The Perry Sandhills are on the edge of the flood plain that includes Thegoa Lagoon. They are ancient and include Aboriginal cultural heritage areas. The sandhills have been used as a backdrop in many films and television shows.
According to geologists, the Perry Sandhills originated after an ice age (40,000 years ago) and are formed by wind erosion over thousands of years. The dunes are located six kilometres outside of Wentworth in New South Wales, and are a unique land formation of 400 acres of continuously shifting sand dunes.
Skeleton remains of giant mega-fauna (kangaroos, lions, emus and wombats) have been found there. Replicas of these animals are now on show at the Pioneer Museum in Wentworth. Aboriginal tribes used this area to camp and hunt. Evidence of this is still being uncovered as the sands drift.
Also seen here are the introduced Paddy melons, they are a weed in Australia, native to South Africa.

In the Spring a multitude of trees burst with new, fresh leaves, orchids and wild flowers bloom, the bird life is wide and varied with birds of prey, many species of owl's and woodland specialists and in the Autumn up come the toadstools, and what a place to walk or hack or cycle to enjoy the changing colours of this season....

Someday we'll turn around and say "Gee, remember when there were motels all over that weren't part of these boring, overpriced chains?"

The building has been radically transformed from its previous incarnation as Hops brewpub (since relocated downtown as Hops 2.0), its styling paying homage to the old Inverted Pyramid St. Pete Pier.
The Perry’s Porch name honours C. Perry Snell, a wealthy Kentucky pharmacist and property developer, whose St. Pete legacy includes Snell Isle and the downtown Snell Tower.

Auf der Konferenz haben wir vor einen Grundstein setzen um, einen Fußabdruck der größten Science-Fiction-Geschichte der Welt hier in Second Life zu errichten.
