Sorry again for the crappy iPhone picture, taken at night no less.
Will be all hand pieced and quilted. Linen in between the star diamonds. Not 100% convinced it is in my partners taste. I think it's pretty cool ;)
I'm also not 100% on the placement. What do you guys think?

not your typical 'i'm-shooting-something-in-the-backyard-up-close-with-the trees-in-the-background-bokeh' (nothing wrong with that, but i thought i'd switch it up a bit).

A Threadless Loves Threadless 2k10 design submission.
Basically its a play on the word manta ray and I wanted to create a design using traditional mantra/tantra/buddhist/hindu symbols, elements and designs.
Please vote for me!
I'm not 100% sure that the artist really thought this particular design out prior to its application.

This story and accompanying advertisement on MSN made me laugh this morning! The editor will get a butt-chewing for this I'm sure!
My daughter lining up her crayons. Maybe a little over-processed, but there are definitely parts that I really like about this shot.
For the past 10 years, people have been making fun of the eighties. Why are we bringing them back?

I was scoping through my pictures and instantly fell in love with this edit. Unintentional Canon product placement.

Was Schweppes a major sponsor of the event? Yes. Schweppes was indeed a major sponsor of the event. But I don't mind product placement when the sponsor contributes so much towards keeping a terrific public event viable.
I hope the musicians took full advantage of the grosses of bottles on the stage.
Step One: set up a photo where the entire shot is filled with ginger ale bottles and the lead musicians.
Step Two: Write a song that somehow works in the concept of ginger ale or mixers.
Step Three: Put photo on CD cover.
The thing markets itself.
A little-known fratboy musician took to a remote stage of a festival sponsored by Burger King almost twenty years ago. That man followed this advice, and wrote "Cheeseburger In Paradise" the very night he got back to his apartment.
And that man's name was...Harve Jennings. He played the song for his girlfriend and didn't get more than eight bars into it before she pointed out that it was almost exactly like the Jimmy Buffet song. He claimed that it was more of a homage or a pastiche, really. Then she said, "Oh, is that how they define 'plagiarism' at that community college you flunked out of?" and then he said "Couldn't you support me just once, on anything I do?"
Which was a serious tactical error in his part. That retort practically begged her to mention all the times in the past year that she had to cover his half of the rent. And, well, things really went downhill from there.
But it's still a good idea.
The motors are huge 1000 watt, 36 volt monsters made by Unite Motors (MY1020). I am concerned about motor efficiency. This much wattage uses much battery power. Lack of power? I think not!
I like the zig zag more now than I did when I was first playing with these about a year and a half ago.
I'm impressed whenever I see this font in use, though its placement here is kind of bizarre.
Make the fur on your weiner dog or your pussycat soft and glowing!
Shows placement of Velcro pads. A strip of standard double-sided foam tape was added (one side used only) for better spacing and cusion of the extension block. (Use additional foam tape strips if you have big hands ;-)

I'd have liked to move slightly to the left for this shot but there was already someone swearing at me from the car trying to go round the corner ...
