A pipeline that runs across the sand from near the Baglan Bay Power Station to the River Neath. Pictured at low tide. It is raised on rows of concrete columns, like a kind of industrial centipede.
This is the Broken Hill Pipeline running though the 'Four Mile' Hills. It has obviously been leaking for a while as you can see by the green slime that covers it.

Howard Markson, his camerman and an officer of The Land Conservancy (TLC), hiked up to the Sooke Aqueduct (Sooke Water Flow Line) and filed a comprehensive video report on Channel-12, VI-News, December 17, 2007. I hiked up from the Station and walked the pipeline northward to where it crosses Mary vine Creek. Being familiar with the lower reaches of the Mary Vine Crk. Trail (where it meets the Galloping Goose Trail) I decided to return down this route. It was sure a rough trail. The storm of 2006 obliterated much of it but many trail-markers had been left by those who went before. I used all the trail-tape I had with me. Like I said, up near the top -- it's rough!
I took this with an old 2 megapixel camera (Fuji Film) I think it is an unusual picture of the paparazzi that take pictures of surfers on the Noth Shore of Oahu. This is in front of Pipeline.

Lightning Bolt is a pure source of inspiration, a surf icon in Hawaii.
Lightning Bolt became the trademark for progressive surfing, through skill in the water, distinction in design and bolt signature.
Our history goes back to the beginning of the 70’s, when the short board revolution was taking place and the style of surf was being redefined.
There were no limits for the Hawaiian surfers and our boards ruled the huge tubes of Pipeline.
A cool and relaxed attitude, a soul surfer approach and a free rider state of mind, Lightning Bolt is inspired by the true spirit of surf and its rider lifestyle
This picture was taken circa 1985-1986 on my Minolta XG-1 SLR. The print was done in Photoshop (the class in high school, not the program). After I moved out of my parent's house, this print, along with a whole slew of other HS memorabilia was thrown into a box, and transported into a shed in the middle of Yucca Valley where my grandparents live.
It stayed there for 20 years until one day last fall my father told me I had a box of stuff to go through. The shed the box was stored in had the roof blown partly off, so I had no idea what to expect when I opened it. Thankfully, all of it's contents was untouched by the elements. Incidentally, this is the only print I made in high school that has survived my careless youth, which is good, because it turns out to have always been a favorite too. All the negatives of everything I shot back then have all disappeared - sadly.
When I found this print, it took me back to this wonderful skate park, called the Pipeline, famous for the full concrete pipe you see in the background.
The rider's name is Eddy Fiola, and the day I took this shot he was practicing for an upcoming competition. He is about 8-9 above the lip of the pool, and the lowest point of the pool was about 15 feet, if memory serves correctly.

Unique wooden pipeline connecting the dam with hydro power plant in Seč, CZ. Total length of the pipeline is 845m. This pipeline is in service for more than 70 years, but this year will probably be removed.
CP 8556 and companion ge have this mobile pipeline on the move eastbound as they approach Ski Slide Road bridge over Cooney Siding. The angle and late evening sunlight on the endless string of crude oil tank cars gives the illusion that it is one continuous tube.....August 20th, 2013.
