I decided to try and create a scene out of just one piece of paper. The scene was looking a little flat until I decided to scrunch up the paper to create the rough ‘sea’. Please excuse the bad origami!
Just a little lightening and small saturation tweaks for processing.
First post with my new Samyang 75mm (with extension tubes).

BEES
Bees are insects with wings closely related to wasps and ants, known for their role in pollination and, in the case of the best-known bee species, the western honey bee, for producing honey. Bees are a monophyletic lineage within the superfamily Apoidea. They are presently considered a clade, called Anthophila. There are over 16,000 known species of bees in seven recognized biological families.[1][2] Some species – including honey bees, bumblebees, and stingless bees – live socially in colonies while most species (>90%) – including mason bees, carpenter bees, leafcutter bees, and sweat bees – are solitary. - Wikepedia

For 'Macro Mondays' theme of 'Pick Two'.
'Yellow - Paper' and/or 'Blue - Flower'.
Sometimes I can leave the weekly challenge until the last minute, take a shot, and be reasonably pleased.
Not this week!
Started with an idea that morphed into something rather different, and then ran into all sorts of issues - lighting, that isn't unusual, then paper quality and my restricted manual dexterity.
The very small glass bottle rests on a sheet of tissue paper that extends into and makes the background. The paper came as part of the wrapping around a 'Father's Day' present and just had to find a use! But the creases and wrinkles ................... !
The 'Welsh Ring' flowers were made from thin strips of paper cut from the page of a catalogue - great colour and with a sheen. But because it was coated paper it didn't wrap around a paintbrush handle smoothly, and the 'flowers' aren't too even. As for getting, let alone arranging, five flowers in such a small jar I must be completely mad for trying.
After five attempts at setting up this little picture, I've now decided to do something more sensible like drinking a mug of tea.

Le soleil se couche et cette fleur jaune du nom de Pachystachys ou communément Panache de l'Officier devrait monter d'autres fleurs blanches entre ses bractées tôt demain matin. #Macro #MacroMondays #PickTwo #YellowFlower
.....a little black ant.
Sédum Acré or Stonecrop: Are little, about 6 inches tall, plants that I found at the junction of two forest lined roads. The ground is very thin and there are only a few types of little plants that grow there. I noticed this one only about two weeks ago and at that time they didn't have flowers, only buds. I was curious to see the flowers and went back this afternoon to take a look.

Macro Mondays: This week's theme is "Pick Two"
From the lists I selected "Blue" and "Paper"
This small, coiled strip of blue construction paper is 1-3/4" high.
With a nod to my favorite shade of blue 💙~~ "Yves Klein" blue.
The object in the photo is a detail of a decoration ribbon, which you can use for crafting (e.g. for making cards or scrap books). this ribbon has a nice iridescent pattern. I thought I could use this to make a nice abstract picture.
Probably pushing the boundaries here for this weeks Macro Monday's theme of Take Two. Let's see how it goes tho :)
A metallic 'looking' insect 'beetle' 😄
Quite a rare find for the UK as these are generally found in North America. They feast on Dogbane leaf and I have none of that in the garden! I found this scuttling around on the Delphinium!
Looking close on Friday! - theme of May 3, 2019 - hobby
Happy Friday everyone!
I will be browsing late in the evening as I am still "on the road"
This is a very close up of my sparkling turquoise green juggling club (and a hint of a red one in the background)
This club has a so called "European decoration": the iridescent coating covers only parts of the club - the middle of the corpus (here on the left side) remains white.
