The human eye judges distance by the way elements within a scene get smaller in size the farther away they are, and the angle at which lines and planes converge. The distance between camera and subject and the lens focal length are critical factors affecting linear perspective.

Within 10 square feet, so many people chose different perspectives and angles to view. I chose the one that viewed all those people viewing different perspectives.

For this shot, I laid on the ground and got my camera as level and close to the ground as possible. Shooting from a low angle, as well as focusing past the flowers closest to the lens, produces an interesting perspective that shows the plants as these powerful, towering figures - when in reality, they are quite small and short.
