My carefully guarded butterflyweed has finally developed it's seedpods and my season of fretting might come to a close when the friut of my labor will be gathered before setting sail on the wind... to be planted in a spot I have dreamed- for years- of having a burst of orange accented by the fluttering wings of butterflies.
This plant has bloomed for three years in my horse pasture. Loved by me, disregarded by horses, mowed over 3 years ago by the bushhog man who had no way of understanding, forgotten seeds lost to the wind... when it came up again this year I vowed to not let another year go by without trying to develop a mass planting of these on the front bank.
I always maintain that the more you love a plant, the more tasty it is to a goat. There was a thicket of blackberries I wanted to goats to eat back this summer, I fenced it off with hog panels- my dogs and I herded the goats to the back of the farm for afternoons of thorny browsing (oh they don't mind the thorns... especially not if they are your prize roses!) This solo butterflyweed was along the route to the pen- and the goats would actually race me the get a bite of it... of all the weeds- they wanted this one. The dogs are capable of understanding the concept of getting goats in a pen... but the idea of allowing them to nibble weeds along the way- except one - was an issue I asserted without swift running canine assistance.
And so you can imagine my love for these precious pods, not so much for the photo, but for the daily appreciation of their potential as they flowered, were visited by delightful pollinators and bourne seed.
Artist team, Pedro Villalta and Montserrat Daubón originally created the Pod for the median just north of 124th Street on Lenox Avenue. However, it has been relocated to Dyckman Avenue and Broadway in Manhattan. The seed pod is a simple and elegant organic shape representing new growth and reflects the artistic revitalization of this Harlem neighborhood. Villalta and Daubón, who met at the Art Students League of New York, both live and work in Harlem. The artists view public art as a bridge – a tangible mode of community outreach that encourages reaction and interaction.
The large, hollow metal sculpture measures 10 feet high and is 3 feet at its widest diameter. It has been given a rough surface texture and is highlighted with bronze. The project was originally presented in partnership with the Mount Morris Park Community Association and now is presented in its’ new location with the Washington Heights BID.

Colecta de la Cruz Roja en el Poder Judicial
Buena respuesta del personal que labora en el Poder Judicial del Estado a la colecta de la Cruz Roja.
Damas integrantes del Voluntariado del Poder Judicial, durante varios días recorrieron las Salas y los Juzgados de Ciudad Judicial Siglo XXI, donde Magistrados, Jueces, Secretarios y demás personal entregó su aportación voluntaria.
Lo mismo ocurrió entre los titulares y personal que labora en las dependencias administrativas que se encuentran en el Palacio de Justicia; así como, en los Juzgados Penales.
La Vocal Titular del Voluntariado, señora Isabel Salomón de López acompañada por las señoras María Dolores Guerrero de López Rubí, y Piedad Rosales Galeazzi de Sánchez Roldán, durante su recorrido exhortaron a todo el personal a colaborar con la noble causa que cada día lleva a cabo la Cruz Roja.

El Magistrado Presidente del Tribunal Superior de Justicia del Estado (TSJP), Roberto Flores Toledano, asistió a la toma de protesta del Delegado de la Secretaría de Gobernación Federal, Manuel Castañeda Rodríguez.
Evento encabezado por el titular del Ejecutivo Rafael Moreno Valle, y el líder de la Cámara de Diputados local Mario Riestra Piña. También estuvo el Director General Adjunto de la Delegación Zona Centro de la SEGOB, Mario Enrique Vázquez Hernández.

I found this seed pod in a parking lot far from its host tree doing what these pods do best, blowing around in the wind.

