Limited control over gravity. Low-level flight. Powerful, but difficult to maintain force fields. Has the ability to draw energy from certain external sources and in doing so becoming much more powerful in the process.

His power is normally limited, the heavier the object is the harder it is for him to effect. Being still a teenager he tends to be insecure and introverted.

Story:

Fluxx was born with his powers, discovering them at a young age and harnessing them throughout the rest of his life. Upon turning 14 felt he was ready to become a full-fledged superhero.

After asking his parents and designing his costume he hit the streets. His area really doesn't have a lot of crime, but what little there is Fluxx takes care of. He is adamant to do it all without hurting anybody. Often times, he would make the perpetrator float harmlessly off the ground and be done with it.

Eventually, he stepped up his game and started fighting crime in the nearby Entree City. This is where he met most of his regular villains and gained what little fame he has.

Fortunately, it was enough fame to attract the attention of the Flickr Fighters. The FF member Matchstick, who Fluxx coincidentally knew outside of the FF, offered him a spot on the team. However, since Fluxx lives in Maine and the FF headquarters is in Texas, Fluxx settled for a sort of internship.

Now Fluxx travels to Advent city for two or three weeks at a time to get training with the other rookies and just spend time with the other Flickr Fighters.

Trivia:

The way his powers affect him, it is most comfortable for him to float several inches off the ground rather than sit. (He also sometimes walks on the ceiling)

He likes to stay up late often goes on night patrols. He also likes to sleep in and is very grumpy in the morning.

He is inventive and likes to make relatively simple gadgets.

The origin of his powers are unknown and not even the scientific minds of the FF understand them completely.

His powers have a sort of aura that leads him to believe they are “alive” in a sense. This means they sort of “get him” when he tells them to do something. It also means he can tell when others have the same energy even if it's manifested in different ways. Examples being Quantum and Magic May.

And apparently, he is incapable of weighing himself! Must have something to do with his superpowers...

P.S. I have some ideas for a short Fluxx miniseries. Let me know if you want to see that happen.

Reporting a suspected crime of heavy child abuse , yet ending up the one who reports it is one being searched and effort to lock her up was done, while the accuse Dad and many people in high position roaming free ? It doesn't need to be a genius to get the understanding by how this investigation was being handled unfairly and one sided, has an obvious indication of a cover up , trying to hide the stinking evil lying behind the scenes. It is like something of a horror thriller movie, yet this could be real.Similar kind of abuse happened decades past with witnesses and abused victims coming out from he woodwork disclosing a big paedophile ring. I'm not surprise, and same as many people now waking up to the truth, that this shadowy Satanic child sacrifice exist and is a big network across Europe. No wonder when i go into some churches ( not all ) , I felt the coldness without the presence of God. Nothing but emptiness , even demonic presence in them, in the interiors. The gestation period of a white rhino (Ceratotherium simum) is 16 months. A single calf is born and usually weighs between 40 and 65 kg. Calves are unsteady for their first two to three days of life. When threatened, the baby will run in front of the mother, which is very protective of her calf and will fight for it vigorously. Weaning starts at two months, but the calf may continue suckling for over 12 months. The birth interval for the white rhino is between two and three years. Walking Across Fire Part 4

As I mentioned in the previous post; I asked a Walmart employee, where the bratwurst are. After I asked, we were making our way to that section. Two employees, come over to a cart that was by the brats. One of those employees, walks towards us, bends over and wipes something off the floor. He then goes back to the cart, you see in this picture. This same employee, parked by us in the parking lot, on 1-23-23. He then showed up in the meat department, to witness the people blocking us, in that area. This was on a previous post; Domestic Terrorism In America, Part 21.

Now, here he is again; the man by the cart, with his hands in his apron pockets. He and another employee, set up by the bratwurst, then, the woman you see with the cart, parks her cart to block Koda and I, from getting through. She walks away, with her red purse, and leaves her cart there. They love to use colors, to identify themselves; as Gang Stalkers. It’s also used to raise the anxiety level, of the Target. Koda, and I, unable to squeeze through.

Again, others, unaware of what is actually happening; wouldn’t think anything about this. The Target (Koda and I), know exactly what is going on. I’ll repeat; I asked where the bratwurst are, then we are blocked again, trying to get through that area. This is the same Walmart, in Buckeye, Arizona. This went on throughout our trip (3-8-23); one section after another.

What I didn’t mention; was the Air Force Jets, that did a dive in this Walmart parking lot, when we arrived. They did the same, on our previous visit to this store. Also, at another Walmart, we visited several weeks ago, in Avondale, AZ. They, too, did it at many other Walmart stores.

What I did mention; was after heavy mobbing, the Village Idiots, showing up, brandishing a huge American Flag, in the back of their trucks. The Village Idiots, didn’t disappoint. I’ll be posting those in a future post. Gang Stalking, and most Community Stalking, is one of our Governments, hidden secrets. Targets are overwhelmed, by these combined efforts. Americans, are left with agencies, expected to investigate themselves. We know how well that works…. These are some of the many acts; using Military and other Government agencies (VA), to discredit, and overwhelm their Target. Can you imagine, trying to explain this to a family member? These are facts, not Conspiracy Theories. You can hear the use of Air Force, and National Guard aircraft, throughout my photostream. If you would like to hear more; let me know, and I ‘ll post them. We continually have them, as I work on our motorhome, venture out for a walk, and when we return.

Gang Stalking, Community Mobbing, and Workplace Mobbing, are some of the major factors, in Mass Shootings. I don’t condone it in any way. But, there are Americans; so overwhelmed, they take drastic measures. You take away everything a person has to live for. You isolate that person. Likewise, you keep them sleep-deprived. Overwhelm them, and back them into a corner; they become dangerous.

A couple of weeks ago; Koda, and I, were coming out of a large medical building. We were mobbed, while in there. The staff constantly fake coughed, while in their lobby. When we stepped out of the building; there was a woman, just outside the doors, smoking. She blew a big puff of smoke, Koda and I, had to walk through. This was staged. I asked the woman; if she had nothing better to do, than expose someone walking out of a medical building, to second hand smoke? She replied; “there is a lot of shit going on in this world, if you don’t like it, why don’t kill yourself”.

There are a lot of hidden things going on, in the United States of America. One thing that has come to the surface; is the many filled with hate, and are openly able to dispense that hate, towards others. If you’re a victim of Gang Stalking, Workplace Mobbing or Community Mobbing; violence is not the answer. Document, record, and video it. Expose those involved. These perpetrators are brave, when they are backed with numbers, law enforcement, and government agencies. Many will cower, if they think they will be exposed. Many are just simple-minded, filled with hate and ignorance. They have to be, when they use their own children, pets, and animals; to harass others.

We met Chris and Lou Orr and other “flickr” friends at the Los Angeles Arboretum. Lou loaned me his 100-400 IS II lens that he attached to my old T1i. The weight of the lens is probably a deal breaker for using hand held. Highlights include a visit with Grommet, the Helmeted Guinea Fowl, and watching the Bushtits put the final touches on their pendulous nest dangling over the tables and chairs at the café. Chris was robbed and W9 caught the perpetrator (Enrique, the Peacock) on video.

Legacy Park in Malibu has been bone dry for some time. Recently, we not only found precious water but also a Sora sauntering around before dashing into the reeds.

Yesterday, Jerry took us (me + W9) up to the Chilao Visitors Center on Angeles Crest Highway. We put over 100 miles on the odometer. I think we saw a Rufous Hummingbird (not even a speck of green feathering) but he simply could not be still for a tail feather measurement. The White-headed Woodpecker was a life bird for us all. I also think we saw a flock of Pine Siskins (???? A lifer if it is. ) pictured in the bottom row to the left of the woodpecker.

February was a wonderful month. Let’s see what madness March has in store.

The people of the Kurdistan Region on Sunday commemorated the Anfal campaigns of the former Iraqi regime in the late 1980s against the Kurdish people that led to the deaths of close to 182,000 people.

In one of the most brutal military crusades against the Kurds in Iraq, the then Saddam Hussein-led government in Baghdad continued its persecution of the group throughout the decade, intensifying in 1988 with an eight-phase operation destroying much of the small settlements in the region, and executing civilians en masse.

A large number of people, including women and children, were forcefully displaced and transferred to camps in southern Iraq, where the government eventually killed some of them and consigned them to mass graves, burying others alive in the desert.

On Friday, authorities from the southern Iraqi province of al-Muthanna found one such mass burial site, with Muthanna Governor Ahmed Manfi affirming to Kurdistan 24 that most of the detected bodies were of women and children. Out of the estimated 182,000, only a fraction have been discovered and exhumed so far.

The main perpetrator behind these acts was then Baathist party Northern Bureau Chief, the infamous Ali Hassan al-Majid, also known as “Chemical Ali.” In 2010, the Iraqi judiciary executed Majid after convicting him of a number of war crimes, including atrocities against the Kurds.

The Kurdistan Region has memorialized the dark chapter in the history of the Kurds, setting April 14 as a day of mourning and commemoration for the lives lost and those still impacted by it.

Earlier today, various officials along with foreign diplomats attended a special ceremony at the Garmiyan Anfal Memorial—located in the Kurdish region of Garmiyan, southern Sulaimani Province—to mark the passing of 31 years since the genocidal operations concluded.

Lima, Peru - 23 May 2025:

In a landmark development for international justice, the Republic of Peru has formally opened a criminal investigation against an Israeli national accused of participating in the genocide in Gaza, following a legal complaint submitted by the Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF).

The complaint was filed by Julio César Arbizu González (b. 1974), a prominent Peruvian human rights lawyer and legal counsel to the Foundation.

The individual under investigation served as a combat engineering soldier in the Israeli military and is alleged to have played a direct role in the methodical and systematic destruction of civilian neighbourhoods in the Gaza Strip during the 2023–2024 military offensive.

The complaint, supported by audiovisual documentation and open-source intelligence, accuses the soldier of engaging in actions that constitute war crimes, crimes against humanity, and acts of genocide.

This step by Peruvian authorities is of immense significance in the global pursuit of justice. It is not only an affirmation of Peru’s adherence to the principles of international humanitarian and criminal law, but also a decisive recognition that universal jurisdiction must be exercised—not merely acknowledged—when those responsible for international crimes are found within a state’s territory.

Crucially, this case highlights the central role played by the Combat Engineering Corps of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) in the implementation of Israel’s genocidal campaign against the Palestinian population of Gaza. Far from being a support unit, the Engineering Corps has acted as a core operational arm of destruction, systematically reducing civilian areas to rubble, erasing entire communities, and rendering large swathes of Gaza uninhabitable. This unit, through its actions, has become one of the primary mechanisms of the genocidal machine.

In response, the Hind Rajab Foundation has undertaken a comprehensive legal offensive targeting this formation. To date, the Foundation has prepared hundreds of individual case files against members of the Combat Engineering Corps. These cases are being progressively submitted before competent national jurisdictions in countries across multiple continents, with more filings to follow in the weeks and months ahead.

The opening of this investigation in Peru demonstrates that the HRF’s legal actions against travelling Israeli soldiers are not symbolic gestures—they yield tangible legal consequences. It is a powerful precedent, affirming that no perpetrator of atrocity crimes should feel shielded by distance or diplomatic complacency.

The Hind Rajab Foundation calls upon all states—particularly those that are parties to the Geneva Conventions and the Rome Statute—to follow Peru’s example by initiating proceedings against individuals implicated in the Gaza genocide who may enter their jurisdictions.

“Justice is not optional. Justice is imperative,” said Dyab Abou Jahjah (b. 1971), Chairman of the Hind Rajab Foundation. “This investigation marks a decisive step in the dismantling of Israeli impunity" he added.

The Hind Rajab Foundation will continue to pursue all responsible individuals—wherever they are, and for as long as it takes—because only justice can lay the foundation for lasting peace and human dignity in Palestine and beyond.

Peru Opens Criminal Investigation into Israeli War Crimes Following Complaint by the Hind Rajab Foundation (Publ. 23 May 2025)

This is Koda the Magnificat, and his fire hydrant. He attaches to objects. And, no, he doesn’t pee on it. He has certain toys and objects he attaches too, and knows by names. He even has, what I call; communication balls. You can see them throughout our photostream. He truly does use them to communicate. Now, Contentment, is something, Koda and I both struggle with. We are both Targeted. But before I get into that, I’d like to talk about his fire hydrant. Get comfy folks; this is going to be one of those long winded bitches. I’ll forewarn you, there is some strong language. There is no sex, nudity or smoking. I repeat; no smoking.

The fire hydrant, we bought in Arizona. The outside temperature reading from my car was 116 degrees. This was reflective heat, as we stopped on the side of a road. Koda and I, were scouting for new campsites. We were looking for a lake and came across this man. He was on the side of the road; a very rural intersection. Setting outside of his van, selling lawn ornaments. We stopped for directions, and he was more than helpful. It was a Saturday, HOT!, So, no one was stopping. I had cold water on ice, asked if he would like some. He told me politely, “No thank you”. I think he was afraid to except it, not knowing what may be in it.

I asked him about his ornaments. He told me his uncle made them in Mexico. Living in our motorhome, nothing really fit. Until, I noticed this one fire hydrant. Koda, in the car, he gave me that; hell no Dad, look. It was that hot. The guy began to talk about his family. I listened; pride gleaming from his face, sweat, rolling off a brow. I asked him about the fire hydrant. He gave me a price. Before I could respond, he lowered it; a lot. It broke my heart. This man’s eagerness to drop the price that low. Probably; just to make a sale and put some money in his pocket. Lets just say; I bought the fire hydrant.

I didn’t look at this mans color, ask about his citizenship. He was a human being. This could have been my father, anyone's father. He was sweating his ass off; trying to provide for his family. What could be more American than that!

As we finished up; the Vultures involved in Gang Stalking (Domestic Terrorism), started showing up. I wanted this man to forgo, these parasites. Wasting his time or possibly, chipping away at his dignity; so they can feel better about themselves. I got in the car. They followed us to the lake. Waiting, for us to leave the car, so they could tamper with something.

Now, lets talk about Contentment. Koda, gets Targeted, just like me. Perpetrators (that’s what they are), involved in Gang Stalking, Target him; to harass and attempt to bait me. As soon as I finished this set of pictures, with my Samsung S21, we went inside our motorhome. Within a couple minutes; a Tan, Chevy Astro Van, pulls in a couple hundreds yards behind us. It’s not the first time we’ve seen this van. Since my last post (In Your Head), the gunfire has stopped. Each time we step outside of the motorhome.

They could be waiting for me to step out with Koda. This time it could be a remote controlled car, zooming feet, past our camp. Our, maybe, they will stand 20-25 yards, directly in front of our screen door; until Koda starts barking. They are parked behind us, so they can bee seen, from several windows; if Koda tries hard. And, he does. This is his motorhome, his house. Don’t Fuck with it! Other than that, he’s a tail wagging, kissing fool; if you let him be.

I started doing dishes, and could care less about the van. Koda, was laying just off to my feet. We had a busy week, so I had a few dishes to wash. I’m thinking about the fire hydrant, and my family. My father, a Puerto Rican; moved to the Midwest, after the Korean war. He suffered from extreme PTSD. He never discussed it, or the war. Never sought treatment. I didn’t know of this, until I became an adult. He still didn’t talk about it. What he did do; was raise 6 kids, many times working two jobs. Then, babysitting his grand-kids. Sharing his selfless time, spreading love and kindness. He would reach out to any neighbor in need. Some, to his dying day, still judge him for the color of his skin.

I remember as a young boy, not in school yet. Dad, would take us to the barber. I had two brothers at the time, now have three. We went to the same barber all the time. The three of us boys would get what was called at the time; a Pineapple. It was pretty mush as buzz cut, with just a couple inches of bangs; trimmed to perfection. I’m talking 4 inches wide, 2 1/2 inches long, and cool as shit at the time.

Yep, we couldn’t wait for dad to take us to get Pineapples. The barber would play Puff the Magic Dragon. And, he would give us suckers before we left. We loved it, don’t judge me….

This time, the barber was closed. We didn’t know why. The sign just said “Sorry Closed”. Dad, drove around, for what seemed like hours. We finally stopped by a drug store, we used to shop at a lot. My brother and I, were accused of stealing candy from that drugstore. The man told my mom (who was a white as the background I’m typing on); it was on a previous visit. It may have been when we were with dad. I didn’t remember, but we definitely didn’t, steel any candy.

We finally walked into the barber shop, by that drug store. I couldn’t remember being in there before. The barber was standing by a sink, a man, reading a paper, in one of the chairs. The guy at the sink looked at dad and said “We don’t serve your kind”. The guy in the chair, didn’t even move the paper to look at us. Dad, said something like, lets go boys, and we went home. He didn’t talk about it. We did go back to our regular barber soon after. Life was grand again; I was like 4, 4 ½. If I were 5, I may have said something, or bitch-slaped someone.

I’ve just touched a few moments, of my father’s and mother’s, couragase life. Now lets talk about my daughter. This was a young girl that had the grade school kids; call her the “China Girl”. This was on bus rides, to and from school. This is the young girl that excelled at everything she touched, or learned. She loved learning, she broke records in golf, as a freshman. I told her, she could do anything she wanted in life, with and education.

She had her peers, put a Korean Flag on her locker. Writing on it; “Go Back To Korea”. She had her peers, put an article on her locker, about a devastating fire at my work place. I think they wrote Ha, Ha, Ha, on that one. Her peers, put over eight dead animals in our front yard. They put a decomposed raccoon, in our mail box. She had a death threat. I pulled her from that school, and got her enrolled in an alternative school.

She graduated at 17, and went to collage. She was working part time, in our small town. Paying her expenses. So she could get to and from school. At her work parking lot, they carved a big “Fuck You”, on the hood of her car. They slashed the shit out of her convertible top. She taped it up with duck tape. Drove 40 miles, in the freezing, snowing, winter, weather; to collage. Mitch McConnell, Nancy Pelosi; where were you when my daughter needed you? Where have you been the last 20-30 years? Look at what you have brought this country too. Fuck, already, retire!

OK, folks; lets not rally the Billy Bobs, their Sister’s Daughter/Wives’s, and big pick-ups, for rounds of violence. It’s not the answer. I don’t condone it. Educated yourself on the candidates. Pathetically, both parties, don’t represent the American People anymore. God, now, I’m going to have more want-to-bees, following us around, holding up their cellphone, and touching their ear bud.

Really, guys, this shit really happens. Right in the public eye. You don’t believe me Mr. CIA, FBI, Homeland Security Directors. All you have to do; is look at the security cameras. Maybe the ones at the Grand Junction Walmart. Or, the many, Walmarts, Koda and I visit. You will see employees; waiting for us at the door, rushing to cut us off with carts, block us with carts and bodies. Throwing arms and objects into the air. Blocking the items I purchase on a regular bases. Rushing, to beat us to the bathroom. In case I should stand up for myself and dog. Rather than cower and rush away, while being baited, or harassed. Using groups of people in the community to do the same. You can see the woman, our last trip. She used 3 young teenage boys; to try and bait, block, Koda and I. She even jumped in, to to show them how to properly do it. Shit, before Koda and I got back to camp; I had a hemorrhoid adds, popping up on my cellphone. I’m sure you have agents that may, regularly monitor Walmart cameras.

Or, you guys can look at the Grand Junction, VA cameras, on 7-8-22. You may see two nurses, eagerly trying to bait Koda and I. While preforming Street Theater at the same time. Or maybe you will see a nurse set Koda and I; in front of an automatic door, to do a basic eye exam. While, having other staff pushing the automatic door button. The door, hitting Koda and I. He, laying at my feet; like he’s trained to do.

You might be able to see the veterans outside Gaslighting. As we come and go. Yes, there are veterans gullible enough to fall into this shit. I do want to give a shout out to the great Doctor, I did see. And, two of the volunteers; that were helpful and gracious. Koda, gave one a kiss of gratitude. I normally don’t allow him to make contact with others, while working. She was well deserving.

Seriously Mr. Directors; you telling the American people, you don’t know the who, or how US Citizens are being attacked by Electronic Weapons, on US soil. While our Defense Spending; what, is 800 billion, now. WTF! Does someone need to refine these Electronic Weapons, even smaller? So they can be further used; on US Citizens, on US soil, in plain sight. Some, are already hand held. Come on guys; how long have they been refining them, since the early 60s, maybe 50s. We never get a truthful answer.

Mr. FBI Director; your agency has been aware of Gang Stalking (Domestic Terrorism), for Decades now, and does nothing about it. You go on about China’s threat of spying. We have Americans (US Citizens), illegally spying on their own American neighbors! I hate to break it to you. We are acting like China. You expose the truth in the United States of America; your life is destroyed.

Shit, folks, now Koda and I, are going to have more dark vehicles, boxing us off on the roadways. I bet, there will be low flying aircraft; circling, hovering our motorhome. Ten minutes after I post. Or, as soon Koda and I step outside; searching desperately for contentment.

Mr. Homeland Security Secretary; you just plainly SUCK. If one of you guys would grab your tiny balls, find an ounce of courage. The courage I saw in my father, that I see in my mother. I see so proudly in my daughter, and even my dog. You guys could help Democracy 100%. We could have our nation back. If you can’t summon that courage, resign. Do us all that favor…. Then you can all publish your books, be paid contributors, to what is supposed to be news agencies, and make your millions.

Oh shit, that sounded offensive, but I’m offended, Americans are offended! Stop blaming everything and everyone, but yourselves. This shit has been going on for decades, some for centuries.

People, violence is not the answer. Take a moment to think, before you act on hearsay. We don’t need to spy on each other. Fuck Whats-his-face. Take a breath, think and educate yourself properly. This will be a better country. We are all human beings, animals treat each other better than we do, at this point.

I came upon these images as something to potentially use in a series of blog entries that I've started related to the technologies of image making. The blog articles are my attempt to dispel some of the myths and marketing lies that seem to be all too easily perpetrated on photographic artists.

A Magpie on the hunt in our garden this morning

Having taken a couple of shots - Frames 1 & 2, a minute later I realised it was after one of our resident Slow Worms!

Frame 3 shows it taking a grab at the reptiles head and by Frame 4 the Magpie had already had it in it's beak........

However the prey wriggled like mad and along with me making a fuss, the perpetrator dropped it

- making a quick exit into the adjacent foliage ......and the Magpie flew off

I made it back from vacation last week, worked a few days and headed out to take a few pics. I walked the Merced River hoping to get a couple of river pics. The lighting wasn’t the best along the river so I took to the meadows. 1. Despite living in Las Vegas, I am English. Born in Southampton, U.K.

2. I have spent 95% of the last 20 years working in the casino industry, starting as a dealer when I was 18.

3. Winters do not agree with me. Give me 100*F heat everyday, oh and a pool to dunk myself in.

4. I once owned a Bronica ETRS medium format camera. I regret not paying the extra for the Mamiya 645.

5. The aforementioned Dan Grenier was the first person to comment on one of my uploads. He's a kind fellow, always has encouraging words like many of my contacts.

6. My biggest passion in life, after my wife of course, is forward progress. I get bored easily which drives me to learn and research anything I involve myself in. To my wife's chagrin naturally :)

7. The last book I read was The Professor, the Banker, and the Suicide King: Inside the Richest Poker Game of All Time. I am a winning poker player and really should play more, it would be a great way to fund lens purchases :) Alas, so little time and so much to do!

8. My boyhood idol was Kevin Keegan. He captained England and played for my hometown team Southampton F.C. for two seasons in the beginning of the 80's. This was the time my brother started taking me to games, great memories. 9. Kayodeok is hands down my favorite photographer I have seen so far on Flickr. The first reason is technically and artistically, I think some of his work is breathtakingly good and I urge everyone to spend at least a half an hour checking out is stream. And secondly, he photographs London in a way I have never seen before. I don't get home sick often, but seeing his work makes me so!

10. My dream as a child was to be an RAF fighter pilot! Think I took a wrong turn somewhere ;) I don't really believe in regrets, life is too short.

In 1904, the Herero peoples to which they belong, and Nama people were victims of the first genocide in history, perpetrated by the Germans settlers in Namibia: 85,000 people were exterminated between 1904 and 1907.

Vogelsang IP

The former Nazi “Ordensburg” Vogelsang is not only one of the largest constructions of National Socialism, but also an expression of its arrogance and contempt for mankind. Through the military use as "Camp Vogelsang" after the Second World War, the location also reflects the path from the "Cold War" to the Europe of today. Since 2006, a new location has been developing here: Vogelsang IP as an "international place" for tolerance, diversity and peaceful coexistence. The lessons from history are seen as both a duty and an opportunity. Appreciation, dialogue and openness are attitudes to which all facilities at the location are dedicated.

The permanent exhibition at Vogelsang IP focuses on the young men who were selected to be moulded into a future leadership elite of the National Socialist regime. The example of Vogelsang demonstrates the large extent to which architecture was used to document power and control of the Party.

The Ordensburgen were always both training centres and stages for the self-projection of the NSDAP leaders. At the same time, they were characterized by an air of incompleteness and haste: many things appeared to be improvised and driven by restlessness. This applies above all for the educational curricula of the courses, which were constantly changed and criticised within the Party.

Nevertheless, the Ordensjunker, (knights of the Order), as they called themselves, were presented to the German people as the new party elite. Many of them actually felt as if they were just that. With their entry into the Ordensburgen they believed that they had found a way to achieve social advancement and a professional career. The male association into which they were accepted promised them safety and protection and the comradeship of like-minded men.

Their minds were ideologically moulded by lectures and seminars but also by physical training with military drills and many kinds of sports. Particularly in the courses on “racial studies”, the image of their alleged superiority was constantly reinforced. A National Socialist substitute religion with rites and solemn ceremonies helped the Ordensjunker believe that they were participating in the creation of a “new race” of the future.

With this ideological background, the men of the Ordensburgen initially went as soldiers into a war which was, particularly in the east, a war of racial extermination. Several hundred of them were deployed to Poland, the Baltic States, Belarus and the Ukraine like modern colonisers. Many of them were involved in the National Socialist crimes in these regions. It took a very long time before post-war society and ultimately the judicial system began to take an interest in individual perpetrators.

At the conclusion of the exhibition, questions remain that deliberately reach beyond the history of National Socialism: What would we have thought ourselves? How would we have acted had we been alive in a similar time and given a similar task? Are there any comparable situations in the today’s world? What do democracy and plurality mean to us in our society today?

The consecration of the Cathedral - the symbol of the 1700th anniversary of the proclamation of Christianity as a state religion in Armenia - took place on September 23, 2001.

Andranik Ozanian, commonly known as Andranik (Armenian: Անդրանիկ; 25 February 1865 – 31 August 1927) was an Armenian military commander and statesman, the most famous fedayi and a key figure of the Armenian national liberation movement. Andranik became active in the Armenian armed struggle against the Ottoman government and Kurdish irregulars in the late 1880s. He joined the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktustyun) party and along other fedayi, he sought to defend the Armenian peasantry living in their ancestral homeland; an area known as Turkish (or Western) Armenia—at the time part of the Ottoman Empire. His revolutionary activities ceased in 1904, when he left the Ottoman Empire. In 1907, Andranik left Dashnaktustyun because he disagreed with its cooperation with the Young Turks, a party which years later perpetrated the Armenian Genocide. In 1912–1913, together with Garegin Nzhdeh, Andranik led Armenian volunteers within the Bulgarian army against the Ottomans during the First Balkan War.

Since the early stages of World War I, Andranik commanded the first Armenian volunteer battalion and led them within the Russian Imperial army against the Ottoman army. After the Revolution of 1917, the Russian army retreated and left the Armenian irregulars outnumbered against the Turks. Andranik led the defense of Erzurum in early 1918, but was forced to retreat eastward. By May 1918, Turkish forces stood near Yerevan—the future Armenian capital. The Dashank-dominated Armenian National Council declared the independence of Armenia and signed the Treaty of Batum with the Ottoman Empire, by which Armenia gave up its rights to Western Armenia. Andranik never accepted the existence of the First Republic of Armenia because it included only a small part of the area many Armenians hoped to make independent. Andranik, independently from the Republic of Armenia, fought in Zangezur against the Azerbaijani and Turkish armies and helped to keep it within Armenia.

Andranik left Armenia in 1919 and spent his last years of life in Europe and the United States. He settled in Fresno, California in 1922 and died five years later in 1927. Andranik is greatly admired as a national hero by Armenians; numerous statues of him have been erected in several countries. Streets and squares were named after Andranik, and songs, poems and novels have been written about him, making him a legendary figure in Armenian culture.

I would like to thank all of you for the many compliments and awards received on my last post (High Sierra Sunrise); thank you so much.

For this picture I used the same editing techniques as I did with my last post. Reading through it; you may think it’s a lot of procedures and work, but the flow and editing is fairly easy. Lightroom, Nik Collection and Photmatix, all have great tutorials. The learning curve is much faster and easier than Photoshop.

Now for the title (Waiting); I was waiting for the sunrise to come over the mountain ridge. But, with many of my titles it symbolizes a message, which I hope will resonate with the reader. Waiting also symbolizes the long struggle we Targets have in making social and legal changes.

I seldom speak of my health issues, but I want you to understand the inhumane depth that the perpetrators involved in Gang Stalking, Community Based Stalking and Workplace Mobbing will lower themselves to. I’ve mentioned in previous post that that my coworkers were told to blow cigarette smoke in my face and to expose it to me, as often as possible. This has been going on for years, not just from coworkers, but also many of the other residents in Yosemite National Park. What I didn’t tell you was that I had cancer; colon cancer. I had a large tumor removed and a section of my colon removed on June 3rd. While recovering from this major surgery; I had people throughout the park, setting up to expose me to their cigarette smoke. While trying to rest, sleep and recover; my neighbors would slam their doors, stomp on the floor in the hallway, cough loudly right outside my door, slam trash and recycle container lids, pull trucks right outside my window and honk their horn. These are just a few example of the tactics what these parasites are capable of and how morally inept they truly are.

I tell you this not for empathy, I’m doing fine and bounce back quickly. I tell you this because I want you to truly understand how sick and twisted these people are. I tell you this because I want you to know how these groups psychologically and emotionally harass their Targets. I tell you this because I don’t want my daughter exposed to this, your children exposed to this.

Recently Facebook reviled that they were performing Social Experiments with its members. They wanted to know if they could affect the emotional state of its members. Many people have become outraged and they should be. This has been going on for decades by many organizations. Also recently, the Veterans Administration has come under fire. For years their administrators thought they were above reproach. Whistleblowers were retaliated against; many that wanted to speak out were intimidated to be quiet. It finally caught up with them; administrators’ and many top officials fired.

There will come a day when the acts of these people and the ones that cover up for them, will be exposed for their involvement in Gang Stalking, Community Based Stalking and Workplace Mobbing.

I'm not above the cult of celebrity and enjoying tittle-tattle about who's been tweeting what about whom; just that it's so rarely by or about anyone that interests me. I couldn't care less what The Royal Family or Lindsay Lohan has been up to: my heroes are mostly scientists, philosophers and novelists. Even political sleaze and corruption these days is much more depressing than it is interesting.

So it was a rare treat to indulge this immature compulsion by lapping up the news that Bret Easton Ellis, most famous as the author of American Psycho, launched a Twitter broadside against David Foster Wallace. Over the course of over a dozen tweets, he called Wallace insufferable, needy, tedious, overrated, tortured, pretentious and a fraud, and called his fans "Literary Doucebag-Fools [sic]." As tittle-tattle, it's not as interesting as it might have been if Wallace hadn't been dead for four years.

Full disclosure: I consider David Foster Wallace to be a genius, and I don't use the word lightly. I have never read any of Bret Easton Ellis's novels, but on the basis of his tweets (these Wallace tweets aside) I have for a while considered him to be an asshole. I note that attacking a venerated figure is a good way for a has-been to generate publicity, and if that venerated figure is dead then they can't retort. Of course I don't know either Ellis or Wallace and I have no business judging them as individuals, so I started to question the judgements I had - semi-consciously, semi-automatically - made, and my reasons for making them.

The impetus for Ellis's attack was the release of a new biography of Wallace, Every Love Story is a Ghost Story. I haven't read it yet, but the reviews say that it reveals and details some unpleasant sides of the man Ellis sardonically calls "Saint David Foster Wallace": he spent most of his life a recovering addict (alcohol, cannabis), once threw a coffee table at a girlfriend, had a huge number of sexual relationships, one with an underage girl.

I asked myself why don't these facts affect my judgement of him as a person? I have an image of who Wallace was. It's only an image (do we ever know anyone more deeply?), and it's based on reading his novels, his stories, his non-fiction; on watching TV interviews he gave. I consider him to have been a good man, and stories about getting angry and losing his temper, about substance abuse and sexual promiscuity, don't alter this image in my mind. Perhaps it's because I can relate easily to these particular vices, but how do I explain the differences in my perception of Wallace trying to push a girlfriend from a moving car and my perception of Chris Brown beating Rihanna? What they both amount to is domestic violence, morally indefensible whether perpetrated by a literary genius or a brainless singer. Maybe all I'm doing here is expressing an unfair bias, but I see Chris Brown as a misogynist who doesn't consider his actions because he believes that wealth and fame entitle him to do whatever he pleases; I see David Foster Wallace as a frightened, oversensitive man who spent his whole life thinking - maybe too hard and too much- about the question of how to live a meaningful life. A man who tried his best and failed not just in specific instances, but in general: after battling 'atypical depression' for decades, Wallace hanged himself in 2008 at the age of 46.

I wonder can a man who writes with such passion, intelligence and humour about the human condition fail to know what it means to be a good person? Of course: many grisly and nasty people have created beautiful art, and someone of Wallace's incredible intellect and (imo) unparalleled command of the English language is surely capable of being highly manipulative. But still my beliefs about what Wallace was like as a person are unchanged.

These thoughts have all been quite meandering and incoherent - I'm typing as they come to me - but if I can draw a conclusion from them it's that this is all about trust. I parenthetically remarked earlier that - cliche or no - we can't really know anyone; all we know is surface and image, not the depths that the image represents. When an image of someone is incomplete or we suspect it of lacking authenticity, we speculate based on what we have. To make negative speculations may be unfair but is often necessary; to make positive speculations is called trust. My image of, say, my friends may be much fuller than my image of David Foster Wallace or my image of Chris Brown, but on the basis of them I trust my friends, and I trust David Foster Wallace.

The following extract is from The Martian Chronicle the day after the first incident made famous in the book and subsequent holovid “Waking the God of War”:

A massive explosion yesterday on the Pavonis highway 27 kilometers south of the Klien Domes has been traced to a terrorist with a neutron grenade launcher.

Ten Martian citizens travelling on the road and one lunar settler, (the believed perpetrator of the attack,) were killed in the incident. No names have been released yet but Guildmaster Chang has sent personal messages and his deepest sympathies to the families of those killed and spoke in a press conference this morning.

“It appears the people of Mars have now been brought into the conflict between the Lunar separatists and Earth-gov. I’m sure this is an attempt to make us choose sides, an action I refuse to take, no matter the provocation. I will not be responsible for humanities first interplanetary war!” proclaimed the Guildmaster. He looked pale and tired; apparently he was in briefings all night as facts about the attack surfaced.

I was really impressed with the depth at f4. With the XE-1 the exposure comp dial is right on top and easy to flip through, but you need a stable tripod to get the crisp detail. I used a Horusbennu tripod I bought from ebay ($109 with shipping). It is carbon fiber and the model I bought weighs less than 2 lbs, is rock solid and great for backpacking. I also use a Hrousbennu ball head, the combo weighs in at about 2 ½ lbs. I spotted the little red leafed dogwood tree walking to work. It was surrounded by redwood, incense and ponderosa pines and ferns. It was taken early morning, just after the sun was breaking over the mountains. Now that I drew you in with the processing info, I’d like to share another life’s lesson.

Historically journalist, artists and musicians lead the way in Social Reform. Sadly the only change most Americans are willing to make; is that of their TV station, or the position of their cellphone when taking a selfie. I use photography directly with conversation exposing the atrocities Targeted Individuals (TIs) endure on a daily basis; from Gang Stalking, Community Based Stalking and Workplace Mobbing. Perpetrators will use tactics that systematically, psychologically destroy the TIs life; as if death by a thousand cuts. Many of these tactics taken directly from military psych ops; extreme repetitive noise campaigns, gaslighting, stalking, harassment and sleep deprivation. Most of the perpetrators are playing a tiny role, unknowing the detrimental psychological and physical impact on their Target, the Targets family and livelihood. This is done every day, all day and night. Targets eventually sharing a type of PTSD and with ubiquitous surveillance their lives turned into a performance; which is recorded, stored and then can be manipulated, viewed and infinitely replayed, all while discrediting the Target. The Target is left isolated from friends, coworkers and family.

In today’s government and corporate reign; I’m addressing these problems in ways the news media and legislators wont. Month after month surveillance tactics by our government are being exposed; phones, computers, cameras, internet, snail mail and planes are being used. What isn’t being exposed through news media is; this is also being carried out by your neighbors, your coworkers, those pretending to be your friend. Groups, neighborhoods, communities and coworkers are fed derogatory, defaming lies, innuendoes about an individual (Target) in their community. Those easily influenced and morally inept are then rallied by self-anointed sociopaths; to destroy the individual’s’ life, rid their precious community of said individual (Target). Yosemite National Park is such a community; Law Enforcement, its Superintendent is fully aware of it and allows it, as do most communities in the United States. This is our government at its best; they have an opportunity to stop Gang Stalking and Workplace Mobbing on government soil, but chose to allow it and place blame on the victim.

For posting this there will be retaliation; the morally inept will be rallied and called upon to harass, stalk, push my buttons and try their best to get me to act out of character. This is a risk many of us will take; we love our country, we are patriots and will not be intimidated by the morally corrupt. Without exposure and dialog there will be no change. Fish in Yosemite National Park are protected, people are not. I’m going to repeat this so you may pause for a moment and really think about it. Fish in Yosemite are protected, people are not. I don’t say this because I want fame or recognition; I say this because I have a daughter, I say this because I’ve served and love this country, I say this because this is a reality that we will be leaving our children.

For speaking out and exposing the truth; my neighbors are told to hate me, they and total strangers are told to follow me, stalk me and harass me. For speaking out and exposing the truth; strangers will discredit me, mock me, and defame me. This is a reality we will be leaving our children.

In every one of these images I’ve titled November, in this set; I had people intentionally try to photo bomb my compositions. I’ve had people follow me into remote locations, walk across closed meadows, step down steep embankments along rivers, wait in their vehicles by my Jeep, so they could blast off as I approached. This is a reality we will be leaving our children.

I’ve been expecting specific mail, so the last two days; I’ve had imbeciles blocking my PO Box with cameras and tripods, pretending to take pictures. I had a girl standing beside me with her cell phone, videoing me as I open my PO Box. This is a reality we will be leaving our children.

I have the evidence to prove all of this, but Yosemite’s Law Enforcement will make excuses why they can’t do anything (even though we have laws to stop this), they will make excuses for the perpetrators involved, they will switch the blame back on me. This is a reality we will be leaving our children.

You won’t see this on our network television stations. You won’t read about this in your local papers. Gang Stalking, Community Stalking and Workplace Mobbing are real; they destroy families and lives every day. This is a reality I am not willing to leave our children.

Ballyalban Fairy Fort

County Clare, Ireland

There are over 2,500 ring forts located throughout Ireland. It is believed the forts were used for protection from animals and enemies and/or as homesteads by farmers.

Ring forts were later seen as “fairy forts” imbued with Druids’ magic and believers in fairies did not alter them as it was thought destroying a fairy fort would result in the death of the perpetrator.

The Ballyalban Fairy Fort has been preserved for historic reasons and local fairy communicators hold that it's guarded by a pooka in the shape of a pony. Pookas are malevolent fairies which take the shape of animals

It is easy to see why people would believe that fairies inhabited these ring forts. The lush green trees and leaves with dappled sunlight shining throughout the fort made it feel quite magical!

Madonna del Sacco is an oil on panel painting by Perugino, dating to around 1495–1500. It shows the Madonna and Child with the infant John the Baptist and an angel. It is now in the Galleria Palatina in Florence.

The figure of Mary is stylistically close to that in the Madonna and Child and the Certosa di Pavia Altarpiece, painted around the same time. She is modelled on Perugino's wife Chiara Fancelli.

The Madonna stands in the center of a vast landscape of gentle hills sloping down into the distance, highlighted in gold. Her mantle covers a large white travel bag, on which the Child is seated, supported by an angel. Behind the Virgin, slightly away, St. John's symmetrically balances the scene, in turn kneeling in prayer.

The scene is set according to a calm and pleasant scheme, ordered by the rules of symmetry and rhythmic correspondences, as can be seen in the alternating inclinations of the heads. The Madonna is typical of the painter's mature production, who gave way to the elegant and refined young girl in favor of a more mature, simple and severe woman, in line with the Savonarolian spiritual climate. The chromatic richness, the solid plasticity and the monumentality of the forms now seem to herald the activity of Raphael, the greatest of the painter's pupils.

The work takes up the recurring representation in Christian painting of the Virgin and Child (or Madonna), presenting the Virgin Mary with the Child Jesus here in the presence of an angel and little Saint John the Baptist.

A particular object present in the representation personalizes the name without the meaning being made explicit. Here the sack would be an allusion to a rampage ("a sack") perpetrated in the city, or to the sack of wheat brought back during the return of the Flight to Egypt.

The painting is stylistically close to the effigy of Mary, inspired by that of Chiara Fancelli, the wife of Perugino, other contemporary works such as The Virgin and Child and the Virgin of the Polyptych of the Charterhouse of Pavia.

The red represents the Passion of Christ and the blue the Church. In Our Lady is implied the union of (our mother) the church by the sacrifice of her son.

Australia is full steam ahead for the second stolen generation.

And just like the first the verdict is in “...it has been decided, that in a court you are not represented in, that for the benefit of your children, you will not raise them…”

Just blame everything on the rich?

As much as Elon Musk, and the other space venturing billionaires are criticized for their effort to commercialise space, unless we are successful in finding by an absolute miracle a remarkably similar planet, we will all suffer a horrible and inevitable fate. Mathematically it is a certainty that in the future, there will be no reproductive freedom as is currently known in the west. Unless we find another habitable planet, and exterminate more innocent living things, reproductive freedom as we know it will end. Can we not just terra form like the Weyland corporation of the Alien movies? Well terra forming is going to take an age, and we do not have that much time. It is a scenario, that l contemplated while studying the arts at university, ironically not one I was introduced to while studying the sciences. While studying the arts my lecturer, a doctorate holder in the arts, instructed me that the world population had been predicted to be held, or plateau at fourteen billion, a number l found horrific. The same lecturer once asked a class l was in, if we were a feminist or not, and to raise our hands if we were. Although it seemed like a name and shame process for those that did not, l raised my hand because l was, and it should be noted, l still am. Additionally it must be said that this writing that contains some of my dairy musings, is not an attack on feminism but a defence of it. Why would l be seemingly critical of feminism? Because feminism is floundering. Why was this number of fourteen billion so horrific to feminism in my opinion? I thought it was horrific, not just for the sheer distress it will place on the planet, but for the fact that when we as a planet hit a population of fourteen billion, the beauty of having children will not be available for all women, nor all men. Reproductive freedom will end; and with it, sex as we know it too, thus leaving sexual freedom to become a misnomer.

The scenario led me to question both the process and motives for procreation. It led me to explore the politics and motives for state sanctions, state subsidies, and or the construction of the system that takes children away from their parents. In my research and study, l realised, l was not alone, and that much of what l was contemplating was nothing original. Many have contemplated the issues l looked at, and many have considered those issues before me; but l do not think, that it was comprehended that a second stolen generation, had, or would have, occurred. In the supposed emancipation of woman, who would have thought, that in the attempt to achieve it, children would be abducted by the state once again. Mournfully l do not think that it is possible to talk freely about it without ridicule, and the sadness that means for us all. It causes a lot of personal introspection about the motives of the people who perpetrated it, and who would have a vested interest, in a process that lost its way. One that has and manages to cause so much damage. But what has occurred too once again cause the theft of children? What would be the motive for this? Has the scenario of breeding been high jacked with well-meaning state sanctions, and its mutation, promoted with it, the prostitution of motherhood, via well-meaning state subsidies? Was this a repeat of the old colonial system? Despite the necessity for a safety net, the family unit was, and is prostituted with state subsidies here in Australia. And I contemplated heavily about a presumption that it might be said that those involved where both bad men and bad woman. I thought that this thought pattern would be a simplistic one, when the state had caused it, with state overreach. It was, and is promoted with, populist political pork barrelling of the individual…

With those in custody of their children paid more money by the state to not stay with the person they had their children with, what other choice was there? I understand the conundrum of the safety net, and the position everyone is in, but the sanctions, and subsidies, have caused a radical shift, and that shift has occurred in a noticeably brief period of time. It has changed where the centre of the gaussian curves to produce children are positioned. Gaussian curves that took thousands of years to position, with both nature and nurture… This new positioning of the centre of the gaussian curves, has widely occurred in countries where neo feminism is practiced, as opposed to where feminism was being applied. It has become a process promoted with postcolonial western dogma, for some countries in the west, including Australia. Is it part of the decolonisation of west? Is part of postcolonialism to take children away from their fathers, and to dismantle the family unit? One of the reasons why l contemplate why it happened, is that it goes against what the world’s greatest feminist, my grandmother, and what she had taught me by her example. She taught me that you do not expect others to pay for your privilege, you earn it. The Questions are, who has, or will shoulder the cost of this new system? Who is paying for the repositioning of those mathematical bell-shaped curves? And as always, there are rhetorical questions, such as. Is, or was it, a finite system, for both monies, and the custody of the children? Did it become a system where you rob Peter to pay Paul? And in this experiment of monumental size, and consequences, are the social scientists making up numbers like the reserve banks of the world? And do they not consider that unlike the digital world where money has no limit, in the real-world people do.

