Pine Forest in Wagamon. This is one of the main tourist attractions in Wagamon. Nice place with a river close by. One will need to park the vehicle near the road side and walk towards the pine forest. A beautiful place, expect that you will need to descend and climb little to reach there.

Northern Nevada's 25,000 acre Pine Forest Range Wilderness is an island in the sky rising almost 6,000 feet above the desert floor to peaks that top out at just below 10,000 feet.
The range has been glaciated, and has several cirque lakes which are very uncommon in the Great Basin. The 4-WD access route travels through huge patches of aspen interspersed with meadows/sage (aspen) -- Whitebark and Limber Pine cover the peaks giving the area its name.

A spot at Sherwood Pines that I thought had potential for a while, think it can be done better than this but there was decent cloud so snapped it on the little Fuji as something to possibly revisit.
The youngsters were very busy gathering and stashing food when I was there. You can barely see the red coming through on their heads
The view this morning out the kitchen window of the family cabin. The woodpile stands by the ready, but heat and the smoke of summer fires means we don't need to use any of this fuel. The morning sun is filtered through a layer of smoke from the Dixie Fire, muting the colors and the intensity of the morning sun.

A far shot of the pine forests and moose country. This is one stretch of road where the sea is a bit away from the main highway. The variety of scenery variants we encountered on the Baccalieu Trail was amazing. Plenty of nature, stunning scenery, traffic-free road that was a pleasure to drive on, small homely fishing communities, a lot of history, the works. You really should do this drive if you do visit Newfoundland and Labrador. It starts off from the town of St. John's. (Coastal drive on the Baccalieu Trail, Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada, June 2015)
