Picture taken of the PATH train as it comes into the Grove street station. Longer exposure allowed a blurred look at the moving object.
Introduced, warm-season, annual, low-growing legume to 50 cm tall (usually much less). Leaves have 3 leaflets; each oblong to obovate, hairless and 8-15 mm long, with pale veins often contrasting with the green leaf. Flowerheads consist of solitary (or small clusters of) white and (upper petal) pink-purple, pea-like flowers about 5 mm long in the axils of the leaves. Pods are small and circular. Flowering is in summer and autumn. A native of China and Japan, it is occasionally sown for grazing and widely naturalized north of Nabiac in NSW, especially where the groundcover is low. Adapted to low-moderate fertility soils and
requires a minimum of 900 mm annual rainfall for satisfactory growth. Produces low yields of relatively high quality feed, although it has low palatability due to high tannin levels. Late frosts, dry spring conditions, and grass fires frequently cause serious seedling mortality. It responds to phosphorus applications, nodulates freely with native rhizobia and does not appear to benefit from inoculation. Tolerant of heavy grazing, although it should be
rotationally grazed at 10-15 cm and to no lower than 7.5 cm for best persistence and production. Only lightly graze in autumn to aid good seed set.

There's a reason for that title.
This was a 16 minute exposure - and Canon's subtractive noise reduction kicked in (for the first time ever), resulting in 16 additional minutes waiting for that to finish.
Only to find that the final image was ruined by heavy lens flare from a nearby street lamp (yes, I should have seen that before shooting, but the tripod was positioned so low that getting a clear view of anything but the basic composition was quite impossible).
Although such lens flare usually means the photo would end on the garbage pile, I couldn't let it go. So, some heavy duty Photoshop and RAW work later, it's workable - if not exactly perfect.
Anyway, as for the photo itself:
St. Petri Church in Copenhagen's Inner City. This is one of those churches that aren't lit up at night, so what you see is moon light and ambient lighting (and someone - other photographer? - flickering a flashlight on the tower a few times). Some light painting done on the pillar and fence by myself.
This building always begs to be photographed against a blue sky. It has a funky name too - 'Persistence Works'.
Growth always returns — even after the worst fires.
A fire burned out this field of lodge-pole pines in Glacier National Park three months before I shot this.

Famous Sichuan Chinese Restaurant in Queens Road, Brighton is within a couple of doors of Sichuan Garden and appeared to be out of business at the time of this photograph.

A quick snap of my dad during the snowstorm in the Northeast. I'd like to let everyone know that I did help out with the shoveling after taking this shot! I hope next week will be a bit less crazy weather-wise. Remember to always hope for the best. I love you all!
