It appeared that at some point an addition was built on the south side of the property. Here, the ceiling trim appears to vanish into a plastered wall.

Witley Court is one of the finest ruined country houses in Britain today. It was built by Thomas Foley in 1655 on the site of a former manor house near Great Witley. Subsequent additions were designed by John Nash in the early 1800s and the Court was subsequently bought by the Dudley family in 1837.

In the September of 1937, whilst the house was owned by a Kidderminster carpet manufacturer Sir Herbert Smith, a fire started in the ballroom. Although causing a lot of damages, some of the house survived.

The following year, the house was divided up into auctioned lots and sold off to demolition contractors and timber merchants.

It remained derelict until the 1970's and is now under the watchful eye of English Heritage.

I know there are a few minor defects with this but it is my first mask. Hardest part was creating the plaster mold--I did it by myself. Not yet bisqued.

A memory back from the days when my right hand was imprisoned in plaster. Writing notes was not easy, however it was still far easier than drawing images on coffee cups.

Throughout the Main Building there are also plaster replicas of Greek and Roman statues that students are often required to make studies of their Foundation year.

Shot in my garden, in the sun as a test for hi speed flash sync using the 580EXII.

Hoping to shoot some project work next week and I need the studio look, outdoors, which is a pain.

This here, is a plaster cactus, hand painted (some might say in a 'rustic' style by myself.

In my masks, I use Plaster of Paris as the base and then cover them with polymer clay.

This is a flat plaster Christmas ornament, I used to paint a lot of these, especially in the 1990s. There was a great selection of them in the crafts stores back then.

(13) The last layer of the mold has been poured. Previous layer exposing feet has been waxed for release, a new batch of plaster mixed up and poured. It will be no great tragedy if this second layer bonds by mistake to the earlier one, since many molds don't bother with the separation anyway.
