My neighbors adorable new puppy a lovely subject to play with my new camera.

Thank you for your visit I hope you are enjoying the holiday season. :-)

Over the next few days I have some more shots of our beautiful cat Dusty. Dusty does not like having his photo taken, and it is a rare moment when I can catch him off guard. Dusty has a unique story, and it is true that he chose to come and live with us. We did not adopt him. But he's like a son to us. www.flickr.com/photos/183221334@N02/49533182602/in/album-...

This morning Dusty was up early as usual. His routine is fairly settled. He jumps on our bed around 5am and lovingly asks for me to let him outside. About 7am he's back in for breakfast and then races outside to play. A couple of hours later he's back inside for a snack and then he is off to his bed in the spare bedroom that he's claimed as his own. Right this minute he is having sweet dreams and planning his next move for later in the day.

Oh, and those blue eyes are 100 percent natural. I have done nothing to enhance the colour from this RAW shot.

Here's the baby, just about 10 months now. She is growing so fast. She's very independent and loves to explore!

My lovely Ridgeback, she is very protective of our cats.

This old girl has a few more greys and doesn't have the energy she used to but still has a zest for life. We spent Canada Day weekend up north at the farm where she enjoyed a dip in the river and some fun nature walks.

I imagine you guys are getting tired of my dog pictures. But I want to thank those who continue to visit my stream for their loyalty. I myself have not always been loyal to you lately. My sincere apologies.

My buddy for the day is the one and only Jane St. Clair. She has helped me design decals, edit photos, watch TV, make some soup - I don't know how I would get through my day without all of her help.

Just a fun portrait of Archie for 'Caturday'.

Captured in October 2019. Nothing beats a cardboard box! Forget about all of the expensive toys and hiding places. You can imagine what it was like packing to move home this year. We're still in the process of unpacking everything at the new place so Archie is currently living 'on' a box rather than in one! Wishing all of my Flickr friends and followers a wonderful weekend of photography. Enjoy!

Le chat d'une voisine - a neighbor's cat..

I was asked to do the Valentine photos at the dog daycare I used to manage at. I managed to photograph 35 dogs, a cat and the staff dogs in 3 hours. Now the fun task of editing.

These adorable Corgi's, Bentley and Keo are staff dogs and their smiles are just too cute not to share.

Caught in a moment of pure bliss and golden light, this is Smulan, our beautiful Persian queen. She bestows her affection only on those she deems worthy. Here, she enjoys a sunbeam and contemplates her next royal command over a sniff of her beloved cat grass.

There’s something wonderfully dramatic about the way the light hits her fur here. Smulan certainly knows how to find the perfect spot for a nap. Even with her particular tastes, she’s utterly charming, and that cat grass truly makes her day.

Bumble just wanted to say hi and to remind everyone how important it is to spend time outside. Spending time in nature reduces stress and helps elevate your mood.

Sending warm wishes to all of you! Be gentle with yourself and others (and all living things!). ღ

Always ready for a hike, either its one hour or three.

He is of the breed Finnish Lapphund and his breed is often used as a herder, herding reindeers and sheep.

Oh yes, he is herding me too if he thinks we should go home 😁😂😁

I found my prince

Or, at least I found a frog

Some of you wanted me to give the toad I found last time, a kiss....

Well, it was a toad....

So, this is a frog

That is quite something else

Such a handsome chap

I'm really hopeful for what I will have in my garden tomorrow

💋

Lol

Anything goes 2021 - photograph a pet. Sadly I don't have any pets since we lost our dear old golden retriever, Bruno, in December.

Kelsea owns my friend Coleen. Coleen and Kelsea very kindly let us stay with them during our trip to Canada. I was looking through some travel pics and discovered that I hadn't posted this one. I'm sure you will agree that Kelsea is too beautiful to stay hidden in my archives.

Apologies for being behind with comments, I'm not on Flickr very much at the moment, that darned mojo has gone walkabout again. So please don't feel the need to comment as I am unlikely to be able to reciprocate much right now.

A portrait of my beloved Jasper who left this world six years ago to the day on 11th November 2016.

He wasn't just a handsome boy on the outside but he was, though often aloof, as soft as his fluffiness on the inside too. One of his many nicknames was 'Meester Floffy' which for some unfathomable reason was always said with a terribly stereotypical, yet light-hearted, Mexican-style accent.

He didn't come for cuddles but he did love to be cradled belly-side up or pinned down for a quick cuddle. He was adorably cute and mischievous as a kitten, eating all of my non-toxic precious indoor palm trees. He was incredibly gentle with the quietest squeak of a meow as an adult. He never scratched or bit me once, unlike Archie where it is an everyday occurrence.

You had to bury your head into Jaspers fur just to hear his soft and gentle purr and I miss him every single day.

Jasper... a £20 cattery long-haired moggy that was beautiful, gentle, enormous and long-lived. He was one of a kind.

Black and white re-edit of a portrait of Archie captured in February 2018.

Holding Archie's attention for long enough to capture a photograph is no easy task. You also need some very fast shutter speeds most of the time. He is not one for staying still.

Happy Caturday to my Flickr friends - wishing you all a fantastic weekend of photography.

Enjoy!
