...is not my limit...I am.”
- T.F. Hodge, From Within I Rise: Spiritual Triumph Over Death and Conscious Encounters with "The Divine Presence" -
This clever little goat realised that standing on its hind legs and pulling the branch down with its front hooves was the best way to reach the leaves at the top.

March 22, 081/365- . . . is this little group of Magnolias that keep coming back. That is the base of a huge Live Oak right next to them. I have cut them back several times since they have no chance of ever growing there, but they keep coming back. It's another sign of spring when you look at the top of these and see the new leaves coming out.

Last month my left arm was in a cast. This month my right hand is broken. I had about two weeks in between. I gotta stop breaking myself. I tried today. Tried to play some scales and arpeggios and shit...I just wanted to hear a tone of my own creation. I know, you don't get it. That's okay. I tried. It sucked. It hurt. But at least I tried. A couple more weeks and I semi-swear I'm not gonna break myself anymore..maybe.
Old Sheldon Church ruins, South Carolina.
From www.discoversouthcarolina.com/products/3460.aspx: "One of the first Greek-Revival structures built in the United States, Prince William's Parish Church, erected 1745-55, was once one of the most impressive churches in the Province. During the Revolution, the Patriots are believed to have stored gun powder in it. In 1779, when the British General Augustine Prevost invaded the Lowcountry, the church was burned by a detachment which according to tradition, was commanded by the flamboyant local Tory, Andrew Deveaux. Rebuilt in 1826, the church was again burned by Sherman's men in 1865."

The image "Indra, Santa Fe: is a visual expression of persistence, perseverance, and one who cannot be conquered, thus representing the Indomitable Spirit. The woman in the photograph is behind a thick pane of glass, with her hand calmly raised against the window, knowing that she will get out, that she is the master of her destiny. In this knowledge, she understands if what she desires is in front of the glass, than she will end up there through her own persistence. Her calm suggests a staunch resolve, a knowingness that she will not give up. Her efforts will not be thwarted by difficulty or chaos. She will arrive at the place she needs to be, with all knowing peace and dignity.

He never gives up, with this or anything. And sometimes he gets an unexpected helping hand.
I thought this might make an interesting cutout.
