At one time, this was a single piece of pipe. You can see where its broken, most likely due to the ground settling during heavy rains.
And so the crazed piper began to pipe his tune....
Bewitched by the music, soon all the little bears began to follow as the stripy tailed deranged maniac hopped them ever closer to the green grocer's store!
Apparently, a few days earlier a certain someone had sent him to fetch some beans - she didn't pay (supposedly they were hers to begin with?!)!

This is the pipe organ i learn on. My first lesson was in september, so i'm still a greenhorn...

Unfired, terra cotta clay pipe at the Gladding McBean clay factory in Lincoln, CA. Two 550 EX's, one bare, one with a black straw grid, triggered by a 580 EX. Canon 20D 10-22mm lens @ 15mm, and a Mini Maglite for painting. ISO 200 30 Seconds @ f/11.
I positioned one 550EX with a grid, on a stand about 4ft high, to the left of the pipes, aimed directly between the first and second row, parallel to the film plane. The Second 550EX was placed on the right side, on a stand, 4 ft high, with a bare head, aimed down the third row, parallel to the film plane. These created the back light on the pipes. I released the Shutter, firing both strobes, and then I began to paint with my Mini Mag Light. The Ceiling was painted some during the exposure, but I mostly added the light to the middle of the pipes by brushing it back and forth just above the middle of them. The strips of light across the floor and the tips of the pipes are from reflected light coming in through interior windows that leads into another room.
