A Clear Wing Hummingbird Moth enjoying the nectar from a Butterfly Bush. They are only about an inch long and are difficult to spot.
We have been getting rain recently, which is a good thing because of all the wildfires. It's helped dampen some but others are just too big. I'm happy to have the rain....
This is our Japanese maple tree in the back yard, shot with Pentacon AV 80mm f2.8.

ST RUPO approaches Blue Rock Road passing the site of Libby's Pit, a former sand and gravel pit served by the Maine Central. A scrap metal recovery operation at the pit that was active on the site into the mid-1980s resulted in the EPA declaring it a Superfund site in 2012.

This is not the best milkyway picture ever taken but it was nice to stop for few minutes and enjoy little moment of silence. Nights are getting close, it was -3 when I left, this is why my hands were so cold...