The academic narrative is that the old patriarchal system used to run men into cannons in the name of nationalism. The men were called cannon fodder. It was said that they, the patriarchy, were leading lambs to the slaughter. A modern term seemed to morph from this, and it was sheeple. But with the destruction of feminism’s admirable objective, that of equality of opportunity, a new group of cannon fodder or sheeple has been produced, and it has occurred via a second stolen generation. In counting people like numbers of a herd, instead of as individuals with inalienable rights, are the sheeple, being treated anything less than statistical cannon fodder? The question is who or what does this new stolen generation serve? Could the feminists have been deliberately misguided to a non-beneficial objective or was it an initiative-taking result of neo feminist dogma. Neo feminism that is in opposition to my grandmother’s example and the feminists of her era, seems to feature heavily in the neo feminist movement. Were the results inevitable once the contributions that males make to their families were disrespected. The result of that disrespect is that it has produced a second stolen generation. And just like the first stolen generation it comes from the undervaluing of a parent’s right to raise their children, and how valuable that contribution is in the future wellbeing of the child or children. The statistics are that in Australia 45% of court proceedings result in sole custody being awarded to the mother. In contrast only 11% of fathers will receive sole custody. Only 3% of court cases result in a Court Order that mandates no contact with one of the child’s parents, 83% of the time the mother ended up with custody.

Like the old government Aboriginal protection board, the new system is weighted in favour of children being taken away from those deemed as unessicary, unessicary for anything other than their labour. In the old protectorate system, children were taken away from Aboriginal mothers who were the predominate raisers of children. And just like the current stolen generation it is was said to have been done for the greater good. To paraphrase the band Midnight Oil’s song and its themes, what a “…Short Memory…” Under the new government child protectorate board, woman are receiving custody, at a rate that makes feminism seem like a pathetic ideal. Feminism was sold as being about equality of the sexes, but this is far from what has been achieved when it comes to who receives child custody of the children. With most children being taken away from their fathers by the court or given up by their fathers due to a financial reality. The reality is that his family, would get more money on single parent benefits while he worked and subsided the family while in isolation. The result of this process involving court rulings and financial stimulus, is that the numbers of this second stolen generation far exceed the first one. The first stolen generation saw approximately 100 000 Australian Aboriginal children taken from their families. And it was horrific. The new system sees 1 in 3 marriages end in divorce, on average, at the 12-year mark. Every year around thirty-nine thousand marriages are broken, a statistic that does not include unmarried couples. (It is a poor statistic, but l tried typing in “…how many children are taken away from their fathers in Australia…” and got back metaphoric crickets chirping. I wanted a definitive number, a number that would drive home the scale of the incident or crime.) Of those marriages that have children they predominantly go to the mother both by court edict, and or end up with the mother, as it is more economically advantages, under the Australian state subsidised system. Yes, the state here in Australia pays a person to separate from their child’s other parent. In Australia, the state pays you to break apart your family.

But where is the word sorry? Who will say sorry to a group of people systemically discriminated against, and reduced to nothing more than a pay-packet? Where is the word sorry for repeating the atrocities of the past? It has been said, like a paraphrase of the old system, and to reiterate, “…it has been found, in a court that you are not represented in, that for the benefit of your child, you will not raise them…” How are men not represented in a court that has predominately male judges? Well, it is not certainly their peer group. How many blue-collar men are actively recruited to work at the court other than as guards, let alone employed to give decisions on where children go? No, the decision making is left to university educated individuals. Individuals with the majority of their self-experience of the struggle of modern-day blue-collar males, being their meetings in the court, where the men are under extreme duress. It is not just the court, it is also a state-run social system, ran by a populist mob, with a populist rhetoric all its own. To herd the sheeple, all you need to know are the trigger words, trigger words which enable you to dog whistle the submissive into position. With most separations happening in lower socio-economic groups, there is a chasm between the have, and the have nots. That chasm extends to where the have nots children end up doing their domestic service, or labouring jobs for the rich, and it is starkly statistically evident. Yes, just like the first stolen generation, the stolen children are prepared for a life of service. A life of service to those considered better than them. On the modern-day mission, constructed of state sanctions, is a subsidised commission house, the state subsidised school, the state subsidized childcare, state subsidized health care, and state subsidized and promoted single parent further education. Under this system of reward, where is the incentive to allow children to grow up in close, and constant contact, with their father? The result is state built expectations for the dreams of the children involved. As a parent, Martin Luther King may have had a dream for his children, but in Australia, if you are blue collar, the state does it for you, not the parents. They will on average, never go onto receive equality of opportunity, when it comes to raising their children. Fathers that are someone’s son, uncle, nephew, grandfather, brother, and father, will never see feminism’s final objective, when it comes to equality of opportunity. Because it currently does not exist and has not existed. At lower wages, and lower salaries, there is no financial incentive for a woman to stay with the father of her children. The only incentive is that her children will be statistically less likely to go to jail, and or have better social outcomes on average if she stays with her male partner. Ironically, this does not seem to be enough. The fact is, the math is simple, and commonly known in the lower socioeconomic groups of both woman and men. The subsidies push for a separation of the family. The accounting is not hard, and it is in gross favour of the destruction of the family unit.

The result of this neo feminist abuse in the name of feminism, has resulted in most men who separate from their partners being denied the human right, of raising their children. For some men it is deprived even on a part time basis. Most will have their children taken away from them by the state, one way, or another. With what is a rebirth of the processes of the old Aboriginal state protectorate board, children are stolen regardless of race from their parents. It is done under the guise that it is for the benefit of both the children and society. It is part of the state propagated and sponsored system, and it is backed by the social sciences. What type of science relies on statistical outliers for the absolute stifling via political debate on the subject? Given the growth of jails, jails first filled with the males of the first stolen generation, that now filled with males of the second stolen generations, when will this process of child abduction be admitted, that it is an unmitigated failure by the social sciences. If it cannot be seen for what it graphically is, what would be the motives for this? If the plan were to have as many men in jail as possible, they have backed the proverbial winner. If the plan were to produce as many single mothers as possible, they could not have tried harder or been much more successful. How can the raising of children be reduced to political catch phrases, catch phrases that site statistical outliers as the average or the norm? It has produced a state sanctioned system, that with huge sweeps of the political and social broad sword, has decimated the functioning of Australian family units. So, who was put to the metaphoric sword for crimes they did not commit, denied basic human rights, that where legitimized with legal judgments? Legal judgments that ended in deaths for many of those subjected to their mandates? And to be utterly factious. Who would have thought that stealing or abducting a person’s child, or children, would drive so many to commit suicide? If death was an all-too-common outcome, did this new process become a process of statistically generated murder, or wilful collateral damage. Was this the cost for an objective that did not and does not serve the greater good of society? Add in a social narrative, where the patriarchy is responsible for all the world’s past evils, and it becomes highly ironic, that the reality is, that many Aboriginal missions were staffed by mostly woman, and that most schools are currently staffed by a majority of woman. Do not let the labelling or othering misdirect you though, all you need to do is just do a few substitutions for the new perpetrators of the new stolen generation, and you will get the picture. And it should be noted, that trying to find out the number of women involved in the first stolen generation is another statistic that the internet seems to have put off the search engine radar. How many women were involved or were instigators in both stolen generations? Well, the internet does not seem to have a number. It is essentially a narrative omission, one that suits a university spread historical take on the evils of colonialism and the patriarchy. I suppose the women involved where just following orders? An excuse that Nazi prison guards of the World War two death camps where not allowed to use. What will be the excuse, when it is widely recognised, that a second stolen generation has occurred? Who will be blamed, and who will say sorry? And when will it be admitted that the children of the second stolen generation suffer just like the first.

The ethical and moral dilemma did not end there, it has turned into a veritable sexual, and reproductive Smorgasbord, with one in five woman having children to more than one father in the west. Just turn the lazy Suzanne past the not so tasty ones. Males once catered for in the antiquated old system of marriage, are not so much anymore. More concerning was, and is, the beath of blood lines, with some men fathering many children to many women, and some men fathering none. These males are among the unseen, and not so readily available statistics, of state sanctioned or generated genocide. A genocide of undesirable breeding males? Why would these statistics be hard to find? It must be unpopular to count the numbers of dead males, and to attribute those dead people a cause of death, let alone to count, all the millions of children, and their descendance, that have been adversely affected. Why would a university, which teaches the universal evil of males, instruct about the abuses inflicted on males? Who will pay for those statistics on crimes against humanity to be generated, and who will make them publicly available? What arts faculty which preaches ad verbatim the evils of the patriarchy, will disseminate those statistics? When will relevant word searches find or highlight those statistics, without wading through irrelevant internet search results, search results carefully worded about the inadequacies of men? Search results, not related to the theft of their children, and the death of those fathers. Men who were someone’s son.

Considering the worst-case scenario is like reading the communist manifesto, of Marx, with a few modern twists. Was it a deliberate act by those in positions of power to create a new proletariat class, and have them used as statistical cannon fodder? Was it a heinous statisticians act to use expendable males in a new form of class warfare? Class warfare where they were written off, and culled with hidden statistics? If the males did not like it, will they be given a metaphoric white feather like those that were non-combatants of the first world war? Ridiculed for their lack of new age moral stoicism? Just like a war, the theft of children has caused many men to die. And to ask a rhetorical question. Does that number exceed some of the West’s modern wars?

The theft of children has undoubtably once again caused a deprivation of human rights, in a systemic process, of state sanctioned discrimination. More children than the number who suffer a process of state sanctioned, and state subsidised bastardisation of their children have been affected. Is it systemic state sanctioned discrimination? Yes. And just like the first stolen generation we are seeing a higher incidence of crime and incarceration produced. Additionally, like the first stolen generation, we also see education standards dropping. As a result of the enforcement of this new well-meaning sate sanctioned atrocity, those that instigate and enforce it via law, do it without due regard for the on average poorer outcomes that it produces for all families. For if they cared, why would they keep doing something they know fails. Why would they keep applying dogma, that on average fails to produce good outcomes? It is yet another well-meaning state system that has failed. In the process of its production, they did not shatter the nuclear family; they attacked or mutated all types of families in the west. And like most cellular mutations they were predominantly unfavourable mutations; mutations that resulted in a cancer or a sickness. Is this what has become of the feminist movement? The destruction of the family unit, replaced by the pseudo utopian fallacy that a village raises a child? It made me consider the satirical proposition. Where is this magical Smurf village? In a world where mega cities contain approximately half of the world’s population? Cities so large, that they metaphorically step over the living dead in the street. Where is the humanity in this lie, a lie that sees children once again stolen from their parents? Children stolen from their parents for their best interests, and for the greater good.

Is this what feminism has become? Not equality of opportunity like my grandmother taught me, but a process where the males in neo feminists societies pay disproportionality for the privileges of males and females they were never to be included in the lives of? And do those newly acquired rights, include the ability to destroy the lives on average of those stolen children? The rhetorical question is, did a minority of men and the majority of woman gain rights in a finite system, and thus take away justice from the innocent males in their own families? Did they gain their freedoms by taking away rights from someone else’s male children, including their own? What has happened, does not even approach equality of outcome, let alone equality of opportunity. For if that was the objective of neo feminism, it has failed! There is no equality in a system that steals children from their parents, and then sees the children on average worse off.

