I took these images whilst skateboarding round Perry's Perry's paddock in Joondalup. It was late spring and the grass in the paddock was golden and orange with colour. A real "little house on the prairie". It really was beautiful sight.
Dark clouds, blue sky and evening light gave just the right ingredients for this spot lighting.

Macro Monday -- summer picnic
Beautiful bubble bokeh in the neck of a bottle of Perrier, one of my refreshments of choice.
There wasn't the usual covering in bluebells this year in Perry Wood but they were pretty all the same :-)

The Perry-Payne Apartments are located in a historic building in Cleveland's Warehouse District. Originally known as the Perry-Payne Building, the structure was completed in 1889 and was considered an architectural marvel for its time. It was one of the tallest buildings between New York and Chicago, noted for its innovative use of interior iron columns and a unique glass-roofed central court. The building was initially a hub for shipping, iron-ore, and other businesses, reflecting Cleveland's industrial past. In 1994, the building was rehabilitated into luxury loft-style apartments. Today, it combines historic charm with modern amenities, offering residents a vibrant urban lifestyle in a landmark property.

Mount Perry is about 365 kilometres northwest of Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, and about 100 kilometres west of Bundaberg. The town is nestled in a valley near Mount Perry, the area's highest mountain. The Normanby Lookout is located on Normanby Range Road off Towns Creek Road from the Gin Gin-Mount Perry Road. A rural farming area, primarily cattle. Gold mining continues as an important industry. Evolution Mining owns and operates Mt Rawdon Mine Pty Ltd which is a Gold and Silver mine. Mt Perry has Historic copper workings.
Perry used to love to wear his goggles in the tub. I'm sure it was nice to actually be able to see (he's legally blind without any correction) while he wanted to play. Now he just likes to lay and relax, so the goggles are no longer desired. I'm so glad I documented this phase.

So funny thing with this custom. I actually made it 6 months ago but held off of posting him because of stuff that was going on with my life with moving and trying to figure out ways to take better photos. But since the year is coming to a close I don't want to post a figure I made this year in 2017, so this will be my final custom of 2016.
I sanded the sides of a torso to make him skinnier, pretty much sculpted everything, first it was the beak, then eyes, the lower part of the hat and then the upper part. I mixed my own color to get the perfect hue and painted all around on the figgie.
I'll post one more picture of my favorite customs of 2016 and what I thought about the year in a few days.