RFT VISITA JUZGADOS DE HUEJOTZINGO Y SAN PEDRO CHOLULA

Con las premisas de brindar una justicia más cercana, humana y transparente, el Magistrado Presidente del Honorable Tribunal Superior de Justicia del Estado de Puebla (HTSJP), Roberto Flores Toledano, entregó equipos de alta tecnología para juicios orales a los Juzgados Civiles de Huejotzingo y Cholula.
En el primer recorrido por los juzgados Primero y Segundo de lo Civil, encabezados por los jueces Roberto Antonio Mendoza Salmorán y María de los Ángeles Muñoz Cortés, Flores Toledano, hizo entrega de dos computadoras portátiles con cámaras de alta definición, un micrófono y un software para el desarrollo de juicios orales, con lo que afirmó, se seguirán dando pasos firmes en el nuevo sistema de justicia mexicano.
Añadió que con la entrega de recursos y la adecuada capacitación de los trabajadores al servicio del Poder Judicial, se abate el rezago y se brinda mayor certidumbre jurídica por medio de la transparencia.
En los Juzgados de Primer y Segundo Civil de San Pedro Cholula, encabezados por los jueces María Emma Peralta Juárez y Francisco Javier Pérez Castillo, respectivamente, recibieron otros dos paquetes de cómputo.
Taller para agilizar el Juicio Mercantil

Abreviar trámites para agilizar el procedimiento del juicio mercantil, es objetivo del taller interactivo en que participan Magistrados, Jueces y Secretarios de los Juzgados Civiles del Poder Judicial de Puebla.
En la inauguración del Taller Interactivo para Abreviar la Duración del Juicio Ordinario Mercantil, el Magistrado David López Muñoz, Presidente del Tribunal Superior de Justicia, destacó el deseo de los administradores de justicia por dar prontitud, en el término que señala la Ley, a los juicios mercantiles.
La participación de Magistrados, Jueces y Secretarios que se encuentran en esta Aula Magna es, sin duda, muestra del interés de todos nosotros para superar la problemática, puntualizó.
Por su parte, el Magistrado Ricardo Velázquez Cruz señaló que para activar un comercio el inversionista toma en cuenta la estabilidad política de un paìs y la seguridad jurídica que brindan los tribunales.
Como expositores participan la Licenciada Elisa Evangelina Márquez Romero y el Licenciado Eduardo Ramírez Heredia, Director y Subdirector de Litigio de Asuntos Especiales Mercantiles de BANAMEX.
Además, el Doctor Arán García Sánchez, del Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus, Puebla.
Además, el Licenciado Jesús Eduardo Hernández Fonseca, Juez Octavo de Distrito en el Estado, así como la Licenciada Beatriz Alatorre Guerrero, Secretaria de Estudio y Cuenta de dicho Juzgado.

El HTSJP renueva e innova su Sistema de Justicia

El Honorable Tribunal Superior de Justicia del Estado, renueva e innova con equipo de punta su sistema de oralidad para mejorar la impartición de justicia de manera pronta y expedita en beneficio de la sociedad.
Con la incorporación de este equipo Puebla se mantiene entre las primeras entidades del país en el desarrollo de juicios orales.
El Magistrado Presidente, Roberto Flores Toledano, hizo entrega de 30 equipos de video portátiles, al mismo número de juzgados foráneos que constan de dos cámaras de videograbación en alta definición, un micrófono y una computadora portátil.
Subrayó que al facilitar dicho material se abate el rezago con un avance constante en juicios orales para lograr una justicia más cercana, humana y transparente.
En una intensa jornada de trabajo, el titular del Poder Judicial, asignó material didáctico al Centro Estatal de Mediación, proporcionó nuevos vehículos al área de recursos materiales y Servicio Médico Forense.
La primera entrega se llevó a cabo en Ciudad Judicial, donde adjudicó dos camionetas, una de carga para el traslado de material de trabajo, archivos y mobiliario, así como otra unidad de pasajeros para el cumplimiento de comisiones por parte del personal de áreas administrativas.
En compañía de Jueces y Magistrados, el titular del Poder Judicial, inauguró el área de juegos infantiles para juzgados familiares, quienes contarán con un área lúdica donde los menores podrán alejar su atención de conflictos jurídicos y situaciones traumáticas para su desarrollo.
Aunado a ello dotó de juguetes didácticos el CEM con:
•Cuatro familias de muñecos sexuados con 10 piezas cada uno
•Un juego de trastes y de té
•Una cabaña de madera
•Un juego de muebles
•Una carreta de blocks de 94 piezas
•Tres cajas de colores
•Tres cajas de crayolas
Con los juguetes se busca que los niños sean tratados con respeto y sin victimizarlos ante problemáticas y situaciones de abuso sexual y violación de sus Derechos Humanos.
Al respecto al Psicóloga, Margarita Huerta Espinosa, responsable del área, dijo que contar con este material de juegos de jardín y juguetes sexuados el HTSJP ayuda a “salvaguardar el bienestar psicológico y emocional de los menores, donde a través de juegos puedan representar los roles que muchas veces les han adjudicado sus padres, quienes atraviesan por un conflicto”.
En el segundo evento Flores Toledano visitó el Servicio Médico Forense (SEMEFO), donde entregó 16 consultorios médicos completos, mismos que fueron entregados a igual número de delegaciones en la entidad.

