Sunday, I was suppose to have a family shoot at a park near our house, but shit happened and they couldn't get ahold of us, so we rescheduled. I did get a few shots of some ducks and geese, but my husband's hot bokeh'd arm wins for today's 365 shot. Plus he was wearing one of our friend's band's shirts, so yeah.

A Picture Inspiration prompt from way back in the beginning of August... well-balanced. I'm not very good at putting things right in the middle of the frame. I like the off-balanced shots, leaving open space on one side or another of the frame. Two things I think make this bulls-eyed shot work for me:
1. It's not really bulls-eyed. I cheated a bit by putting it in the bottom of the frame, leaving a whole lot of negative space at the top.
2. My subject just plumb isn't symmetrical. And I like it that way.
I adore the delicate handles on this set (a fabulously lovely birthday gift from my sister and brother-in-law). I also like the half reflected heart they make, hiding quietly on the right hand side of the cup. So this is well-balanced. Or at least about as balanced as I can muster right now.