With the race now on to hit fourteen billion, l asked the question who will be allowed to breed when we hit that number? Will it be the children of broken families? Families that on average show a higher chance of both having poor social outcomes, and being burdens on society? Did they, (they, being those that help set up this democratically undebatable hot potato,) know selective breeding will or must happen, and did they not inform the public? If they are not truthful and forth right with the public, how does, or will, democracy work? How will democracy function, when its most fundamental asset its citizens, cannot make an informed decision? When will informed consent be allowed, and thus given? And was, or has informed consent been taken away from lower socio-economic sons, fathers, uncles, brothers, and grandfathers? It is a rhetorical question, as how can they consent when they have no other option? Consent cannot be given when only one option is presented. Without informed consent the neo feminists have done exactly that, they have taken away informed consent. For some men, or sons, it is a death sentence. For some families it is a form of genocide, with no chance of their males having male children.

In this now neo feminist western world, is every position of power to be held or filled with a failed neo feminist? One that expects the freedoms they push for, to be paid for by someone other than themselves? Is not that a variation of the old class system? Are all positions of power to be held by a social engineering arts degree holder, as opposed to the mathematician, scientist, or the no academic? Modern day neo feminism has become not about gaining equal personal rights and freedoms like traditional feminism wanted, but taking those rights away from others, and having others pay for those newly acquired rights. It was a finite system, and once equality was exceeded in the family court, it was boys and men in families that paid the price. They paid for it by becoming involuntary subjects in an experiment, an unethical experiment. It saw them become indentured labourers, or logic gated like cattle, for both breeding and function. As a result, they have had their children stolen on mass. Logically it forced me to think of a foul consideration if l had a son, the consideration was, “would I like the chance that my son was to be considered a steer, a steer in a cattle yard, presented with little choice but the slaughter gate in a system that is manifestly designed not to serve them?” Or do we, including me, believe he whomever he is, as in your son, my son, is, or will be, the breeding bull? This degradation of human rights, involving the theft of children, has become about men paying for those newly acquired breeding powers of the state. Not the breeding powers of females. And it has seen many men written off as genetically unworthy, financial burdens, and or unfashionably undesirable.

Who paid for this power transfer? In the majority in the west, and to reiterate ad nauseum once again, it was the brothers, the sons, the fathers, the uncles, and the grandfathers, of lower income families. Who does it tax? Mostly, new sons. And who is most likely to die? Mostly, new sons. Just like in the world wars. Recently it was repeatedly and publicly stated in the US, that society should be about emotive feelings and not mathematics. In that math less future that selectively counts the dead, have the West’s female neo feminists and their male sycophants become the ultimate narcissists? What used to be about the feelings of the majority as in democracy, has become the feelings of a minority, and the majority are not being served. And to sight the doctrine of Engels and Marx, there is an oppressor and the repressed. Not so ironically Engels and Marx where right, the ruling class can and sometimes do become the oppressors. Just like the first stolen generation, those in power, took the children away from the those with no power, and the market economy that produced both these travesties was politics. And just like the first stolen generation the second stolen generation are used for sex, and bred like cattle, by those in positions of power. Was this all done in the name of so-called reproductive and sexual freedom? To produce on mass, a modern-day proletariat class. Was it done for feminist rights? Who were these new freedoms for? Freedoms that with absolute mathematical certainty will end unless Musk and Co can find us a new planet? What a dark period in history it will be remember as. What type of blindness sees the facade of reproductive freedom used so that breeding in all countries will be eventually limited, to a certain few. If we extrapolate for its occurrence, it is already happening. And who will be this breeding few? Do the people instigating this system think it is them? In a derivation of Marx and Engle’s conversation on economy, the ruling class no longer deal in money, they deal in children. And if the ruling class’s children are competing against the children of single mothers, they statistically have a better chance of attaining positions of power over them. But unlike the old class system, as identified by Marx and Engels, those classed as better in the future, will have an increased chance of breeding if it comes down to an engineered fallacy of social or genetic merit. Future breeding events may not ironically include neo feminist blood lines regardless of their families’ countries of origin or race. Are these people and their political associates’ regardless of sex, poor at mathematics? Do they believe that they are the chosen ones, as they surround themselves with sycophants, in an echo chamber?

How quickly, these persecuted pacifists or people of peace, have ascended to positions of power. But if we are permitted, or allowed, to count the dead, or those in prison, they are far from peaceful, nor powerless. Despite the numbers of the dead, and the sure failure of their new breeding system, the fallacy of reproductive freedom is still being sold and wielded by neo feminists. Like snake oil salespeople they and their political associates sell it as one of the panaceas for all the world’s problems. But wholistically, it is a betrayal of their families, themselves, and especially their sons. If they say they cannot do exponential population growth extrapolations, they are either lying or incompetent. It produces a graph, one that l have been instructed at university level, will end at a very blunt fourteen billion. Provided that the narcissist neo feminist’s mirror has an immediate sexual gratification, who should care about the brutal reality of maths, and what will most certainly happen? Provided someone other than mothers pay for the raising of their children, l suppose it is clear sailing till we hit an iceberg, an iceberg that is the size of a mountain sitting in plain sight. An iceberg with two thirds of its body hidden below the surface of the water. An iceberg, hidden in the dark unnoticed due to hard to acquire statistics, and unavailable definitive finite numbers. And to paraphrase Edward John Smith, (the captain of the Titanic), it is “…full steam ahead…”, “…this ship is unsinkable…”, while the rich danced, and the poor where locked in the lower decks to drown.

At dawn one morning, Jesus went to the temple to teach. The people gathered round, ready to be taught — but the Pharisees rushed up, bringing a woman with them.

Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery,” they said. — John 8:4

My heart catches at the thought of what this woman must have been feeling. Can you imagine her fear? And above all, her humiliation? Caught in the act, yanked from under the covers, dragged through the streets under the stares of her neighbors. Was she covering her face, crying, pleading, silent? We don’t know. But she had to be aware that there would be no erasing the damage now done to her reputation, that she would from this day forward be the subject of whispers and fodder for the town gossips. She had, after all, been caught in the act. She had violated the law.

We know nothing of what may have driven her to this. Was she a repeat offender? Had she been seduced, perhaps even pressured or forced, by an unscrupulous man? Did she give in, in a moment of weakness, to something that she thought might bring her some relief in a loveless marriage? The Bible doesn’t say. What led her to commit adultery is not the point of the story, but rather Jesus’ response to her when her shameful adultery was publicly exposed.

We cannot help but notice that only the woman was brought before Jesus. Isn’t someone conspicuously missing from the scene? Apparently, only the woman — not her lover — was considered enough of an offender to be brought to the temple for immediate judgment. For a woman, adultery was not just a cause of deep shame but also potentially a capital offense.

The Pharisees challenged Jesus:

In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do You say? — John 8:5

The Bible doesn’t leave any doubt about what these men were attempting to do. This wasn’t a matter of wanting to adhere to the purest interpretation of justice according to the law. They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing Him (John 8:6). This woman was their bait. Would Jesus give a nod to stoning her, or disregard the law? Either way, they must have thought, we win.

Jesus didn’t take the bait. And notice how cleverly He distracted the attention of the crowd from the humiliated woman; He knelt and wrote on the ground with His finger. Imagine the crowd’s puzzlement as they watched Him. The Pharisees probably looked at each other, confused, and remained silent for a few moments to see whether He would speak. When He didn’t, they began assaulting Him with questions again, and eventually He stood and uttered the lines that have echoed through the minds of people of conscience ever since:

Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her. — John 8:7

And He knelt and wrote on the ground again.

What was it that he was writing on the ground? A list of the sins of those who stood in judgment? The name of the missing man? It would be fascinating to find out, but that’s not what impresses me most about these verses. I find it a measure of Jesus’ mercy toward the woman that, once again, He draws all eyes away from her and toward Himself as He knelt.

I try to imagine myself in the woman’s place, dragged from the warmth of a bed with perhaps just time enough to snatch a garment or a blanket before being hauled through the streets to stand before Jesus and a hostile, glaring, condemning crowd, already hefting their stones. But for a few precious moments, she senses that no one is looking at her. All eyes are on Jesus. He has interceded for her already—and He hasn’t said anything to her yet. As He would one day soon on the cross, He has taken all her shame and humiliation on Himself and given her a respite.

As if this weren’t relief enough, what happened next must have astonished her even more. The crowd of people began to drift away—“the older ones first,” the Bible tells us (John 8:9).

Jesus didn’t stand until the crowd had dispersed. Then He turned to the woman and said,

Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you? — John 8:10

Don’t you imagine it was with equal parts relief and amazement that she said, “No one, sir.”

Have you ever wondered how God reacts when you fall into sin? Then listen to these gentle words of Jesus and let them echo in your heart:

Then neither do I condemn you. Go now and leave your life of sin. — John 8:11

We don’t know whether any other women were present in the temple courts to witness this exchange, but even if not, surely there were women who witnessed the woman being dragged through the streets by the Pharisees. How grateful and appreciative they must have felt toward this man who actually protected her and showed compassion, as no other men—including, apparently, the man who’d been sleeping with her — were doing.

Women Are Not “Less Than”

One could argue that the woman was brought for judgment because of her sin, but that would be only partly true. If justice had been the real goal, then the man would have been charged as well. No, this woman was guilty of the crime of being a woman caught in adultery.

If that sounds like an exaggeration, it wasn’t one by much in first-century Israel. Women in that culture were second-class citizens at best, akin to slaves. Men had complete authority over their wives and daughters and made all decisions regarding relationships and activities. The Mishnah, part of the Jewish Talmud, taught that women were like Gentile slaves and could be obtained by intercourse, money, or written contract. Women had few rights inside the home and practically none outside of it. They were not counted as members during a synagogue count, and received little or no religious education, except from their husband if he so desired. Men were discouraged from speaking to women on the street.

First-century Palestine — the world into which Jesus was born — was clearly a male-dominated society, but it certainly hasn’t been the only one. I can point out another one from personal experience: Greek culture. In the Greek family I was raised in, I felt that because I was neither the firstborn nor a son, I was somehow “less than.” “You’re only a woman,” I was told in so many ways — and it was crystal clear that this was not a good thing.

Nowhere in my experience has the denigration of women been clearer as in our work through A21 to rescue sex-trafficked women. In one court case, the accused was asked by the judge, “Why do you traffic women?”

The man shrugged. “They are easier to traffic than drugs and guns,” he said. “The penalty is not as harsh, and you can kick them like an animal, and they will do what you want them to do.”

Misogyny. It’s an ugly word — the hatred of women or girls. It comes to us through governments, cultures, religions, and nations. We’d like to think that it’s something that happens elsewhere, far away, or a long time ago. But no other word describes so precisely the attitude of the trafficker on trial that day, nor of the industry he represents. And it shows up in many other ways as well, from jokes — have you ever heard a blonde joke about a dumb blond man? — to pornography, to the difficulty a woman has getting equal pay for equal work, to the ease with which crimes against women are ignored or covered up.

Women are denigrated as often in modern society as they were in ancient cultures.

