New caboose, who dis?
This is my third LGB-based bobber caboose. These are a lot of work because the sides from the factory mold have this flat part for a DRGW logo. To make them look better, new groves have to be cut to make the planks look separate.
This caboose features a lantern on the roof, lit by track power. My other builds had lit lanterns on one end of the car.
It looks like I forgot to paint the yellow on some of the grab irons. I also ordered new Kadee couplers for this car, which will finish the project.
Macro Mondays 'silhouette' theme.
I really enjoyed this theme, so much so that I ended up with several shots I liked and had to make a decision which one to submit. This one is a small plastic model of a GSD with moveable head, legs and tail - it measures 6.5 cm from nose to tail tip so I hope the photo just squeezes in for the MM requirements. His 'ball' is a tiny silver dragee.
I placed the model and his ball on a blue box in a light tent, with a blue backdrop. A sb900 speedlight was fired, through a softbox and also through the back of the tent (which further diffused the light) at 1/8 power.
These bins, as binoculars are popularly known among birders, are focused on an American Goldfinch--not a real bird, of course, but a realistic plastic model.

NordArt 2024
The rebellious Czech artist David Černý is one of the most prominent personalities in the art world of the Czech Republic. With his works, which are often in a socio-critical context, he deliberately creates controversy and attracts the attention of both the public and the media. The independent cultural scene of the late '80s had a very strong influence on Černý's artistic career.
