This Pixie has got attitude! Gotta love the gas cap – topped with an Italian 10 Lire coin. Go, Pixie, Go!
The Dirtbag Challenge is a bike build off for real working people. You get thirty days to build a chopper, you can’t spend more than $1,000 (including the bike), and you have to complete a 100 mile ride on it. Only the builders get to vote for the winners (except the People’s Choice Award).
The event is more like the coolest party you’ll ever attend. An incredibly diverse crowd, food and beer, loud music, burnouts – total chaos! More fun than is humanly possible with the best and truest friends you’ll ever have.
The website thedirtbagchallenge.com/ describes it best:
“The Dirtbag Challenge started as a reaction to the increasing perception that a custom motorcycle had to be expensive. There is a belief that custom bikes are the exclusive right of rich pretty boys and media personalities, rolling around on cookie cutter motorcycles that cost the same as a small family home. Well that’s bullshit.
The Dirtbag Challenge is a low rent chopper build-off, featuring real world bikes for riding in the real world. More than that, at the heart of it is a need to do your own thing, to break away from the same old mainstream ideals.
Dirtbag is about doing things your own way – without anyone’s approval, without anyone’s permission. Build the bike you want, live the life you choose. If we can do it, so can you.”

The Pixie opened in 1948 and was the first drive-in restaurant in Mt. Pleasant. Today, the Pixie Restaurant has the 50's/60's neon look and a dining room with a 50's juke box, memorabilia and the same great food and service the Pixie has made famous for over 50 years.
That blurb from the management company's website that now owns the Pixie. Still looks like a nice place, but too bad the drive-in part is gone. Kudos to them for having a ton of neon.
When Pixie Lott played the Peace One Day concert at Ebrington in Derry/Londonderry, she came in for quite a bit of ridicule because she didn't talk to the waiting press and photographers and after doing her bit on stage seemed to hastily disappear.
As we made our way through security at George Best Belfast City Airport, one of the security staff whispered to Abbi that Pixie Lott was just up ahead. After claiming our bits and pieces, Abbi approached and asked if she could have a photo. Pixie could not have been any more polite and accomodating, waiting as we changed from camera to iPhone.
Upon clearing security, rather than opting for some sort of VIP lounge treatment, she made her way around the airport shops, modestly obliging whenever asked for a photo.
In conclusion, the negative radio commentary which followed Pixie's Derry/Londonderry appearance may have been a tad unwarranted and may possibly had more to do with a management decision than hers.
***BTW. Matt Allright take note of how a person considerably further up the celebrity ladder than you reacts when politely asked for a photo***

BTW that's Pixie's Ma keeping a watchful eye in the background :-)
Gracefaerie's Simply Summer Pattern; Michele Hardy Fwig (now her default wig); default faceup enhanced by me.
So, Pixie (or Wicket) ate Pixie's collar the other week... which would make it the 87th collar they've gone through. Mommy picked up a nice collar last night, and I cut it to better fit Pixie's neck. Well, Pixie apparently didn't like wearing a collar as much as she liked NOT wearing a collar. At some point in the evening, Pixie took it upon herself to remove the new collar - but failed in her attempt. Pictured here is the result of her effort. It got stuck in her mouth - a leather gag. Yikes. Had this been Wicket, I fear we would have gone to the emergency room...
Many people on Ravelry wound up with a hat TRULY sized for a pixie, or a kid. i um, well, went a little overboard, "grew" the pattern and made a pixie HOOD instead. i'm thinking of putting long ties on each side/ear point. I started this hat on the March 4th tour back in September, finished the actual knitting and put it aside and only now got around to teaching myself the (very easy) Kitchener stitch, which makes an invisible seam that duplicates a row of knitting.
Novo look criado para minha cliente @jhennisilveria desta fez a proposta foi um Pixie Cut com movimento e muito estilo ✂️🔥
This is a picture of Pixie Geldof, the origional photo was taken for a vouge fashion shoot, but i thought id do a drawing. I have to say it looks better large :) i was thinking this coule be a cool tattoo design, but obviously not exactly the same
A pixie will appear when it wants you to see it. Do not, whatever you do, look directly at it. It will cavort about, do handstands and flips. It will turn its head into a balloon and float it on a string. It will whine like a puppy and cry like a baby. Ignore it. If you know what's good for you, you'll pay no attention to it. Because what it wants you to do is follow it.
Suppose you did. In the beginning it would be like a child's game of tag, the pixie turning around and laughing, always just a step ahead. Then it would pick up speed, become nimble, dart from bush to rock to tree. You would try to keep up but you'd grow weary doing so. If it were to get to this stage, you'd be done for. You would never be heard from again.
So avoid eye contact. They can be quite entertaining otherwise.
Pixie coming in for the snatch. Actually, she's not really brave enough to actually snatch the toy from Pyper, but she zooms closer and closer, working up her courage.
I've uploaded this twice, but on my computer the image won't display in my photostream, so I hope it can be seen by others.
Pixie is ever alert for little, furry critters. At age 14, she can't hear them too well anymore but the nose still works.
