August the 9th. Day 221. I wanted to do some more food photography photos; this time, I tried a different lighting setup:
STROBIST INFO
I placed a Yongnuo 560III at about 1.5m away, subject left. I bounced it off a 1x1m piece of FoamCore in order to diffuse the light a little bit. I also placed two 50x50cm pieces of Foamcore, camera back and camera right, to lift-up the shadows a little bit. This was only a 1-light settup and I used the Yongnuo 560-TX trigger to control the power and trigger the lights. It's been quite reliable and quite useful, though it has a tendecy to discharge quickly, since it doesn't have a sleep mode. Let's see how it fares for the next few months :)
I decided to do the Photo a Day Challenge this month, for real. I already tried to do this challenge, but I was too busy, but I'm on vacation this month, so I decided to do it, hope you like it!
Well, this photo is about lunch, and today my lunch was with my intire family, and my little cousin was there, so cute! And, of course, I'm with a crazy face, rsrs.

The morning after the night before. Yes that is last night's mascara. My skin seriously needs some TLC.
Spent all day in bed watching YouTube videos about Bali and snacking on a portion of chips I had delivered. Also had a lovely long phone call with my pal who is travelling in Australia. Although it made me a little jealous. Not looking forward to work tomorrow, even though there are only 2 days left till my Christmas holiday begins.

There’s a sort of peace that comes with photography. I suppose it’s the unexpectedness of it all that can lead one to truly become lost in it all.
The documentation of life as it is. Completely unposed, unplanned, alive and vivd is what heats the heart and consumes the mind. You never truly know what you have until your art is developed. It speaks to you in a way that words will never be able to, it tell stories. It tells the life of it’s subjects, it tells the life of humanity and it’s counterparts.
A story which never existed now has a voice. Now, it is alive.
