Not quite the African savanna of "The Lion King," but we see multiple generations of trees: sapling, mid & full-sized, and a decomposing stump.
August the 19th. Day 231. San Carlos is a town in which armed violence displaced a lot of the population. Today, I woke up early and visited one of the many abandoned houses that were destroyed and just, left there, to be devoured by the wilderness
A la recherche de ma photo du 06 mai au beau milieu de ma campagne les champs de colza ont éveillé mon appétit !
photo a day challenge : 06 mai
The paint chips away, leaving behind a morse code of distress. (weekly theme: "black and white" | monochrome)
One of the many staggering views found along the 2 mile segment, from Ke'e Beach to Hanakapiai Beach, of the Kalalau trail through the gorgeous Na Pali coast of Kauai, HI. (weekly theme: "Kauai" | Hawaii, USA)

Day 27: October 2012 Photo a Day Challenge.
Theme: Empty.
Empty bottles waiting for my batch of Lemoncello (Limoncello) to be ready for bottling!
The Oroville Dam boath launch ramp no longer reaches the water. Where we stand would be under 200ft of water, when full. The fill line can be seen on the hills over a mile away, where the trees end at brown lakebed. Lake Oroville, CA is 225 feet (or 69%) below full capacity (weekly series: "Drought" | 4 years running).

People used to call this a lake. It's mid-winter, and the lake doesn't look much better. Where has all the rain gone? Lake Oroville, CA. (weekly theme: "Get Out and Explore" | recess/free time).

Day 2 of my 2014 "photo a day" plan. 2/365
If you live anywhere near the northeastern U.S., then you have been hearing for a week the forecast for a blizzard. Not only do I have 4 wheel drive, but I have what in my humble opinion, I consider to be among the best 4 wheel drive vehicles ever made, so I am ready.
Also, my boss just texted me that our office is closed for tomorrow due to the weather. HOOORAAAAY!
It could be posted on the "RED" day, but my inspiration just come out today.. :)
So, this is my FORK :D
Thanks to my hubby that help me out with the flash and stuff ♥
Or something else?
PADC 2009 photo n°26
---
Tested shooting the flash at 1/8th power facing myself with a full CTB through a cheese grater, like DavidJackson did it in his cooking with light blog post. Quite interesting result, I'll try it again soon.
PS: Peut-être d'autres photos de la série après la fin du PADC2009!
See the tiny lady stuck in foam? A combination of a dog walker on Pomo Bluffs and Glass Beach in Fort Bragg, CA (weekly series: "hybrid photo" | double exposure).
