GW (Ginger & White) is a very friendly cat but Barney & Pixie will not tolerate him. Here Pixie has a go at him while Barney supervises out of shot
Pixie is the only cockatiel who likes to play...with the official birdie toys, that is. Here he is while he was still young and still has his "Pearls". His beak has a ridge on it because, when he was a baby, Sunshine bit it. After a trip to the vet, and one a couple of month's later to check out his beak (Pixie nailed the vet on his next visit. Nothing wrong with that karate beak!), he is fine, his beak works as it should, he eats and plays and is a happy bird. But, I think the ridge is probably permanent.

Got the chance to check out one of my favorite bands from college, the Pixies. Show was at the Rave in Milwaukee (in the annoyingly awkward, Eagles Ballroom).
The feature of this tour was playing the classic album, Doolittle in its entirety. They also played a great encore where they blasted through most of Surfer Rosa as well (setlist here). In the shot above, they are playing Wave of Mutilation.
I appreciate bands who embrace new technology--the imagery playing on the screen behind them connected the creepy lyrics in a way that is much more appreciated live. They still have it--the show was superb.
