1963 STUDEBAKER AVANTI
Aurora – 560
1/25 Scale – 1964
Although carrying a 1963 copyright on the box, the Aurora Avanti didn’t appear on retail shelves until October 1964. Even so, that was still about six months before AMT’s version materialized in 1965, thus making Aurora’s effort the first Avanti kit.
There were 4 kits in this series. In 1983 Fujimi took some of their 1/24 scale stock car kits and added weapons and accessories ala “Mad Max”! Many of the bolt-on extra parts were duplicated between the 4 kits.
1955 CORVETTE
ITC – 3686-3
1959
I don’t have an actual kit to take measurements, but all ITC catalogs and advertising list the model as 16” long. The real 1953-55 Corvettes had an overall length of 167.3”. Working with these dimensions, the model would be approximately 1/10.5 scale.
Master Grade 1/100 scale model kit
The Predecessor (season 2 - left) and the Successor (Gundam 00 movie - right) units both piloted by Setsuna F. Seiei. Only missing is the GN-001 Exia (season 1) and I don't plan of getting one.
On the left is a Nitto Kauz that I started ~15 years ago and never finished. On the right, a Wave Kauz I actually finished, with the camo pattern I'd envisioned but lacked the skill to pull off. The Nitto version was one of the first models I ever built (and it shows...). For some reason, it's using SAFS legs, and I'm not sure whether that's how the kit came or whether I kitbashed them.

The Zentradi are the main antagonists in Macross. And they're huge. This ship is actually 4 km long.
I am aware that these are models I very recently shared here, but I couldn’t resist. The completion of a new diorama board brings the perfect opportunity for a new photoshoot. Pictured parked on the sand of Eoligarry’s Traigh Mhor beach, is G-HIAL, a De Havilland Canada -6 Twin Otter of Loganair, in Saltire livery and with Transport Scotland decals.
Barra Airport (EGPR) is the only airport in the world where scheduled flights land on a tidal beach. Barra has 3 bi-directional runways on Traigh Mhor beach (07/25, 11/29, 15/33), in a triangle pattern, aircraft can essentially always land into the wind. Loganair operated flights to & from Glasgow are Public Service Obligation “lifeline” flights, and so funded or subsidised by government.

Over the last few days I have got the Stug all painted and assembled, including the individual link tracks which went together quite well.
Now it needs some weathering, such as washes, pigments and oil paint fading.
This will be going into my first 1:35 diorama where It will be driving down a cobbled road.
Here is how my Revell 1/72 scale Lancaster looks as posed on my set up airfield bench top, that I posted in my previous photo.
