Started in Hipstamatic and then a sky change in Quickshot. Refinements using Pixelmator, Photoshop, Photos, and Snapseed.

Lovely building inside and out. Originally built in 1875.

This is in the “French Hill” section of Nashua, which is where I was raised. “French Hill” takes its name from having a high concentration of French speaking Canadian immigrants. By the time I moved away during my mid-20’s, most had already left but the name lives on.

Nikon Rumours a rapporté que le Z8 est désormais l'appareil photo le plus vendu chez les cinq principaux détaillants japonais.

Cependant, un examen plus approfondi des graphiques montre que ce n'est pas seulement le Z8 qui suscite l'intérêt des consommateurs japonais ; le Nikon Z9 fait aussi des vagues.

Le Nikon Z9 apparaît sur trois des cinq premières listes, occupant respectivement la troisième place, la deuxième place et la deuxième place chez Yodobashi Camera, Map Camera et Fujiya Camera.

Il est à noter que le Z8, malgré le même capteur d'image empilé plein format de 45,7 mégapixels et l'incroyable système de mise au point automatique que le Z9, n'a apparemment pas nui à la popularité de ce dernier.

Sony et Canon affichent également de bonnes performances, notamment le Sony Alpha 7 IV et le Canon EOS R6 Mark II.

Le fait que le Z8 ait maintenant grimpé dans les palmarès des ventes des cinq plus grands magasins d'appareils photo du Japon est une preuve du grand retour de Nikon sur le marché photographique !

Pour ma part et après l’avoir eu en mains à plusieurs reprises grâce à Nikon Belgium, il est difficile de ne pas recommander le Nikon Z8 à qui que ce soit dans sa gamme de prix, et je ne peux pas penser à une situation photographique qu'il ne gérerait pas avec aplomb !

Nikon Rumors reported that the Z8 is now the top-selling camera across the top five Japanese retailers.

However, a closer look at the charts shows that it's not just the Z8 that's piqued the interest of Japanese consumers; the Nikon Z9 is also making waves.

The Nikon Z9 appears on three of the top five lists, taking third place, second place, and second place respectively at Yodobashi Camera, Map Camera, and Fujiya Camera.

It's worth noting that the Z8, despite having the same 45.7-megapixel full-frame stacked image sensor and incredible autofocus system as the Z9, apparently didn't hurt the latter's popularity.

Sony and Canon are also showing strong performance, notably the Sony Alpha 7 IV and the Canon EOS R6 Mark II.

The fact that the Z8 has now climbed the sales charts of Japan's top five camera stores is proof of Nikon's great comeback in the photographic market!

For my part and having had it in my hands several times thanks to Nikon Belgium, it is difficult not to recommend the Nikon Z8 to anyone in its price range, and I cannot think of a photographic situation that he would not manage with aplomb!

L'artiste espagnol Jaume Plensa a installé ses sculptures monumentales dans l'un des bâtiments les plus historiques de Palma de Majorque. La Llotja, un bâtiment du XVe siècle, abrite aujourd'hui le Mirall de Plensa (qui signifie « miroir » en catalan), une exposition qui reflète les dualités du monde. Sous son plafond voûté, deux sculptures en acier inoxydable de 7 mètres de haut ont été érigées, mêlant le contemporain à ce bel exemple d'architecture gothique catalane.

Spanish artist Jaume Plensa has brought his monumental sculptures inside one of Palma de Mallorca's most historic buildings. The 15th-century La Llotja is now home to Plensa's Mirall (meaning “mirror” in Catalan), an exhibition that reflects on the dualities of the world. In it, two 23-foot-tall stainless steel sculptures have been erected under its vaulted ceiling, blending the contemporary with this fine example of Catalan Gothic architecture.

