With the Indian passengers' inclination to get food on the move, securing a concession stand on the platform is a very much sought after situation. Here the lucky gentleman looks on as his friends, completely oblivious to me, greet one another.
Have to say these oil-fried delicacies looked and smelled delightful but I couldn't quite muster the courage to give them a go. Next time maybe.....
Tanakpur station - 13th October 2015
Made it out to the end of the pier today. Normally, the elevated walking platform is well above head level but not with all of the snow and ice on the pier now.
This is part of the retired St. Louis Union Station. The train and platform now sit as a display of what the station used to look like.
Ahora que por fin he realizado una inversión importante en cuanto a equipo fotográfico, voy a intentar ser más regular en redes sociales (Flickr, Instagram y Twitter, principalmente). Tengo acumuladas unas cuantas fotos que quiero subir a esta plataforma, por lo que espero conseguir esa constancia.
Esta es la primera foto que subo con la Canon 5d mk III, que a partir de ahora será la cámara principal. Poco a poco le voy diciendo adiós a la Canon 7D que tanto me ha dado y con la que tanto he aprendido.
Esta primera foto se trata de un ejemplar de fotografiada durante la estancia en las Islas Chafarinas el pasado mes de junio. De la que os hablaré poco a poco durante las próximas fotografías.
Se trata de una mariposa común en el norte de África que se puede encontrar desde los 0 hasta los 2700 metros de altitud, en esta ocasión hallada a nivel del mar.
Morfológicamente no se puede separar de . , ya que solamente se distingue mediante la genitalia de los machos. Diferencias que a simple vista no permiten una distinción certera.
No obstante, la distribución de ambas permite saber de qué especie se trata. Asi, . es la única que se encuentra en África, España y las Islas cercanas.

Now that I've finally made a significant investment in photography equipment, I'll try to be more regular on social media (mainly Flickr, Instagram, and Twitter). I have stashed a few photos that I want to upload to this platform, so I hope to get there.
This is the first photo I've uploaded with the Canon 5d mk III, which will be the main camera from now on. Little by little I am saying goodbye to the Canon 7D that has given me so much and with which I have learned plenty.
This first photo is of a specimen of photographed during my stay in the Chafarinas Islands last June. Which I will tell you about little by little during the next shots.
It is a common butterfly in North Africa that can be found from 0 to 2700 meters of altitude, on this occasion found at sea level.
Morphologically it cannot be separated from . , since it can only be distinguished by the genitalia of males. Differences that at first glance do not allow an accurate distinction.
However, the distribution of both allows us to know which species it is. And, . is the only one found in Africa, Spain, and the nearby Islands.

Orain, azkenik, argazkilaritza ekipamenduetan inbertsio garrantzitsua egin dudanez, sare sozialetan (Flickr, Instagram eta Twitter, batez ere) ohikoagoa izaten saiatuko naiz. Plataforma honetara igo nahi ditudan argazki batzuk gorde ditut, beraz, hori lortzea espero dut.

Hala ere, bien banaketa geografikoak zein espezie den jakiteko aukera ematen du. Eta, . Afrikan, Espainian eta inguruko uharteetan aurkitzen den bakarra da.

56049 makes light work of its short load on 6K38 Pinnox to Crewe after running round at Stafford 01/04/21. Freight is normally uncommon in this platform due to the length of them, although this working seems to use it quite often
Another challenge and intriguing photography experiment attempting to capture a very busy Sydney train platform on a Friday evening. Lots going on. Places to go to.
Along with Hamilton Square, James Street station, Liverpool is the oldest deep underground station in the world (opened 1886). Platform 2 is one of the original platforms on the underground before the loop line was built and is largely unchanged. Now unused, except when the loop line is shut.
One of UK's iconic post boxes stans proud as one of London Midland's fleet of 172's heads away from Stourbridge Juncion with 2V03 0701 Birmingham Moor Street to Great Malvern.

Honolua Bay on Maui's northwest shore is a favorite spot for experienced surfers. During the winter high surf season, the bay has been known to have a hollow, powerful wave that offers incredibly long rides. The bluffs above the bay offer a perfect viewing platform to watch these talented surfers. It is always amazes me to see all ages of surfers walk up and down the steep bank in bare feet with their surfboard under their arms.
2 reds, 2 oranges, 2 yellows, equal-spaced brightnesses. Then 9 equal-spaced brightnesses every other one filled in: dark grey (RGB 12,15,13), magenta (RGB 64,32,57), blue (RGB 66,66,133), cyan (RGB 71, 143, 143) and white (RGB 245,255,247), overlaid with own-software edge-detection lines in the same colours and brightness breaks, over the top of a cyan (RGB 60,139,156) background.
Gives a red, orange, blue and white abstract perspective that highlights detail of the scene IMO.
