This is a tiny antique bowl which was my grandmother's ... less than 2" diameter. Tee tiny bowl for a curved pottery Pick Two MACRO MONDAYS theme.

List A Curved

List B Pottery

A small piece of crushed aluminum sheet with strong reflecting lights

Metallic wire brush used to descale and degrease an 1875 steam locomotive 🚂

I chose Metallic Stone for the Pick Two MM challenge.

Tried lighting the stone at an angle, to make all the craters and lines show up more dramatically. It's like another world in there. :-) Hope you like. HMM!

This week's theme: Pick Two

From list A, I chose "curved"

From list B, I chose "basket"

This small basket is actually oval so this is a Macro shot of one end of it, from above.

Pink zinnia using in-camera Multiple Exposure. The soft pink zinnia measured slightly less than 2" thus the image had room for a tiny side border of green.

Damaged Toy - HMM

First of two captures taken for these week's Macro Monday theme combining two themes from separate lists.

This is the closer in capture with the two candy cane treats cropped some for the 1:1 true macro ratio.

13 second capture needed for this one at ISO 100 and f/16. Captured with window lighting with the candies on a mirror, then holding a black pillow over top to block out the ceiling color and making the background black in the mirror.

Anyone feeling minty now :)

Jagged/Stone. I think it's black mica (biotite).

For the Macro Monday challenge "Pick Two" (June 29th 2020)

The challenge is to pick one colour and one object from these ...

The colours: Red, Blue, Yellow, Pink

The items: Flower, Bottle Cap, Paper, Pen

It was a simple choice this week, as our back rockery is full of red carnations at the moment! I just needed to dodge the raindrops and fight the bees for one to bring indoors to shoot. The size guide for this is in the first comment field - it's about 1.5" square.

HMM!! ;o)

Subject: Pick Two

I chose the words 'fuzzy and 'toy' from the two lists provided for this weeks challenge. HMM, everyone.

This Chinese snuff bottle made of "Peking Glass" measures 2 1/2" (65mm) tall. See photo in comments.

Peking glass (also known as Qianlong Glass or Tao Liao Ping) is a form of Chinese glassware that originated in 18th century Peking, China. Its original use was for the fabrication of glass snuff bottles, like this one. Peking glass is an overlay carved glass created by layering material around a core, similar to Cameo glass. To create the overlay, a glass blower makes the shape, then dips the shape into a basin of liquid glass several times. This process creates multiple layers of glass that are then carved away to produce a textured image. Peking glass is often made with different colored layers of glass, creating contrast when the outer layers are carved away.
