The Metaphysical Plot Device delivers a cabinet-within-a-cabinet solution, providing necessary relief from the chaotic creativity purveyed by other wonderboxen. Justin Hall invites you to understand less by viewing the story of the MPD construction, which details how a video loop played off a Raspberry Pi through an LCD screen fronted by painted dollhouse cabinets could emerge from pataphysical efforts to upend our understanding of entertainment and enlightenment. As other wonderboxen wiggle here in nested cabinets, the context for our current reality becomes clear: the Pataphysical Slot Machine is actually part of the Metaphysical Plot Device. We will unveil this wonderbox as part of our Pataphysical Slot Machine exhibit at the Mill Valley Library on October 2, 2015. Learn more at htttp://pataphysics.us

Two millet plots that have both received one night’s worth of cattle manure, either without urine (left hand plot) or including the urine (right hand plot). Does this image show a treatment effect, a case of pre-existing soil variability, or a combination of the two?

A case of a clear urine effect, or a case of a natural fertility gradient, with fertility gradually increasing from left to right, related to the presence of an old termite mound just off-picture on the right? Researchers should investigate both alternatives!

PLOT's VM building in Copenhagen's new town of Orestad. This is the V.

This is a 'collage' style work that consists of a large number of tiny adhesive-backed vinyl scraps that I applied to a sheet of vector-penned drawing on plotter paper in layers. The effect is interesting, though I must say that it felt strange to create on paper without a marking device of any kind. PLEASE NOTE: THE M LOGO IS NOT MY ORIGINAL WORK, IT IS A RENDERING OF A DRAWING THAT I THEN TURNED INTO A COLLAGE.

Just after drawing plot S17 from the pot of dirt with pin pong balls. Merri Corner community garden.

Plot size is S for small, 6m squared, the yearly cost is $90, but this is likely to be reduced. This in not just a plot for growing vegies but a link to the local community. They had a wonderfull allocation ceremony and even gave a handover and acceptance speech, like a wedding :-)

Diego, plotting.

Despite the wind whipping up, we couldn’t resist a walk around the lake, hoping to see more of the big koi and the geese. Diego was particularly enthralled by a brace of turtles we encountered, sunning themselves on a partially exposed log. We sat down in the grass to watch them for a bit, and when they slid into the water and we got up to leave, Diego spied a young man over by the water’s edge, fishing.

Well, not really fishing. He didn’t have a bait or hook, just a small weight on the end of the line, and he was casting and reeling in, casting and reeling in, casting and reeling in… It was clearly more of a meditative, zen-type exercise, and his girlfriend lazed on a blanket behind him, watching without comment.

Diego walked right up to him.

DIEGO: “Did you catch a fish?”

MAN: “No, I’m afraid not.”

DIEGO (pointing to the other side of the lake): “All the fish are over there.”

MAN: “Is that so?”

GIRLFRIEND: “That’s your problem, Jake. You’re fishing in the wrong spot.”

MAN: “Well… thanks for the tip.”

They said their goodbyes. Diego picked a little clover flower and gave it to the man’s girlfriend, and we headed back to find Altamira.

I snapped this picture as Diego peered out over the lake, clearly hatching a plan he knew I wouldn’t be fond of.

Three British Muslim men have been found guilty of planning a string of bombings that prosecutors said could have been deadlier than the July 7, 2005 attacks on London's transport network.

Although the men staunchly denied that they were planning terrorist attacks in Great Britain, the prosecutors said, “These men had dangerous aspirations and, whilst the precise targets are unclear, the potential for damage and loss of life from their plots should not be underestimated. The evidence we put to the court showed the defendants discussing with awe and admiration the attacks of 9/11 and 7/7. These terrorists wanted to do something bigger, speaking of how 7/7 had ‘gone a bit wrong.’”

The phrase “gone a bit wrong” refers to a recorded conversation in which the three were deriding the 7/7 event perpetrators for not filling their bombs with nails, which would likely have resulted in many more deaths.

Although the presiding judge will not officially sentence the three until April or May, speaking to them following the verdict, he told them that they had be convicted on “overwhelming evidence” and that will all face life in prison when they are, at last, sentenced.

The men raised support for their operations by collecting money in the name of Muslim aid organizations, a favorite method of Islamic terrorists. They collected more than £13,000 in three days. Once they began to assemble the actual materials, the police decided that it was time to step in and shut down their jihadist operation.

The Bible speaks of “perilous” times to come in the last days (II Timothy 3:1). The word means “dangerous” as in “harsh, fierce, or savage.” Incidents like this are reminders of the time in which we live. Israel’s very existence is prophetic fulfillment that we are in the last days. It will not be long before the Lord Himself comes to rescue His people from the persecution and perilous times they have endure for 2,000 years. Pray with us for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6). And let’s pray for the protection of innocent people everywhere from the long reach of Islamic terrorists.

Scatter Plots show the relationship among two variables by displaying data points on a two-dimensional graph. The variable that might be measured an explanatory variable is plotted on the x axis, and the reply variable is plotted on the y axis.Scatter plots are especially helpful when there is a large number of a data point and provides relationship between two variables

The Lawton family plot caught my attention while I in the Bonaventure Cemetery. It was huge, so the family must have been wealthy. Then there was this statue of Corinne Elliot Lawton, facing away from the monument to her father and at a distance removed.

