ATTENDANCE OF SPE DISTINGUISHED LECTURE SERIES
The HOD od Petroleum & Gas Engineering Department, Dr. Serdar Surgun led about 30 students of the department ( members of SPE Nile University of Nigeria chapter) to attend the distinguished lecture series of Society of Petroleum Engineers(SPE) Abuja Section at the PTDF Tower. Other staffs of the department in attendance were Engr. Joseph Chior and Miss Rahima Abubakar. The lecture was held on Friday, 22 April, 2016. Also in attendance were Petroleum Engineering students from African University of Science and Technology (AUST) Abuja. Mr. Andrew Martin from Schlumberger, Aberdeen UK delivered the lecture on the topic ‘Modern Perforating Techniques: Key to Unlocking Reservoir Potential’. The lecture gave the students useful insights about this very important aspect of reservoir engineering.
