The #MacroMondays #PickTwo challenge

Two delicate insects.

Ovipositing large red damselflies on a new garden pond. These are among the most common of the damselflies which differ from dragonflies by being smaller and more delicate and by holding their wings along their body when at rest rather than perpendicular to it.

.....a little black ant.

Sédum Acré or Stonecrop: Are little, about 6 inches tall, plants that I found at the junction of two forest lined roads. The ground is very thin and there are only a few types of little plants that grow there. I noticed this one only about two weeks ago and at that time they didn't have flowers, only buds. I was curious to see the flowers and went back this afternoon to take a look.

Okay - this I figured can be any one of:

Probably pushing the boundaries here for this weeks Macro Monday's theme of Take Two. Let's see how it goes tho :)

A metallic 'looking' insect 'beetle' 😄

Quite a rare find for the UK as these are generally found in North America. They feast on Dogbane leaf and I have none of that in the garden! I found this scuttling around on the Delphinium!

#MacroMondays #PickTwo a possibility. This is one of two baskets that were curved of the eight or so possibilities for the theme for today, 6/14. I’ll probably put them all up and then dither

This is my contribution to this weeks MM theme of 'pick two'.. a Striped Insect or a delicate insect...HMM

This is probably the most 'damaged' of the eight or so possibilities for the theme for today, 6/14. (It’s the #broken #handle of one of the two baskets.) I’ll probably put them all up and then dither

Macro Mondays Pick Two

This single hydrangea flower from my garden is sitting on a Limoges porcelain dish I bought when I was first married and excited about setting up a home. As you can probably tell, I've never been very practical. It hasn't seen the light of day for many years, but I always knew it would come in handy for something. :))

For this week's Macro Mondays group theme, Pick Two. The flower is about ¾" across at its widest point. The two words I chose from the list are in the title.

This image shows two seed heads from an Aquilegia (columbine) plant - the petals of this variety twist as the flower dries.

For Macro Mondays theme 'Pick Two' (twisted plant).

The image is an homage to Karl Blossfeldt (1865-1932). His lifelong interest was plants, and as an enthusiastic amateur photographer, he took his pictures using a home-made wooden camera; he then used the images as a teaching aid in the drawing classes he gave at the Berlin College of Art. Despite his crude equipment (by today's standards), he produced iconic botanical images showing exquisite details of plant architecture.

The theme for today's Macro Mondays is Pick Two. I picked Pink and Flower.

Many thanks for visiting. I truly appreciate your comments and/or faves.

Striped and Stone.

Well, given not many of us have striped stones laying around - like I do on a bookshelf, I thought it really just had to be done. So I picked two of them. Then I thought, why not decorate the arrangement with two flowers to brighten them up? So I picked two. How daft can you get!?

BTW - I dispute the observation that the arrangement resembles a floral beef burger.

Many thanks for all views, fav's - and particularly comments - all are greatly appreciated!

Happy Macro Mondays to you all!

UN INSETTO FRASTAGLIATO. JAGGED INSECT
