The Roll of Honour fell from its mounting, and the frame was broken. There's a metaphor in there somewhere, I fancy ...
We frame everything . . including rocks. Framing this piece is a great way to display a sentimental keepsake. The dark brown frame, with the layered slate matboard beautifully surrounds this 3D object. Clear acrylic clasps holds the rock in place and keeps it in it's original condition.

alright, well my roommates and i had a photo shoot today, woo hoo! and i couldn't pick just one... so there's three! :D

also! i'm going to dayton, OH for a big drumline competition, so i won't be able to upload any pictures until sunday night/monday :(. but i will be taking them! so i'll see you guys again on monday! :D

In the end I decided to go for something a little smaller than in the previous image. Hanging a keyboard and mouse on the wall isn't entirely practical anyway.
I've still not come up with a "proper" use for this, and I'll probably replace the 802.11b wireless card (left) with something faster and with an aerial that can be moved so it doesn't stick out.
Currently streaming movies over the Internet via Shoutcast... the 1024x480 widescreen display is quite good for that, and of course, it has built in speakers.
Software wise, it's running a modified Slax Linux Live CD installed on the internal Microdrive. Possibly an odd choice, but I needed something small with a desktop environment, and Slax recognised all the obscure Vaio hardware out of the box.

Asian art. Gold ornate frame was used to compliment the detailed intricate artwork. The different sized pieces were made the same size so that they can hang side-by-side as a group display.
