I did the painful drive to Albuquerque yesterday. Loading up the truck

with gear for two small PV installs. I got racks, three panels, some

cabling, lightening arrestors, and inverters. These are for my

neighbors that were interested in getting started with solar. We are

still waiting on some gear. One of these systems will be going up

later this month and the other in the fall.

Another VW Transporter pickup, this one a double-cab like the '69 model I just showed.

But there's one thing that makes this pickup different. See, this particular VW was not actually imported here officially. What do I mean? Well, take a look at the next picture on this photostream and you'll see . . .

This pickup truck wtih its grille missing looks like it hasn't moved in a while. (232)

A gorgeous truck. I wasn't able to find out the year, since I arrived just as the car show was breaking up. My son saw this, and though he can't read (much), and there's no Chevy symbol (only the Chevrolet writing on the side) he knew right away it was a Chevy. He's a total car/truck fanatic. We drive down the highway, and he's constantly pointing out "Hey, that's a Mitsubishi! Hey that's a Monte Carlo! Hey that's a Mustang!" etc. He could identify a car's make and model just by glancing at it... it constantly amazes me. Not to mention that he's only 6.
