Alyssum flowers in a planter's box sitting on our balcony. This was taken through the ceiling to floor glass window hence the unusual looking bokeh...almost like a lens baby effect.
Many thanks for your visit, comments, invites and faves..it is always appreciated.

I was eating my breakfast when I noticed a squirrel bound up on one of our planter boxes and look over the flowers. Suddenly he grabbed the biggest pansy blossom and ate it slowly, the way I try to eat chocolate ice cream.
HAPPY SLIDERS SUNDAY !!
Yes, I did some sliding toward the max.
However the colors of many buildings in Alsace
are close to the max all by themselves.
I think a caption with a little humor in it is in the spirit of Sliders Sunday.
Location: Eguisheim, Alsace FR.

Narai-juku was a post town roughly half-way along the Nakasendo route which ran between Kyoto and Tokyo during the Edo Period. It is now a designated Architectural Preservation Site, and retains many carefully preserved houses and businesses from that era. I particularly loved the carefully maintained facades of the buildings which line the main street.

the focusing mechanism sound amuses me wiz wiz :-)
playing around with my new/old Minolta Maxxum 7000. Program mode and auto-focus is quite a departure for me compared to the cameras I use, and the way I shoot.

The photograph presents a perspective looking through a modern, arched walkway towards the Nusretiye Mosque in Istanbul. The walkway is constructed with a reddish-brown material and features a lush green planter box along the top edge. The walkway leads to a paved area with trees and benches, and in the background, the prominent dome and minarets of the Nusretiye Mosque are visible against a partly cloudy sky. Several people are seated at tables in the foreground, suggesting a cafe or outdoor seating area.
