Vang met je kinderen eens een echte Pokémon, je zal zien dat deze belevenis nog het meest "legendary" zal worden.
"Pelican Mist" by Patti Deters. A lone white pelican flies off with morning mist still on the lake water, with a pretty pink sunrise in the background. Photographed on Boy River near Longville, Minnesota. Enjoy more of my (scenic, birds, animals, wildlife, more) images at patti-deters.pixels.com.
Pixel peeping assessment:
At f/2, decent, but definitely not S-line sharpness.
Performs like some of my F-mounts, so... an F-mount in Z clothing?
A fuZZy Z perhaps, or a Z with more character instead of being S-line clinical.
Will take it for a spin tomorrow. Definitely light and compact; turns my Z7 II into a street shooter.

Day 2 of chasing the plains of Wyoming. With a good chance of seeing what we came for. We had plans in place to be in position early to catch that's days first round of severe storms in Central Wyoming.
Moving west via Hwy 26 through Torrington, Lingle, Fort Laramie, Guernsey, then north on I-25 to Glendo where we would stop to watch the scudnado form and not produce.
Packed the gear up after this event and moved south to be ahead of part 2 of that afternoon and evenings cells that were to develop shortly after this first event.
After the jaunt south to Pine Bluff Wyoming we headed to Bushnell Nebraska. About 15 miles from Pine Bluff Wyoming to watch this next storm build and eventually move west into Nebraska. We didn't want to be under the base of this storm due to the hail core. So we backed off and awaited the storm to develop right at sunset!

An important thing to remember is that even though pixel sizes keep getting smaller and smaller, the technology is advancing, so the smaller pixels are more efficient at collecting light. For instance, the Sony A7rII is back-illuminated which allows more photons to hit the sensor. Semiconductor technology is always advancing, so the brilliant engineers are always improving the signal/noise ratio. Far higher pixel counts, as well as better dynamic ranger, are thus not only possible, but the future!
Yes I have a Ph.D. in physics! I worked on phototranistors and photodiodes as well as an artificial retina for the blind. :)

Beautiful magnificent clouds!
View your artistic mission into photography as an epic odyssey of heroic poetry! Take it from Homer in Homer's Odyssey: "Tell me, O muse, of that ingenious hero who travelled far and wide after he had sacked the famous town of Troy. Many cities did he visit, and many were the nations with whose manners and customs he was acquainted; moreover he suffered much by sea while trying to save his own life and bring his men safely home; but do what he might he could not save his men, for they perished through their own sheer folly in eating the cattle of the Sun-god Hyperion; so the god prevented them from ever reaching home. Tell me, too, about all these things, O daughter of Jove, from whatsoever source you may know them. " --Samuel Butler Translation of Homer's Odyssey

The new famly member.
He moves a lot, so this is a heavily photoshoped frame. Although I took many shots of Pixel this was the only one that shows his markings well.
Most of this stuff follows the MSX 1 restrictions for background tiles (2 colors per 8 pixel tile-row). Makes each character a bit of a fun puzzle to work out, but I'm guessing animation is even harder to do as the restrictions more or less chooses the poses for you.
You can probably see how the figures are a bit edge aligned - it's because with only 2 colors per 8px segment, not doing a straight edge wastes a color. By aligning the Goomba's face to the tile edge, I'm able to do the black pupils using the extra color.
I made my own MSX palette for this with a tweaked set of 16 (15) colors. Afaik, an official palette does not exist due to how the hardware generates colors.