As the concert finishes, the violinist has retired to their dressing room for a well-deserved cup of tea! Shot with a Canon 60D, Sigma 50mm F1.4 Lens, taken at 1/6 sec exposure, F11, ISO 200. Processed entirely in Pixelmator and Snapseed on an iPad

A 14 photo stitch using Hugin. Photos on my old Lumix TZ-1 (I think that is the correct model). A little enhancement in Pixelmator Pro. There were, in fact, 21 photos (3 rows of 7) but I cut out the middle row to see if it was needed. Verdict: not really except for some blending issues.

Bien que de nombreuses personnes aient une peur erronée des araignées, ce sont des animaux très sensibles !

Lorsque les araignées ne se sentent pas menacées, elles sont généralement très calmes et dociles et ne prêtent pas beaucoup d’attention aux gens !

Evidemment, il est essentiel de les aborder très lentement et tranquillement !

Le talentueux photographe macro David Joseph consacre beaucoup d’efforts à montrer à ses sujets à huit pattes qu’il n’est pas là pour les blesser ou les déranger.

Bien que se rapprocher pour capturer suffisamment d'images pour une pile de mise au point puisse sembler effrayant, Joseph dit que les araignées «n'attaquent pas».

Cela ne veut pas dire qu'il ne faut pas faire attention et savoir si la morsure d'une araignée est médicalement significative avant de ramper dans les plantes, surtout la nuit

Cependant, très peu d’araignées constituent une véritable menace pour les humains adultes en bonne santé, et encore moins mordront quelqu’un qui ne les harcèle pas activement …

Une dernière chose “les artistes”, je ne vous recommande pas de faire de la macro comme Joseph, il y a bien d’autres sujets que vous pourrez capturer et poster sur cette galerie 😗

When spiders don't feel threatened, they are usually very calm and docile and don't pay much attention to people !

Obviously, it is essential to approach them very slowly and calmly !

Talented macro photographer David Joseph puts a lot of effort into showing his eight-legged subjects that he's not there to hurt or disturb them.

Although getting close to capture enough images for a focus stack may seem scary, Joseph says the spiders "don't attack.”!

This doesn't mean you shouldn't be careful and know if a spider bite is medically significant before crawling through plants, especially at night

However, very few spiders pose a real threat to healthy adult humans, and even fewer will bite someone who is not actively harassing them...

One last thing “artists”, I do not recommend that you do macro like Joseph, there are many other subjects that you can capture and post on this gallery 😗

Des chercheurs de plusieurs universités américaines ont fait analyser les conversations de 964 rendez-vous de speed dating par des humains et une intelligence artificielle, puis ont comparé les comptes-rendus avec le ressenti des participants.

L’étude publiée en juin 2024 révèle que ChatGPT peut détecter une attraction romantique et même prédire si deux personnes échangeront leurs coordonnées.

Pour arriver à une telle conclusion, les chercheurs ont organisé une douzaine de rendez-vous de quatre minutes entre 187 étudiants. Dix-huit juges humains et l’agent conversationnel d’OpenAI ont visionné ensuite les vidéos et les retranscrits des échanges entre jeunes.

Les résultats ont montré que les programmes d’intelligences artificielles avaient dés conclusions similaires aux humains pour décider si une personne était prête à proposer une seconde rencontre.

Should You Consult ChatGPT After a Date ?

Researchers from several American universities had humans and artificial intelligence analyze the conversations of 964 speed dating dates, then compared the reports with the participants’ feelings.

The study published in June 2024 reveals that ChatGPT can detect romantic attraction and even predict whether two people will exchange contact information.

To reach this conclusion, the researchers organized a dozen four-minute dates between 187 students. Eighteen human judges and OpenAI’s conversational agent then viewed the videos and transcripts of the exchanges between young people.

The results showed that the artificial intelligence programs had similar conclusions to humans when deciding whether a person was ready to propose a second date.

Humans were better at “interpreting” student reactions or gestures, but ChatGPT was more concrete in deciding whether the two volunteers would exchange contact information at the end of the meeting.🤔
