This is Pixie, found her on eBay.
In 1991 Multi Toys Corp created a line of mermaid dolls. The line was simply called "Mermaids". The line consists of 11 1/2" dolls/fashions, 9 1/2" fashions, "Pretty Poseable Mermaids with Long Beautiful Hair"(dolls that are about 4 1/2"), and these "Pretty Little Mermaids with Long Beautiful Hair". Originally these "Pretty Little Mermaids..." came in plastic baggies. Click HERE and HERE to see front and back of the baggie.
None of the Multi Toys Mermaids have individual names printed on their packaging, but on the back card of the "Pretty Poseables" and 9 1/2" fashions there is a printed image of 12 mermaids. Each of these mermaids has a name near them. The 12 mermaids are the "Pretty Little Mermaids". This is most obvious when you look at the tops the mermaids are wearing.

Pixie is my daughter's cat. As she's moving back in here at home after she graduates in a few weeks, her two cats came here a few weeks ago to get acclimated to their new home. Everything was going well.
Pixie died suddenly on Friday with little warning that anything was wrong. When we got her to the vet, she had already died moments before. The vet said she died of liver failure and there was nothing we could have done to save her. We're all devastated. Pixie was only 5 years old.

I make anthropologic figure bags these days... they are reminding me of Moldavia and Bucovina Masks. the masks were used in rituals concerning fertility, initiations, hunting...
I used only recycled threads-like always..., this time almost wool...
beside is a button necklace made with all my "ugly"buttons and beads I had around...
When I was little my Grandad would tell me his stories of a tiny pixie with a big hat and the creatures of the forest he would meet and help.

I'd long ago decided the pixie wasn't working as Akari's daughter, Juniper. I'd stolen her wig and had her try Jurianna's old one and then more recently, Yaazi's old wig from when she was an MSD. I rather liked it on her. Granted, at the time I'd figured I'd just get her another kana long in a more normal color, but now I'm not sure. She might keep this color.
My current story for her: She's one of the grand, immortal faes. One of the rare, powerful beings from the deep fae. However, either she was banished from the fae lands because of her love of the mortal world and turning her back on the fae traditions, or some catastrophe happened to her to sever her from the fae. Either way, she's lost her immortality and her grand fae magic. She is essentially a lower fae now and still has some fae magic, but is no longer uber powerful. I'm still deciding more about her - I think she's a bit sweet and quiet and unassuming, which makes her an interesting mix with Rusalka, my half demon girl, who is also sweet and quiet and unassuming. I'm hoping they'll do well together.
Also, I don't think she needs the glasses, I think she just finds them amusing.

These figures are based on the ‘Discworld’ novels by Terry Pratchett. I’ve long been a fan of his
books, and collected the figures several years ago.
I thought you might like to see them in all their glory.
I have been toying around with the idea of a Pixie Shoe with a pointed toy for babies for quite a while now, and this is what I have come up with.
I just used some Linen scraps that I had floating around and it's worked out quite well (I think :-)
It's fully lined with all the interior seam hidden, so it's comfortable for a baby to wear.
I'll be trying out a few different fabrics, and maybe use one fabric for the lining and another co-ordinating fabric for the outer. I've also got a few ideas for screenprinting onto the fabric as well :-)
I might make larger sizes with non-slip soles in the future as well.
I might also add some sort of elasticised area at the back to help keep them on the feet more securely.
And yes, i think I will also try and make them in bigger sizes, for adults too!
Our flickr friend Kazumi has done a painting of Pixie!
I love this, and we are very proud someone took time to draw my handsome boy.
Kazumi has a lot of more wonderful paintings on the photostream: White Moon Studio.