It turns out that a lot of people find this plot interesting and that a legend has sprung up to tell the story.

Corinne's father was Confederate Brigadier-General Alexander R. Lawton.

The legend, in short, is that Corinne was in love with a guy from the wrong side of the tracks. Her parents forbade her from marrying him and instead arranged a marriage to someone closer in social standing. Despondent, she killed herself the night before her wedding.

Shamed, Corinne's devout parents disowned her, burying her in the corner of their plot with this sculpture without pupils facing away from the family.

The truth is much less interesting. Corinne died after a short illness. She was buried elsewhere at first but was moved to Bonaventure years her father died and his monument was erected. The official Savannah tourism website really doesn't like the legend.

The Basilica of San Domenico is one of the major churches in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna. The remains of Saint Dominic, founder of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans), are buried inside the exquisite shrine Arca di San Domenico, made by Nicola Pisano and his workshop, Arnolfo di Cambio and with later additions by Niccolò dell'Arca and the young Michelangelo.

Dominic Guzman, on arriving in Bologna in January 1218, was impressed by the vitality of the city and quickly recognized the importance of this university town to his evangelizing mission. A convent was established at the Mascarella church by the Blessed Reginald of Orleans. As this convent soon became too small for their increasing number, the preaching Brothers moved in 1219 to the small church of San Nicolò of the Vineyards at the outskirts of Bologna. Saint Dominic settled in this church and held here the first two General Chapters of the order (1220 and 1221). Saint Dominic died in this church on 6 August 1221. He was buried behind the altar of San Nicolò.

Between 1219 and 1243 the Dominicans bought all surrounding plots of land around the church. After the death of Saint Dominic, the church of San Nicolò was expanded and a new monastic complex was built between 1228 and 1240. The apsidal area of the church was demolished and the nave was extended and grew into the Basilica di San Domenico, This church became the prototype of many other Dominican churches throughout the world.

The Romanesque façade dates from 1240 and was restored in 1910 by the architect Raffaele Faccioli. Between 1728 and 1732 the interior of the church was completely renewed by the architect Carlo Francesco Dotti, sponsored by the Dominican pope Benedict XIII, into its present-day Baroque style.

Bologna (Bulåggna in Emilian and Bononia in Latin) is the capital of and largest city in the Emilia-Romagna region and the Province of Bologna in Northern Italy. It is the seventh most populous city in the country, with about 400,000 inhabitants in the 2020s. Its metropolitan area is home to more than 1,000,000 people. The city is known as la grassa (or the 'Fat City') for its rich cuisine, and the Red City for its red tiled rooftops and, more recently, its leftist politics. It is also called the Learned City because it is home to, what many consider, the oldest university in the world.

Originally Etruscan, the city has been an important urban center for centuries, first under the Etruscans (who called it Felsina), then under the Celts as Bona, later under the Romans (Bonōnia), then again in the Middle Ages, as a free municipality and later signoria, when it was among the largest European cities by population. Famous for its towers, churches and lengthy porticoes, Bologna has a well-preserved historical center, thanks to a careful restoration and conservation policy which began at the end of the 1970s. Home to one of the oldest university in continuous operation, the University of Bologna, established in 1088 C.E., the city has a large student population that gives it a cosmopolitan character. In 2000, it was declared European capital of culture and in 2006. In 2021, UNESCO recognized the lengthy porticoes of the city as a World Heritage Site.

A modern young couple with two children wanted a house in contemporary style on a One Ground (2400 sq ft) plot at the busy area of Adyar in Chennai city.

In urban towns, the land area available is very less and the norms of construction are very rigid. So, people are forced to leave 50% of the plot free of construction to satisfy the rules.

In order to increase the sense of spatial living, an attempt to utilize the vertical space by the means of double / triple heights, perforated stairs, and floating decks were adopted.

Natural sky lighting at important central spaces has been done to achieve this spaciousness.

Rooms within rooms (space within space) concept have been made use of. Bedrooms have living rooms within and a sunken

space act as a family gathering space and as TV room.

Every part of the house has a view of the Temple tree – Plumeria Rurba that springs up in the middle of the building.

Children bedroom has a large attic space allowing a good gathering of friends in the roome giving enough space to do multi various stuffs.

The entire terrace has been landscaped and can be used by the family for playing and relaxing. An open Jacuzzi that looks onto the sky and surrounded by greenery is the perfect spot to escape from the hectic city life.

Old wasted metal sheets have been used to create a façade which will create a drama of light in the interiors. This also helps to provide sun lighting for the bamboo courts and the temple tree.

The Plotting Parlour of Ye Olde White Harte Pub in Hull, England. The Plotting Parlour, which I was surprised to see being used as a billiard room, with the table cover leaning against the beautiful almost 500 year old fireplace, is where the decision was made, in 1642, to deny King Charles the First access to the arsenal in Hull, becoming the first action of the English Civil War.
