This is my first year celebrating the special festive out of Singapore. To keep the spirit of the festival alive, a little bit, I went to Chinatown to get some Chinese snacks. The mandarin oranges were top in my shopping list. With slight sentiments, I also bought a little red golden ox and it's now hanging by the kitchen window. I really miss the good old days where mum took care of all the goodies with bak gua, shrimp rolls, cookies, F&N cherry and orange flavoured drinks, kuih bangkit, love letters and many more. I miss home.
And now for a break, this is the wonderful, and tastelicious, cake we ate on our first day in Pescosolido. It was baked by Carlo (the day before), and delicious it was. Only flaw, it was soon over! :-)
