The above map shows Locog's plans for the first of eleven phases of occupation of Greenwich Park and the surrounding areas during 2012. These maps were discreetly displayed during a drop-in session on Greenwich Olympics Transport in October 2011 [1]. This set contains a series of photographs of these maps together with comments on them.
As can be seen from the photo, Phase 1 consists of establishing the Southern Compound on Circus Field on Blackheath. The extent of the compound is indicated by the pink region. The red line which surrounds it indicates a secure perimeter. The red regions in the compound represent temporary structures.
For more detail, see the original drawing: Drawings: Drawing POP-A-O-EQ-MZ-GRP-SP-00-9020 08/11/2011 20:18:59, on Greenwich Council Planning site under Application number 11/2604/SD.

[1] The phase drawings were displayed as a set of A4-sized sheets, which were placed on a shelf on one side of the room. Given the much greater prominence of the maps relating to road closures, parking restrictions, etc., the phase drawings could easily have been overlooked. Copies of the original A3 drawings were submitted to Greenwich Council as part of Locog's planning application in November 2011. Links to them are included in the comments.

The moon has been gorgeous recently. I no longer trip on my bags when making it from the light switch back to bed at night! Please stay like this forever?
Yesterday, when I put up the photo of the Red Squirrel, I mentioned that we'd, recently, been visited by a black-phase Gray Squirrel as well. Here she is! Seen on June 26, 2012 in Columbia County, New York, USA. Neither red nor black-phase squirrels are common in my area, but we are pleased to see them every now & then & try to make them feel welcome! I, first, saw them when I worked in lower Westchester County, New York & was pleased when I saw them farther north! Read below for more information:
