The lighting wasn't the greatest earlier today, but it was sufficient :)
This is made up of double-pleat square spread twists with a large gap between them. The gaps are shortened with flattened pleats and the bordering intersections of the flattened pleats are inverted to the back. minature decoupage picture frame of imagwes selected from old masters from a sothebies sale catalogue
This number isn't on my flickr bingo card, but I've enjoyed looking at all the submissions, and I had no other ideas for today. I'd been trying to think of how to participate in this one anyway. It seemed too unstructured to take a picture and create a title, so I wondered if I could create a cover for a book I've actually read.
I remembered that I'd picked up this empty frame months ago on the street, figuring it would be a good prop. Then I remembered this book and decided the two ideas would work well together for this challenge.

Julie and I circa 1988, approximately ages 12 and 7. I am visiting home this weekend while she's getting married. Via the miracle of remarriage and half-siblings, I grew up with an aunt just five years older than me (closer in age than my sister and I are) who was every part the big sister idol in all things. We're pretty different now, but not so different from then either.
I mean, I'm still real short.
