This year, 2026 is the centenary of the formation of Zeiss Ikon, a major player in European camera manufacture in the 2nd and 3rd quarters of the 20th century.
To mark this anniversary, I've decided to use a different Zeiss Ikon camera every two weeks throughout the year, a project I'm calling “Twenty-six in Twenty-six”.
This was taken using the 115mm Pro-Tessar lens.

This clever little goat realised that standing on its hind legs and pulling the branch down with its front hooves was the best way to reach the leaves at the top.

March 22, 081/365- . . . is this little group of Magnolias that keep coming back. That is the base of a huge Live Oak right next to them. I have cut them back several times since they have no chance of ever growing there, but they keep coming back. It's another sign of spring when you look at the top of these and see the new leaves coming out.

Dali rendered his fantastic visions with meticulous verisimilitude, giving the representations of dreams a tangible and credible appearance. In what he called "hand painted dream photographs," hard objects become inexplicably limp, time bends, and metal attracts ants like rotting flesh. The monstrous creature draped across the painting's center resembles the artist's own face in profile; its long eyelashes seem insectlike or even sexual, as does what may or may not be a tongue oozing from its nose like a fat snail.