Two children are sold into the human sex trade every minute. Nearly two million children are forced into the worldwide sex trade every year.1 And 80 percent of all trafficking victims are women and girls.2 According to the United Nations, there are one hundred million women missing worldwide 3 — and five thousand girls are murdered around the world every year by their parents for acting in ways that shame their family.4

The history of our world — all periods of history, all continents, all cultural traditions — is rampant with damage, oppression, diminishment, contempt, and hostility aimed at women. Just think of the Salem witch trials, for example. Even today, women are stoned to death for adultery in India and Pakistan; they are raped and sold as slaves in Syria. And the men who perpetrate these horrendous acts are excused with religious theology. In every case, in every century, women have been targets. I see this same kind of evil played out in A21 court cases all the time.

Of all places on earth, the Christian church could be the most significant place of healing and hope — the place where women experience the joys of being respected, appreciated, esteemed, included, and celebrated. After all, God Himself made women in His own image —

Male and female He created them. — Genesis 1:26–27, emphasis added

What a profound thought: God’s image is only fully reflected in both man and woman.

When we denigrate a woman, we are in fact diminishing part of the image of God. When we exclude women, we exclude part of God. When we put women down, we tarnish the image of God.

Psalm 139:13 tells us,

You knit me together in my mother’s womb.

God took just as much time and care knitting together every female child as He did every male child. Male and female are equally loved and valued by Him. Paul wrote to the Galatians stating this very point:

There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. — Galatians 3:28, emphasis added

In Christ, there is no distinction in value between male and female.

No one dignifies, affirms, and celebrates women like the God of the Bible. Therefore, it should be the church that leads the way and sets the example of placing value upon womanhood... of getting them to Jesus, who can lift their shame and set them free.

Main points:

- Nothing should be taken out of context. If you remove the context from text, you can completely alter the meaning. This is what happened when religious clergymen tried to defame Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi by manipulating the text of his book, ‘Rouhani Safar’.

- The Quran does not talk about violence. When it talks about killing, it is in relation to punishment of the wicked ones and mischief mongers who wanted to destroy the religion of Islam while it was being established. It is about awarding punishment, just as those found guilty in the court of law are sentenced to jail in civil society.

- The Chapter Anfal was revealed during the Battle of Badr, when pagans of Mecca attacked the Prophet Mohammad and his companions in Medina. The pagans were not Christians, Jews or Hindus; they were those whose religion was Arab nationalism.

- Prophet Mohammad was dragged into this battle; it was done in self-defence. He and his men totalled only 313 while the attackers were 1000 in number. His attackers had weapons and were riding horses and camels. Most of the Muslims did not have sufficient weapons and were not riding any horses or camels.

- There was a clear disadvantage for Prophet Mohammad during this battle. He and his companions were outnumbered greatly. Therefore, he asked God for help. This is when God replied, ‘I will cast terror into the hearts of the disbelievers.’ This was how God helped Prophet Mohammad, by making the enemies fearful and evening the odds.

- This verse was revealed for the battlefield only. It does not encourage Muslims to kill or terrorise anyone. Before commenting on verses from any divine book, you must be aware of the background information. Anyone manipulating this verse to suggest it promotes terrorism is a perpetrator who is playing with the words of God.

Bomb shelter 307. Spanish Civil War 1936/1939, Poble Sec, Barcelona.

Shelter 307 is one of the bomb shelters that were built during the Spanish Civil War to protect the population from the indiscriminate bombing to which Barcelona was subjected. It was excavated thanks to the efforts of the population of the Poble Sec district. It is one of the more than 1,000 bomb shelters built in Barcelona during the Spanish Civil War, and is a good example of passive defence in the city, in which the Republican Army, the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Government), the City Council and the people of Barcelona all played a part.

The shelter has three entrances onto Nou de la Rambla street, and comprises nearly 400 metres of tunnels, with a height of 2.10 metres and a width of between 1.5 and 2 metres. It has a number of different facilities, including a toilet, a water fountain, an infirmary, a children's room and a fireplace. Visitors can imagine the anguish suffered by the people of the city during the Civil War, when they were forced to face a new phenomenon: the bombing of the civil population, a military practice that had only been briefly tried out during the First World War, and the fact that Barcelona was being used as a test city for the bombing of civilians that would perpetrated during the Second World War in the rest of Europe.

Shelter 307 is one of the finest examples of a bomb shelter built in Barcelona, and has now also become a veritable memorial to the people's struggle to survive in the face of adversity.

Prison Montluc – 3e arrondissement de Lyon

Built in 1921 - on the ground of an old fortification - Montluc served as a prison for the military court district of Lyon. It was notably used as a campus prison for the Institut Franco-Chinois. Students, most of them of chinese origin, were imprisoned and prepared for deportation , after strikes and protests on the campus.

From 1939 to 1940 Montluc was activated as a military prison. Many inmates were members of the French communist party (Parti Communiste Français), which got banned in France as a result of the Molotov–Ribbentrop pact.

From 1940 to 1942 the prison operated for Vichy France. Imprisoned were regular inmates, military prisoners and perpetrators of "anti-national activities" - mainly from gaullist and communist resistance. Following the allied landings in North Africa, the German army occupied Vichy France in November 1942. The Germans requisitioned the prison and placed it under the exclusive control of the SS & Gestapo.

The Nazis used the prison as the principal processing centre for the entire south-eastern part of France. From there, members of the resistance and other political detainees were transported by rail to prison camps in Compèigne and later Romainville in northern France. Jews were sent first by regular passenger trains to Drancy internment camp near Paris and then in cattle wagons to extermination camps in Germany and Poland. Others were simply taken away and shot.

However, the Gestapo couldn't keep pace with its interrogation, deportation and mass execution, so Montluc received many more detainees than there were leaving. As the prison population rose - eventually to about 1200 - single occupancy was no longer an option and up to eight people were crammed into cells less than 4m² in size. All furniture was removed and the prisoners forced to sleep on the ground. They were allowed out for ten minutes a day, there was a single slop-bucket per cell and certainly no privacy. The food consisted of watery soup, a chunk of bread a day and coffee substitute. Up to 100 prisoners were lodged in what had previously been the refectory, some even in the showers, while possibly as many as 200 Jews were crammed into a 30 meter long and 6 meter wide wooden barrack in the courtyard, with space for no more than about 70-80. The furnishings inside the so-called "Jews' Barrack" consisted mainly of three-level bunk beds not dissimilar to those found in German concentration camps.

Montluc Prison was liberated by forces of the French resistance on 24 August 1944 and then served to detain French and German war collaborators.

From 1954 on, the prison was used during the Franco-Algerian war for members of the Algerian National Liberation Front (Front de libération nationale, FLN) and MNA (Mouvement National Algérien). A dozen were executed after being refused a pardon by Charles de Gaulle. In 1955, a decree declared that all death penalties in Lyon be carried out at Montluc, whether by firing-squad or guillotine.

Montluc’s last death-row inmate was executed in 1972.

1983 - After his expulsion from Bolivia, Klaus Barbie (“the butcher of Lyon”) returned to Montluc, this time as a prisoner. The charges included the murder of the “Children of Izieu” and other brutal crimes against humanity, commited from his headquarter, the hotel Terminus in Lyon, where he served as head of the “Abteilung IV” for the Gestapo and SD during the German occupation of Lyon.

1997-2009 the prison operated as a civil women’s prison, until it was shut in 2009.

Despite plans to destroy the site after its closure, it is now a place of commemoration and a museum.

The Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice in Romania has formally acknowledged the war crimes complaint filed by the Hind Rajab Foundation against Israeli soldier Orel Benyaish, a member of the 432nd Battalion of the Givati Brigade. The complaint, submitted on behalf of the Foundation by attorney Elena Lazăr, has been referred to the Military Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Bucharest Military Court of Appeal for further examination.

The legal action concerns Benyaish’s alleged involvement in the intentional destruction of civilian property during Israel’s military operations in Gaza, including the demolition of the homes in the Nuseirat camp on 12 November 2024. The complaint is based on documented open-source material, including videos and photographs posted by the accused on social media, which appear to show direct participation in and endorsement of the destruction of civilian infrastructure.

The submission is grounded in both Romanian domestic law—specifically Articles 438 and 441 of the Romanian Penal Code, which criminalize genocide and war crimes against property—and relevant international legal instruments, including the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and the Geneva Conventions, to which Romania is a party.

In a written communication, Romanian authorities confirmed that the materials submitted by the Hind Rajab Foundation were officially registered and forwarded to the competent military prosecution authority for further processing.

Legal Context and Next Steps

The complaint also includes references to broader patterns of destruction in Gaza, particularly the use of the Netzarim Corridor as part of a strategy that has resulted in widespread displacement and destruction of civilian areas. Reports by Forensic Architecture and various international observers are cited in support of these claims.

In light of the open-source evidence and Romania’s international obligations, the Foundation has called on Romanian authorities to consider preventive measures, including placing the suspect on a travel watchlist, initiating the confiscation of digital evidence, and opening a formal investigation.

The Hind Rajab Foundation welcomes the decision by Romanian authorities to treat this matter with the seriousness it warrants and to act in accordance with international legal standards.

Bucharest, March 31, 2025:

Today, the Hind Rajab Foundation, through its legal representative, has filed a criminal complaint before the Romanian Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice against Orel Benyaish, an Israeli soldier from the 432nd Battalion of the Givati Brigade. He is accused of committing war crimes and acts of genocide during Israel’s ongoing military operations in the Gaza Strip.

The evidence submitted includes images and videos posted by Benyaish himself, showing his direct involvement in the destruction of residential buildings in the Netzarim corridor—a heavily targeted area where thousands of Palestinian civilians were forcibly displaced. He appears in uniform, smiling in front of homes rigged with explosives. In these same images is fellow soldier Yuval Vagdani, also of the Givati Brigade, who was photographed in the moment explosives were being placed for a controlled demolition. The two acted together, knowingly and deliberately, in destroying civilian homes without any military justification.

This is not a matter of battlefield tragedy. It is the calculated and boastful destruction of civilian life, carried out with impunity and celebrated in social media posts. The detonation, which reduced entire homes to rubble, is not only a war crime under international humanitarian law—it is an expression of genocidal intent. These actions were not part of legitimate combat. They were designed to humiliate, terrorize, and annihilate a people, in flagrant violation of the Geneva Conventions, the Rome Statute, and the most fundamental norms of human dignity.

Last December in Brazil, a judge issued a probe order against Yuval Vagdani for his role in this same crime. The Romanian complaint is therefore not isolated, but part of a broader international legal effort to end the impunity of soldiers who participate in the collective punishment and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian population.

Romania, as a party to the Rome Statute and the Geneva Conventions, bears not only the legal competence but the moral obligation to act. When war criminals walk freely on foreign soil, justice demands intervention. The principle of universal jurisdiction exists precisely for such moments—when those responsible for atrocities are beyond the reach of justice in their own countries.

The international community has long borne witness to the structural impunity enjoyed by Israeli military personnel. This impunity has emboldened perpetrators to commit unspeakable crimes—openly, proudly, and without fear of consequence. It is time for this cycle to end.

We call on Romanian authorities to take urgent action: to launch a full criminal investigation, to prevent the suspect from leaving the country, to secure all relevant digital and physical evidence, and to cooperate with other jurisdictions pursuing related cases. Anything less would be a betrayal of the legal and ethical commitments that bind all nations in the defense of humanity.

Justice must not remain hostage to political considerations.

When the machinery of state is used to carry out acts of ethnic destruction, it falls on all people of conscience, and all states of law, to say: not in our name.

This was the 1st time I had ever seen a white Pheasant, so a little bit of Googling later and I now know a little bit more about them.

Because they are more easily identified in cover than their better camouflaged brethren, many shoots in the UK purposely release hand-reared white pheasants with their shooting stock.

