The characteristic ice-cool pale wisps of noctilucent clouds in the distance (at 80km, their altitude far exceeds any other normal cloud up to 12km). As I watched a low-lying cloud of mist formed over Strathearn and made its way west over Crieff.

Where ever I can I prefer to use Pixelshift with my old SMC Pentax-A 24/2.8, it seems to be one of those lenses that drastically improves in sharpness with that feature on.
This shot here is a 4-5 panorama stitch with each shot in pixelshift mode.
I'm in the states, the stupa is half a kilometer away in Canada, and the balloon is a mile away in the states again. Crazy, huh? There wasn't much time to catch them together.
Prior to metamorphosis, this used to be sandstone. Now it forms a medium/coarse-grained rock, pale blue-green in colour, along the line of the Highland Boundary Fault.

This time, I wanted to see what happens when I add a bit of accentuation of all the wall details that has already been captured with pixelshift.

Note: my images are processed to appear correct on a calibrated, professional grade colour-accurate monitor set to Adobe RGB output / 6500 K temperature / gamma 2.2. Many consumer grade screens (particularly mobile phone screens) at default settings will display these images with too much saturation and contrast, so please bear this in mind when viewing on such devices.

Still waiting for the weather to improve so I can get out and test some of the K-1 Pixel Shift capabilities in the field. In the meantime, here are a couple of quickie still life/macro shots, shot on a tripod in my lviing room with natural light.
I used a Canon FL 55mm f/1.2 prime lens that I had converted a while back to fully manual K mount. Despite being half a century old, it's one of my favorite lenses, making up for any shortcomings in sharpness/aberrations with simply gorgeous rendering of both in-focus and out of focus elements of a scene.
Both images were taken at ISO100 with pixel shift activated. The closeup of the Columbine flower required the use of a 20mm extension tube, while the wider angle stil life has been cropped about 10-15%.
