This lovely silver frame hangs in my living room.

Today was so strange. Two birds managed to get stuck in my house and it was quite an adventure getting them out. The last 5 hours were spent working on homework. I'm totally wiped out. Lots of stress, lots of vocabulary, lots of tension and not so much creativity. I told you I'd run out of steam eventually, today's the day.

My boss gave me these old negative presses for my birthday to use as picture frames. The backs are so cool. I think I can only use two and display the back between them.

The walnuts are a long story.

These were for Art's retirement celebration

Glass tiles and beads.

I posted the ungrouted pic to show the gold beads on the frame. They do show on the grouted version, but not so well in this shot.

Commemorating the November 1969 visit of Republic of the Congo (Léopoldville) president Joseph-Désiré Mobutu to Brussels, and the conferring of the Belgian Grand Cordon de l’ordre de Leopold upon the President. Mobutu is shown after a still from the 20 November ceremony in the royal palace, between King Baudouin I and Queen Fabiola of Belgium. Mobutu wears the sash and star of Belgium ’s highest decoration on, and the color scheme’s dark purple reflects the color of this order’s sash and rosette. The decoration mimics European baroque design wallpaper, picture frame, and wall mounted candelabra. The cloth has no selvage mark, and is a single sided “fancy” roller print. This piece runs to six full yards, along with remnants of red thread that would have bound the folded bolt of fabric and marked yards or meters. I’ve only seen this in pagnes from Congo/Zaire.

i found this old picture frame last week in the basement of my building and thought it was for sure a worthy prop for a 365 photo --at this stage of the game almost anything is a prop ---ideas are on the reserve and it seems like each day gets harder but keeps your mind in constant photo mode which is great --so on day 312 i grabbed this old picture frame and headed into the haunted basement --i knew there was this little section that had this old cement wall that would be great for a new background ---so i set up a couple flashes did some light testing and then started to shoot ----this is my ninety first self portrait of the year and each one of the is always a process --just the whole concept from what you start with and where the photo shoot evolves to --learning to make your mind see in new ways is how you can grow as a photographer -and doing what makes you happy ----shooting what seems trapped in your head is always the ambition for me on how to go about it --its easier to explain through a photo --and as long as theres some reaction to the photo for me to be aware of what it represents --then that self fulfillment is locked on this image forever ---
