In the pines, in the pines, where the sun never shines

And you shiver when the cold wind blows.

This part of the forest consists of ranks of relatively young trees, contrasting with more open area heather with scattered pines found elsewhere.

The Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest is home to the oldest trees in the world, Bristlecone Pines. Some of these living trees exceed 4000 years of age and exhibit spectacular growth forms of twisted and beautifully colored wood.

Brosnan Forest is especially significant because 6,000 acres of its longleaf pine habitat shelter 79 family groups of endangered red-cockaded woodpeckers, making it the world’s largest population of these birds on private property under single ownership. It also includes about 800 acres of fields planted in rye, wheat, oats, and clover as food for wildlife, including non-game and game species, and 120 acres of lakes and ponds stocked with bass, bream, and catfish.

I'm quoting a writings of Sudip vai [http://www.flickr.com/photos/pineforest/]

Well, if you are talking about beauty then am pretty sure that they always come with at least a Bug attached to them. That's the saddest part . When you are in school you will find your Beauty going to Music School accompanied by her mother and will find her father driving her to Dance school. Grew up a bit you will find your intended beauty sharing Bike seat with the most ugly looking street smart hooligan. That's the beauty of Beauties , they always come with a Bug attached. Example is just in front of you. You may not trust my word but how can you ignore such a bright example !

Pine Forest Range

Northern Nevada's 25,000 acre Pine Forest Range Wilderness. The area is an island in the sky rising almost 6,000 feet above the desert floor to peaks that top out at just below 10,000 feet. The range has been glaciated, and has several cirque lakes which are very uncommon in the Great Basin -- The largest, Blue Lake, is shown in the image "reflection".

The 4-WD access route travels through huge patches of aspen interspersed with meadows/sage (aspen) -- Whitebark and Limber Pine cover the peaks giving the area its name. In mid-July, the wildflower bloom in the west had moved to the highest elevations. This part of Nevada is as dark as anywhere in the continental U.S. so the Milky Way is very visible!!
