Out and about this morning trying to explore some potential night photography scenes. While I like this spot, I wonder about the vibration I'm going to get when I try and secure my Magic Arm to the platform rails.
If anyone out there has a suggestion on how I might deal with that... Perhaps I can come away with a pretty good image.

There is nothing worse than going home with 3 shots left on a roll of film. You never know when you are going to go out with that particular camera again and it might be that the subject you next shoot with the camera does not suit the film that's loaded in it. So what to do? I think you know what I did.
I like the idea of diptychs and triptychs that can tell a kind of story that anyone can connect with. This isn't a complicated story - a train platform, light coming in from the roof lights, trains and people going past, a photographer sitting on a bench with an old camera balanced on his knee. The End.

Rebecca: I'm fairly sure they are immortal, but sure.

.... of the Ramsbottom railway station.
A station building containing a ticket office and waiting room has been rebuilt on Platform 2.
Between 2006 and 2007, a Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway pattern canopy was erected on this platform, providing a covered area next to the station building.
On Platform 1, a small waiting shelter is provided.
The level crossing remains at the north end of the platforms, and retains its wooden gates which are worked by the traditional 'ship's wheel' in the adjacent signal box.
