On Tuesday, March 24th, 2015, Utica Academy of Science held its second annual Science Fair Ceremony. Scholars are awarded in six different categories; Engineering, Life Science, Chemistry, Physics, Social Science, Environmental Science are the categories. Scholars who are in 6th grade awarded with medals for first, second and third place. First place winner got 3D puzzle. Scholars who are in 7th to 10th grade awarded with medals. First place got nook ( e-reader), second place got Magic Science Experiment packet and third place got 3D puzzle. There were 55 projects participated in school-wide science fair with 63 scholars. There were judges from Utica College, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, and MVCC. Scholars were very excited to able to present their projects to professors. 35 of 55 projects were the winners of the School-Wide Science Fair. In some categories there were more than one winners because they earned the same number of points from Judges.
25 projects are selected to participate into Utica College Science Fair which will be held on April 11th. Utica College Science Fair is next step and it is done through Central NewYork. This year it will be their 37th annual science fair. The purpose of Utica College Science Fair is to stimulate an active interest in science and engineering. To provide an educational experience. To give public recognition to talented students.

Class 11 Physics can be learnt from the video lessons on the Extramarks app. The interactive video lessons are delivered by expert teachers making it a reliable source of learning. The contents learned from the videos can be retained by the students for a longer period helping them perform better in the examinations. The video lessons can be accessed anywhere by the students for learning.

We were learning about the Cathode Ray Oscilloscope the other day in Physics lab. It was sort of fun. :)
That's Mrs Jega in the picture by the way. :D
The Optoelectronic Component and Materials Laboratories (or OCM Labs) is a collection of graduate students, post doctoral fellows, visiting scientists and research staff who are engaged in investigating an enormous variety of phenomena and devices related to electronic materials and optics. Some of the work involves the basic physics of new semiconductor and organic materials, some focuses on devices using these materials, and yet other work looks at the system impact of optical devices and structures. The unifying goal of our work is the realization of practical optoelectronic devices.

I spent most of this week playing with this small lego structure while trying to visualize how to create movement for an insect-like enemy AI. The challenge is making it all work inside the physics engine so that large groups can have forces applied to send them flying.

I learned so much physics today… woo hoo! Hopefully I’m not going to be screwed by the test tomorrow. Today I went to the YMCA with Daniel and did a chest workout. I benched 165 pounds 8-7-4 times. Gotta get the 8-8-8 yo.
This picture is the result of studying most of the day and going outside for like 10 minutes to see what possible picture I could take. I used my new photo processing techniques on it, so hopefully they worked. I also saw this freaky animal in my backyard… some kind of raccoon-like creature.
