This photo was taken in the early 1970's? of the Queens Own Highlanders Pipe Band. If there is any ex or present members of the Highlanders/Regiment of Scotland who regonise anyone in the photo please let me know, so as I can put a name to the face. There are two pipers in the photo from the Western Isles that I'm aware of. One is Piper. John Mackinnon from Bayble and the other Piper that I know is Pipe Major Ian Murdo Morrison from Back. Both named are from the Isle of Lewis. This is a Family photo and it would be great if I could get more info on this photo, as I'm prepared to send copies of this photo to Families of the above.

This huge pipe organ used to provide music for dances in France. There was a demonstration when we visited the museum. I loved it!

Not exactly a roman mosaic or an Egyptian tomb, but we dug up a small clay pipe whilst digging a potato patch.
This massive organ (circa. 1980) controls over 4,000 pipes, including those of the cathedral's original organ (circa. 1890s) which is also still played.
This is a homemade (street-made) pipe that I found right there on the bank of Lake Michigan in Chicago.
