I am on the second floor of an abandoned factory.
On every floor at the end of the staircase there is small room, but this one is different.
Painted in a bright color of green, that has been touched by time. Somebody has added a tiny heart, the dripping paint makes it look like it is bleeding....
You are constantly looking at pixels on the computer screen but you don't really see them since they are so small. They are small enough to blend together to form a coherent image, up close they look like squares of red, green, and blue. This is the white in the background of flickr by the way.
I made this 3D pixel art in GIMP. The original picture came from (commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Colorful_pottery.jpg) then I changed the colors to get the other two.
These birch catkins have always caught my eye, and here I've given them a pretty wild treatment.
The original image had yellow-green catkins on a dark background, but wanted a blue and purple look.
I placed two pdpa textures above the original - Strands of Sunshine (exclusion, 100%) and Musique (vivid light, 65%) then added a curves layer to darken the image. Now I had the purple catkins I wanted, but the background was mainly pink, with touches of salmon and gold.
I then added two more pdpa textures Painterly Klimt (exclusion 100%) and Periwinkle Chiffon (vivid light, 80%) to get the blue background, masking out the catkins so they remain purple.
The collage is just 4 copies of the original image, flipped and rotated to get this effect.
Un coche de tamaño natural construido únicamente con ladrillos se aparca en la calle ocupando una plaza de aparcamiento. Es un coche pixelado en tres dimensiones inspirado en un utilitario contemporáneo. Para su ejecución se utiliza ladrillo aplantillado macizo de color rojo Madrid. Siguiendo un aparejo ortogonal a soga, la construcción traza en cada hilada la sección horizontal del coche. El capó y la capota se conforman sobre un tablero de rasillón que se apoya sobre tabiques palomeros. Las ruedas son de un pie de espesor. El coche pesa cinco toneladas.
Mmmm... es un colectivo afincado en Madrid, compuesto por un gran número de colaboradores y por Emilio Alarcón (ingeniero naval), Alberto Alarcón (arquitecto), Ciro Márquez (arquitecto), y Eva Salmerón (periodista); que trabaja en proyectos sociales con carácter artÃstico.

Adoptando estrategias de promoción habituales en el mercado de consumo, se persigue llamar la atención sobre dos propuestas artÃsticas, con denominación de origen, en este caso, Madrid. 2 x 1 presenta los nuevos trabajos de dos nombres a tener en cuenta de la escena artÃstica madrileña, Los Torreznos y el colectivo mmmm..., en un espacio único: Matadero Madrid. Dos artistas, dos disciplinas, dos propuestas para una propuesta única.

A previous upload, processed with a terrain generating program. Converting the colours of the original image in to an interactive depth map. Two screenshots were captured to create this stereoscopic version. The original image is of a televisions pixels, magnified and distorted through a crystal ball.
