Washington, DC - Miss Pixie's is a wonderful used furniture and accessories shop in DC where generations of people have found cool, funky, amazing items and given them new life in their homes. We all hope the shop will survive the pandemic. This is a photo of the Miss Pixie car across the street from the Miss Pixie shop, featuring its signature color - you guessed it - pink.
Mark successfully kept this alive on the stones that used to be steps and are now a wall that he built.

I love these mini casseroles! So much fun.
Picked them up a few years ago, to use with my Blue Heaven dishes.
As Arthur C Clarke noted, any sufficiently advanced technology is is indistinguishable from magic. In the case of Magnetic Resonance Imaging scanners, the boundaries between technology and magic are blurred. Although we radiologists are taught in-depth MRI physics, the adage is that 'If you think you understand MRI physics, you don't'.
Hence many radiologist suspect that these machines have their internal workings controlled by pixies. This suspicion has now been affirmed - I captured one of these elusive pixies on camera just this morning.
This Siemens Aera is a state-of-the-art scanner at the Spire Hospital in Bristol where I do some 'humanitarian' work [ahem].
It is a hugely impressive machine; 4.8 tonnes in weight with a niobium-titanium superconducting magnet bathed in liquid helium (-269ºC), which itself is insulated by liquid nitrogen (-196ºC). This said, scanning is remarkable safe. So long as you aren't sporting ferromagnetic foreign bodies within you.
Interestingly MRI was largely invented by Sir Peter Mansfield who shared the Nobel prize in 2003. Sir Peter should not be confused with his namesake Flickrite, the all-round good egg Zenas M.
This is Pixie - six months ago nervous, suspicious, dull, brown and balding, and more recently having transformed into a confident, relaxed gleaming black beauty.
Yesterday she won her first prize - 5th Best 6 months - 2 Year Old Greyhound Bitch at the Great Greyhound Gathering.
I'm very proud, that was a terrific achievement for her.

Now you have an idea on what's going to be the theme of the shoot later.... I was applying test make-up so i can easily work them up with the models later... I love green and gold eye make-up!!! That's usually the color i wear when i go out at night.
I love my Canon Digital Ixus 70! The best friend i never had!

I listen to songs with languages that i can't understand when i want to unwind.... I usually think a lot so it's better for me to listen to songs i can't understand when i'm worried... At least i can't bump into upbeat songs with sad lyrics, it adds to my depression... hahaha!
I absolutely adore photographing other people because the results always seem to be glorious.
As the handful of you that follow my work have probably noticed I have been absent from Flickr lately. I just more or less ran out of ideas or didn't have the editing skills to edit the pictures properly and I'd rather not post at all than post something I'm not totally proud of. Anyway I am VERY proud of this and I hope you all like it. Comments and feedback are always welcome.

The very top of Pixie Pinnacle is just 2-3 metres underwater. It is situated on the Ribbon Reefs off the coast of Cooktown.
At 30 metres tall and roughly 15 metres across, Pixie Pinnacle is a pyramid of hard and soft corals, gorgonian fans, sea whips and sponges.
With my trusty fisheye lens, this was my attempt to capture the top of the pinnacle and show what this dive site is all about.
If you're very, very quiet and still you may see a glimmer of a pixie palace or maybe a twinkle of a fairies wing.... Mixed media- fabric, quilted house with 12x12 canvas and little pixie paper doll

Pixie watches a human TV show and studies it intently to write a review later on. "This certainly is not as interesting as catnip!" Pixie muses as she struggles to get through the hour. "Watching paint dry is a bit more intriguing!"
My prototype Owl Pixie Hat, handknitted last night.
Unfortunately it's quite dull here today so I can't get a decent picture, but the colour is actually a sort of stone/camel shade.
I'm quite pleased how it turned out - I think all the maths paid off!
Pixie took me to a place near home where she saw a pony... She wants one for Christmas but I'll have to think about it!