Los consultorios constan de biombo, lámpara de chicote, negatoscopio, baumanómetro, estetoscopio, escalerilla, estuche de diagnóstico, mesa de exploración, banco giratorio, vitrina, gabinete de curación, y báscula mecánica.
El Magistrado Presidente de HTSJP, Roberto Flores Toledano, reconoció el trabajo del SEMEFO, que no solamente se ha empeñado en ser de los más destacados de México por trabajar bajo protocolos específicos en medicina forense, sino también por contar con consultorios modernos y un laboratorio Entológico, que lo convierte en la cuarta entidad del país que desarrolla investigación y trabajos con el estudio de fauna, la cual ayuda a determinar el tiempo de descomposición de cadáveres.
El SEMEFO cuenta con 10 nuevas computadoras, cinco con el programa AM/PM (ante-mortem y post-mortem), el cual sirve para crear una base de datos de personas desaparecidas o no identificadas e intercambiar información con otras entidades y cinco más para dictámenes.
Por último hizo entrega de un automóvil compacto para el adecuado traslado de personal y documentos a comparecencias, valoraciones psicológicas y psiquiátricas a los juzgados foráneos y de la capital.
The house "Pod Kruki" (Ravens House) number 25 at the Main Market Square in Kraków is the seat of Międzynarodowe Centrum Kultury (the International Cultural Centre).
Its history goes back to the time when Krakow was granted Magdeburg rights in 1257, although it was given its current shape in the 19th century, when two medieval townhouses were combined into one. The earliest history of the building is represented by a maze of Gothic basements, and the Renaissance period by the preserved wooden ceiling of the entrance hallway and the Tuscan column on the first floor.
Towards the end of the 16th century Stanisław Szafraniec, the Sandomierz Voivod and the building’s owner at the time, turned the Ravens House into his city residence.
In 1842, Anetka Potocka-Wąsowiczowa, née Tyszkiewicz, the granddaughter of Kazmierz Poniatowski, the king’s brother, acquired both the Ravens House and the adjacent Kłosowicz House, integrated the two tenements and transformed them into a representational town palace adorned with a stone balcony on the first floor. In 1844 the residence was handed over to her son Maurycy Potocki. Count Maurycy, an uhlan officer in the November Uprising and a member of the National Committee, did not enjoy his residence for long. The July fire of 1850 devastated one-third of Krakow’s city centre, including the houses in the south-western corner of the Main Market Square. In 1853 the Ravens House was rebuilt.
During the World War II, the Ravens House became an NSDAP headquarters for the Generalgouvernement.
The Ravens House enjoyed its renaissance in the 1990s when – as the home of MCK (the International Cultural Centre) – it underwent a two-stage redevelopment designed by the Krakow-based architect Romuald Loegler.
