Symmetry ruled this part of the floor plan, the rooms had to be equal. I like the lavatory outside the bath and the balcony the best.

A city-tour on wheelchairs

Welcome on a rolling tour through the city!

Roll through the city is a guided tour through the city from the perspective of being in a wheelchair. The tour opens different views into the city environment bringing into focus issues of inaccessibility/accessibility, difference/similarity, politics and new physical orientations to city space. Taking a tour in a wheelchair creates a different sense of movement, timing, perception and relationship to the environment. Perhaps we notice things differently and maybe we are perceived differently. How does the experience of moving in a wheelchair affect the senses and the kinesthetic experience?

We take the roll through the city together as a group, everybody in wheelchairs. Participants will get an introduction on the basics of to how to use a manual wheelchair at the beginning of the tour. No prior experience of using a wheelchair is necessary, but it should be noted that using a manually operated wheelchair requires some physical strength. The walk will be lead by Sally Davison and Gunilla Sjövall both who have experience with wheelchairs (from a temporary user and a permanent user perspective).

Big open spaces in Namibia

My shot for the Uni weekly picture project, my take on perspective.

I found a deserted childrens nursery while I was walking my sister to school

was lucky to have my camera on me.

Even though it was the morning I was a bit scared of this place!

It would be a great set for a horror film!

Slightly desaturated and added contrast.

from my forest walk part two. another Great day with my Best Friends...It was better then sitting in the house all day :D

I think this image looks best when viewed large . . . .

'Perspective'

Age Group: 19 Years & Over

Date Photo Taken: 1/11/2016

Location: Chair Ten, Telluride Ski Resort

Description: "Trying to catch your breath with views like this, is harder than you may think." This is what was said 5 seconds before this photo was taken through a GoPro helmet cam. Perspective is the art of capturing a moments impression of height, width, depth, and position in relation to each other when viewed from a particular point. Telluride has a knack for warping our preconceived perspectives-- it's beauty is inspiring.

After few months without shooting with my reflex, I'm starting again this autumn and I'm exploring the B/W style.

Another perspective shot. Once again Lake Wisconsin is visible in the background of the ancient river bottom.

The Rheinfall (translation needed?) near Schaffhausen, Switzerland. This is the Rhine's only major impediment to navigation from Lake Constance to the North Sea. To put it in perspective, picture Niagara Falls at half the height, and 1/14 of the volume, but it's still a lot of water crashing down.

Flower bed in Parade Garden, Bath

this was a model of a statue that was going to be build sometime in the future. the actual statue was of a horse head, but this little guy was to show you the scale.

Photos from 'Perspectives' for 'Native Gardens,' Karen Zacarías' celebrated comedy about a young Latino couple that moves into a fixer-upper next to an older couple with a beautifully kept garden. All is going really well until the aristocratic young Chileans discover their property line actually extends about 2 feet over their neighbors' flowerbed. Performances run through May 6, 2018, in the Space Theatre. For more information, call 303-893-4100 or go to denvercenter.org. 'Perspectives' is a series of free public panel discussions held just before the first preview performance of each DCPA Theatre Company offering. Next up: 'The Who's Tommy': 6 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2018, in the Jones Theatre. Photos by John Moore for the DCPA NewsCenter.
