I kept spotting these huge icicles on a building during my walk to and from work last week, and really wanted to take some pictures of them. Luckily, they hadn't melted by the time I finally remembered to bring my camera along with me.

An evening of free art, food and drink. The gallery crawl was part of a series of events promoting art in the run up to Art Sheffield 08, a city-wide festival event taking place in February and March next year.
After visiting the Site Galley and Persistence Works, the crawl moved onto to the opening event of Oisen at Sylvester Space, where a group of artists explored the shifting identity of the city through work in various media.
This photo shows a group of A-level students, invited to the event thruogh the AS08 Ambassadors at Sheffield College.

Persistence of Vision series. These are not in sequence yet, so bear with me: this one has a middle panel that interrupts the flow of the view (intergalactic gases). This is meant to be near the end of the series.

Mojave National Preserve
The grand beauty that the Mojave Desert manifested was a reminder that persistence is one of life’s most precious qualities. It cultivates vision, preserves hope, and renders commitment.

...your slightest look easily will unclose me
though i have close myself as fingers,
tou opn always petal by petal myself as Spring opens (touching skilully, mysteriously) her first rose...

This series are photographs taken while discovering this magnificent 'bush' Capital of ours and the surrounding region.
I moved here to live at the end of May 2014 and this grouping were taken in early January 2018 on a Wednesday morning bike ride from Kambah, joining The Bicentennial National Trail (BNT) in the Urambi Hills Nature Reserve, before jumping over to Lake Tuggeranong and up to Wanniassa.
'The history of the Bicentennial National Trail is a uniquely Australian story – one where people who dared to dream of a long distance trail to rival America’s Appalachian Trail worked tirelessly to achieve that dream. With dedication and persistence, they made that dream a reality. RM Williams, Dan Seymour, Mike Allen and Brian Taylor are names synonymous with the early days of the Trail. We thank them! We thank them and everyone involved in the establishment of the Bicentennial National Trail.' [Information courtesy of: www.bicentennialnationaltrail.com.au].
However, nothing on that site relates to the trail we explored in the Urambi Hills Nature Reserve. The only extensive information I could find is here: www.weekendnotes.com/urambi-hills-nature-reserve-walking-... - which is a little different to the track we took. Obviously there is much to explore in this Reserve and no doubt we will be back to explore further. NB: I don't normally include images of signage but in this instance they provide good background information.
There are so many areas of natural beauty in the ACT, it's certainly worth a visit!
The reason they are linked to my pinch river profile is because they will inevitably feed into my work at some stage in some way or another, but for now can just be enjoyed as images of the area that captured my attention and inspired my creativity.

"Persistence of Time" Harmon stamp
New edition to my Salvador Dali collection.
This ones an "after" Dali lithograph.
I bought it because I wanted to get any of his prints that had this one graphic editors markings , especially the finger print shown.
It was one of three prints that came up on ebay a while ago (from the same seller) -
All of them had the finger print.
I actually was surprised to get this as cheap as I did as seller contacted me and sold it to me as a "second chance" offer.
I lost the auction but he sold it at my 2nd highest bid price.
The graphic editor ( Harmon) got Dali's finger print after Dali could no longer sign prints due to his illness , before death and used them to allegedly authenticate the lithographs.
Actually this shouldn't be considered an "original" Dali litho as I am sure he didn't do anything as far as the production of it ,
including allowing the size changes or additional images added to the original "Persistence of Memory"
The toddler play area at SeaWorld San Diego - we could have just gone here all day and Raley would have been happy. She was in strict delivery girl mode - lots of blocks to pick up and bring back to us! And the middle part (with the kid in the red shirt) just cracks me up. In fact, if you hear laughing on the sound, that's me - I'm just happy my hands weren't shaking with all of the convulsing I was doing!
Once we arrived in St. Joseph, we drove by the Silver Beach and then into the downtown area. We parked and walked along State Street, taking a little break to stop in Kilwin’s fudge shop (217 State St.) for some chocolate peanut butter fudge and some water. There weren’t any open tables inside, so we sat on a park bench, right across from the Chocolate Café, to eat our fudge and drink our water. The shops in St. Joseph were fun and interesting but most of them felt very contemporary and new. We walked down an alley on our way back to our car, and I snapped this picture of the window of The Toy Company (208 State St.).
This tree appears to be in its final years, yet still, it flowers magnificently.
