°°°°°°°°°°°°°

WHAT IS FOCUS STACKING ? ( WITH BLACK ANT ) ?

Focus stacking combines multiple images focused on a different spot to make a resulting image with a greater depth of field than any of the individual source images.

It’s a technique designed to overcome the limits of depth of field, in other words, when the camera’s setup can’t handle its depth of field capabilities.

°°°°°°°°°°°°°

The Nikkor Z 400mm f/2.8 TC VR S is one of the centerpieces of the Z mount. Its launch date coincides with that of the Nikon Z9. It aims to showcase the expertise of the yellow and black brand – as evidenced by the thin gold trim on the front of the barrel and its membership in the S series.

A magical autumn shot by an accident. Adding a little light and flurries to make this guy a magician, or something like John Travolta in Phenomenon, and I guess I did a horrible job on this part.

°°°°°°°°°°°°°

Once upon a time, there was a big cat called Monsieur Chachou who lived in a small flat in Brussels with his mistress, Sophie. Monsieur Chachou was no ordinary cat; he had a silky coat and eyes as round as marbles. But what really set him apart was his obsession with television 🤔

One day, while engrossed in a series about famous cats on the internet, Mr Chachou had a revelation: he wanted to be a star too! So he decided to create his own YouTube channel. With the help of Sophie (who couldn't resist the idea), they filmed videos of his hilarious exploits: clumsy jumps, frantic chases after toys and even his attempts to catch rays of sunlight.

The Monsieur Chachou TV channel soon went viral. People loved watching this big, clumsy, charismatic cat. He even had fans who sent him gifts: fish-shaped toys and tasty treats.

Eventually, Mr Chachou became a true feline celebrity. But despite his new-found fame, he never forgot his roots. Every evening, after a busy day of making videos and watching TV, he would snuggle up on the sofa with Sophie to watch a good old film together.

And that's how Monsieur Chachou became not just a cat addicted to television, but a star adored by all !

Sometimes the most unexpected passions 😉

It is amazing what you can get out of a film that expired more than 30 years ago. I overexposed it for approximately one stop and left it for one minute longer than necessary in the color developer bath. The digitized negative was "developed" in FilmLab 2.0 software and post-processed with Pixelmator Pro and Aurora HDR 2019.

This isn't Andrew McCarthy‘s first photo of the International Space Station (ISS) transiting the sun, but it might be his most memorable. In late June, the talented astrophotographer traveled to the Arizona desert to photograph the transit. What he didn't expect was to also capture a large solar flare shooting from the sun's surface. Calling it a “one-in-a-million shot,” the image is truly a mixture of skill and chance. !

The faded green copper domes of the Church of the Great Martyr, St. George the Victorious, rise above the skyline, serving as an impressive landmark to all travelers on the 401. Set in the heart of Old Oshawa, on Albert Street, the church has long been the spiritual home for Ukrainian Catholics living in an area stretching between Scarborough and Kingston. The parish itself was established circa 1912.
