The Rockies -East pipeline route crosses nine counties in Indiana, dropping just south of Indianapolis. The pipeline is espected to be partially in service into western Indiana's Putnam County by April, with the entire section through Indiana completed by next July. The line will bring natural gas to the midwest from Colorado.
Spectra Energy has announced plans for a gas transmission pipeline through Virginia. The map Spectra has released is not very detailed. In the top center of the photo is a heat sink to keep the heat from disipating into the permafrost and unpermafrosting it. Well you get the idea. This is all explained in a nearby sign. I don't understand that part because if you look in the background the pipline goes underground. Maybe it's just for informational purposes and not really needed in this location.
This photo was taken around 10 minutes into the pipeline track walk where the path undergoes a series of tight turns just prior to the first of the major creeks that can be encountered alone the track.
This is one of the few areas where dense rainforest vegetation can be found right up to the path as it angles away.

Divers from Advanced Sub-Sea Systems completing a repair and final weighting and jetting of the seawater pipelines in front of the station. One side of the silt curtain can be seen here keeping silt from the jetting process from extending across the oyster lease.
