Macro Mondays and for "Pick Two" I decided to go with "Damaged" and "Glass" from the lists of words.
This did mean buying a bottle of drink and then damaging it once it was empty. I took precautions by wearing a glove and wrapping the bottle in a bag before giving it a few whacks on to a concrete pathway. As I hoped, the neck of the bottle remained intact
The blue colour is from setting the white balance to Incandescent for the flash exposure.

#56 - 100 x challenge - Lensbaby
Macro Monday - Pick two - I chose pottery and curves.
This is a tiny coffee cup and saucer from a set I bought from a charity shop some time ago. In the saucer are some little petals that came about by accident. One night I took some Gaviscon (a pink liquid to ease heartburn) and must have spilt a drop on the worktop. When I came down the next morning there was a pretty pink dried Gaviscon petal. I instantly thought how nice that might look in a photo so made some more.
I used my Lensbaby Sweet 35 and macro converter. I find it incredibly hard to get perfect focus with this lens but like the soft focus and blur from the Sweet so will embrace the blur...a term I love and have borrowed from Flickr friend Andrew www.flickr.com/photos/ajhaysom/ HMM
Macro Mondays 'pick two' theme.
My two are 'delicate' (or 'curved') and 'pottery'.
My second submission as my first was rejected - the first time in nearly five years in the group that that has happened. 😢 😊
The figurine measures just on 2" and the widest point
The Macro Mondays group theme for 6/15. This is a miniature vase for macro monday "Pick Two" theme - Choosen words curved Pottery.

A "Happy Macro Monday" and stay healthy!
For the Macro Monday challenge "Pick Two" (January 21st 2019)
A fascinating challenge this week! Loved it! To pick a subject and then an adjective to describe it - and make a 3" macro to match the two that you have chosen
List A: Iridescent, Fuzzy, Twisted, Damaged, Speckled
List B: Glass, Toy, Candy, Plant, Abstract
I've been shooting two glass vases that have twists in the glass, looking for interesting effects. So I was drawn to "Twisted Glass" as my combination. This shot is not from the vases, but a small liqueur glass with a twisted stem and holder for the 'cup'. The portion I shot is shown in the first comment field, set against the 2x3" credit card I use as my size guide for MM
Happy Macro Monday! ;o)

"The most terrible poverty is loneliness, and the feeling of being unloved."
Mother Teresa
The theme for this picture is "pottery" and "curved". Both the markings and the shapes are curved here. This piece is from a small collection of German pottery from the 1950's which have a similar kind of colour and very distinctive graphic markings.
A striped brush.
More precisely, it's a sonic toothbrush replaceable head, whose stripes race side-to-side at roughly 250 hertz, or 15,000 oscillations per minute, to do its plaque-busting task. (For comparison, the electricity from your outlet alternates at 50 or 60 Hz, depending on your country.)
The stripes are not all show and no go. The dye in the dark blue pair of bristles fade with use, giving a visual indication the brush head needs replacing.
For the Macro Mondays theme 'Pick Two'. I chose two iridescent glass marbles and placed them in an old crystal glass on top of some sheets of coloured paper. Nauseating I admit but anyhow HMM!
PS Each marble is less than 1cm diam the glass base is 4cm
For Macro Mondays. This week’s theme: “Pick Two".
My Choice is "Speckled + Glass": frost crystals on the Cold Cellar Window.
Extreme cold warning for Southern Ontario Canada on Sunday as it was -25C and a wind chill values of -40 C.

♥ Thank you very much for your visits, faves, and kind comments ♥
For todays Macro Monday theme of pick two, I chose Pink and Flower. This is a macro of the center of a coneflower. It's about 3/4" wide in this pic. I loved that there's a few teeny white fuzzy things in there too. A nice surprise when I opened the pic in Lightroom. HMM :-)
Coke: it's the real thing. Nothing else compares. It is unquestionably King. Pepsi is cool, but only for when there's no Coca-Cola.
This week's Macro Mondays theme is to pick two, one from each list of:
A Colour: Red, blue, Yellow or pink
and
An item from: a flower, bottle cap, paper or pen.
Unless you've been in total lock down for the last 128 years or so you will recognise the red bottle cap I picked.
Thanks Basse for the box of a few thousand bottle tops you sent! Whatever it is it always tastes better out of a chilled glass bottle! Plastic? It's all so passe.
Macro Mondays theme Pick Two - Red & Paper
Made of paper, this is the tummy section of a little origami rat/mouse made by a lovely Chinese lady we once knew. She made it to cheer one of our kids up for their birthdays and to mark the Chinese Year of the Rat a number of years ago when they were very unwell. The red section measures just under 4cm across at it's widest point.
Happy Macro Mondays!
Yellow and bottle cap. Time for a clean.
Many thanks for all views, fav's - and particularly comments - all are greatly appreciated!
Happy Macro Mondays to you all!

This busy Bumble Bee (aren't they all) is gathering pollen from a "pink flower" (wild rose) in our back garden.
You can see the pollen sack on this Bumble Bee's back leg. Bumbles on average will return home carrying an extra 25% of its body weight in pollen.
HMM everyone
Macro Monday Theme "Pick Two". My picks are "Red" and "Paper". Had some fun making a tiny paper pinwheel. Part of it came undone, but I thought it added to the composition.