Gamekeepers use the white birds to identifying where their game birds are and to track their movement patterns around the estate.

Because of their usefulness, Gamekeepers are not keen on their white birds being shot by Guns on driven or walked up days. They often offer the white birds “diplomatic immunity” by making a statement in the shoot brief that they are not to be engaged under any circumstances.

In the situation where a Gun does have a lapse in their bird recognition skills and shoots a white bird, a significant monetary fine is usually imposed on the guilty party with the proceeds going to a nominated charity. The guaranteed ribbing that the perpetrator will undoubtedly receive from their fellow Guns for the remainder of the day and most likely for the remainder of the season and possibly their entire shooting career, may be considered by some as double punishment.

Ebru, marbled paper: Put the paste into a tub of the size of your paper. Now you drip fluid colors on the surface of the paste. Paint on the water with needles, your fingers, blast pipes and so on.

Then you put the flat paper on the water. Wait a little bit, that the paper sucks the colors and then take the paper out of the water.

Globalization of McDonalds

A person, group, or nation having great influence or control over others is defined as having power (dictionary.com). In the minds of most it is the political leaders and governments have power over the people. However, many institutions and business corporations we may not think of also hold a lot of the world’s power. Unfortunately, through globalization corporations such as McDonalds are attempting to Americanize the whole world. Human societies across the globe have established progressively closer contacts over many centuries, but recently the pace has dramatically increased. Jet airplanes, cheap telephone service, email, computers, huge oceangoing vessels, instant capital flows, all these have made the world more interdependent than ever. Multinational corporations manufacture products in many countries and sell to consumers around the world. Money, technology and raw materials continually move across national borders. Along with products and finances, ideas and cultures circulate more freely. As a result, laws, economies, and social movements are forming at the international level. Many politicians, academics, and journalists treat these trends as both inevitable and welcomed. But for billions of the world’s people, business-driven globalization means uprooting old ways of life and threatening livelihoods and cultures. The global social justice movement, itself a product of globalization, proposes an alternative path, more responsive to public needs. Intense political disputes will continue over globalization’s meaning and its future direction. (www.globalpolicy.org/globaliz/define/index.htm)

The biggest multinational companies are very rich. Of the 100 biggest economies in the world, just over half are companies rather than whole countries. The 200 biggest companies control a quarter of all the world’s trade. These 200 companies have more than half the economic power over four billion people. Multinational companies, like all companies, want to make profits. Their profits will be affected by the level of taxes in a country, how well skilled the workforce is, how easy it is to find sites to build factories, and even how strong a country's currency is. This means governments will think carefully about their economic policies. For example, a multinational may decide to close a factory in one country because it is cheaper to make its products in another. This can mean hundreds or thousands of jobs will be lost. It can mean that countries have a tendency to weaken rules about working conditions in order to attract multinational investment. In less developed countries dependence on multinational companies for investment and jobs is proportionately even greater. In these countries employees often work harder, for less money and in poorer conditions. Because of the importance of the companies, governments in these countries may be less willing to press for better wages and working conditions for their workers.

In poor countries vast areas of land are used for cash crops or for cattle ranching, or to grow grain to feed animals to be eaten in the West. This is at the expense of local food needs. McDonald's continually promote meat products, encouraging people to eat meat more often, which waste more and more food resources. According to the London Green Peace Group some 'Third World' countries, where most children are undernourished, are actually exporting their staple crops as animal feed to fatten the cattle being into burgers in the 'First World'. Millions of acres of the best farmland in poor countries are being used for United State’s benefit by means of tea, coffee, and tobacco, while people there are starving. McDonald's is directly involved in this economic imperialism, which keeps 7 million tons of grain fed to livestock produces only 1 million tons of meat and by-products. On a plant-based diet and with land shared fairly, almost every region could be self-sufficient in food (www.animalfrontline.nl/macdonalds-eng.php). McDonalds not only effects the economic position of people in foreign countries, but it also affects American ranches and McDonald’s employees economically.

McDonald's comes in, saying that the brand will bring many jobs. Beef producers, flourishing for years, now have McDonald's as their only market. In 1968, McDonald’s bought ground beef from 175 local suppliers. A few years later, seeking to achieve greater product uniformity as it expanded, McDonalds reduced the number of beef suppliers to five. In the United States many ranchers now argue that few large corporations have gained stranglehold on the market using unfair tactics to drive down the price of cattle (Schlosser, 134). The four major meatpacking companies now control about 20 percent of the live cattle in the US through “captive supplies” cattle that are either maintained in company owned feedlots or purchased in advance. When cattle prices start to rise, the large meatpackers can flood the market with their own captive supplies driving prices back down. The suicide rate among ranchers and farmers in the United States is now about three times higher than the national average. A 1996 USDA investigation of concentration in the beef industry found that many ranchers were afraid to testify against the large meatpacking companies, fearing retaliation and “economic ruin.” When Mike Callicrate, a cattleman from St. Francis Kansas, decided to speak out against corporate behavior before the USDA committee, the large meatpackers promptly stopped bidding on his cattle (Schlosser, 143)

Outside the United States, Jamaicans not allowed to use cancer-causing agents in their burgers. McDonald's imports the beef from a country or free zone where cancer can legally go into the food. Therefore Jamaican beef producers have no market, and cannot export so the business dies. People line up at McDonald's for cancer, driven by global advertising. No native farming, no native products, nothing left but McDonald's.

According to George Ritzer, “The fundamental problem with McDonaldisation is that it's other people in the system structuring our lives for us, rather than us structuring our lives for ourselves…You don't want a creative person at the counter - that's why they are scripted. You don't want a creative hamburger cook - you want somebody who simply follows routines or follows scripts. No, you take all creativity out of work and turn it into a series of routine procedures that are imposed by some external force. That's the reason why it's dehumanizing... it turns human beings into human robots"

Not surprisingly staff turnover at McDonald's is high, making it virtually impossible to unionize and fight for a better deal, which suits McDonald's who have always been opposed to Unions. A recent survey of workers in burger-restaurants found that 80% said they needed union help over pay and conditions. McDonald's have a policy of preventing unionization by getting rid of pro-union workers. So far this has succeeded everywhere in the world except Sweden, and in Dublin after a long struggle Green Pease Group). In February of 1997 workers at a McDonald’s in St Hubert, Canada, applied to join the Teamsters union. More than three quarter of the crewmembers signed union cards, hoping to create the only unionized McDonalds in North America. Tom and mike Cappelli closed the McDonalds just weeks before the union was certified. This was not the first time this happened, during the early 1970s workers in Lansing Michigan were organizing a union. All the crewmembers were fired and the restaurant was shut down, a new McDonalds was build down the block and the unionizing workers were not rehired (Schlosser, 77)

As a global and national economic power, McDonalds negatively affects the lives of people in foreign countries as well as people in the United States. Because multinational companies want trade across the world to be free from restrictions as much as possible they are likely to use their influence with the World Trade Organization to get restrictions on manufacturing and trade reduced to a minimum. Is McDonalds so powerful that nothing can restrain the terror it forces upon the world’s people?

Globalization is political in the sense that the dominant powers insist on the adoption of certain versions of their policies and values for example, the adoption of liberal democracy and opening up of economies. This meant national states increasingly restructuring their position and their responsibilities in relation to both the global capitalism and to the local economies and societies. This tendency towards homogenization of politics seeks to form a world government with singular security, army, and judiciary branches with most of its important institutions located in the west. Globalization in this sense is referred to as hegemonisation (www.sidamaconcern.com/articles/globalisation.html).

Behind the smiling face of Ronald McDonald lurks a self-important and singularly determined multi-national corporation that wields serious power over national governments. McDonalds doesn't only convert its influence into political clout. It uses its dollars and donations to target the most vulnerable people in society. Ronald McDonald has a proven policy of suing the ass off of you or your employer, if you, as they put it, "tell lies about the company". McDonalds has even threatened to sue perfectly credible media institutions such as the BBC and the Guardian. This indicates that they are trying to stop the expression of free speech, a civil liberty, at least insofar as it affects their commercial operations. The list of media organizations that have been suppressed or pulped is growing (www.i-resign.com/uk/workinglife/viewarticle_33.asp).

In 1986, the London Green Peace group published a leaflet titled, "What's wrong with McDonalds". When the leaflet came to their attention, McDonalds demanded they retract the leaflet and its allegations or face court with the obvious possibility of a huge costs, they were denied legal aid, incurred by facing some of the top legal players money can buy. Two individuals from the group, Dave Morris, a postman, and Helen Steel, a gardener, felt they had no choice but to face McDonalds in court. On the 28th June 1994 the libel trial began in London and ended up becoming the longest ever seen in a British court. It's now known as the "McLibel" trial. The defendant's legal costs of £35,000 were met by generous donations by members of the public. On the 19th June 1997 McDonalds were awarded damages of £90,000 for certain items in the leaflet concerning the health implications of eating at a McDonalds restaurant and its role in Third World starvation and environmental damage, which remained 'not proven'. The Judge agreed that "McDonalds advertisements, promotions and booklets have pretended to a positive nutritional benefit which McDonald's food did not match" and that the firm "paid its workers low wages, thereby helping to depress wages for workers in the catering trade".

The current government is happy to let McDonalds participate in the education of the country's schoolchildren. In 1998, David Blunkett and Steven Byers, Ministers of State for education and industry, permitted the corporation to be a partner in the North Somerset Education action zone. In 1999, the National Year of Reading Received support in the form of branded lunchboxes. During the McLibel trial Dave Morris, claimed in court that the firm sees schoolchildren as the next generation of cheap labor as well as consumers. In summing up, the judge agreed that McDonalds influence on the young was remarkable, commenting that the fast food chain targets "susceptible young children to bring in custom, both their own and that of their parents".

McDonalds is so politically powerful that it can sue anyone and get away with it even if the information that they are suing over is true. Just because the information in the London Green Peace Group leaflet wasn’t proven true doesn’t mean it couldn’t be proven true. But the little people can never be correct when going up against the huge capital of the McDonalds Corporation.

Globalization also impacts cultures. It tends to promote homogeneity towards western and American values and influences. In this sense, some see globalization as westernization or even Americanization. They cite, among others, instances of expansion of coca cola, McDonalds, and the rock-and-roll music relayed by adverts, radio, and global satellite television. Such expansion, they argue, happens at the expense of local cultures that are the sources of diversities.

George Ritzer say, “I think that McDonald's has a profound effect on the way people do a lot of things I mean it leads people to want everything fast, to have, you know, a limited attention span so that kind of thing spills over onto, let's say, television viewing or newspaper reading, and so you have a short attention span, you want everything fast, so you don't have patience to read the New York Times and so you read McPaper, you read USA today. You don't have patience to watch a lengthy newscast on a particular issue so you watch CNN News and their little news McNugget kinds of things so it creates a kind of mindset, which seeks the same kind of thing in one setting after another. I see it in education where you have, in a sense, a generation of students who've been raised in a McDonaldised society, they want things fast, they want idealic nuggets from Professors, they don't want sort of slow build up of ideas, you gotta keep them amused, you gotta come in with the Ronald McDonald costume and quip a series of brilliant theoretical points or else they're going to turn you off” (www.mcspotlight.org/people/interviews/ritzer_george.html).

According to George Ritzer in other countries when going into a McDonalds, it's not just that you are buying a product, but you are buying into a system. In the 1940s there was a big flap in France over what was called a Coca Colonization. The French were very upset about the coming of Coca Cola to France. They felt it threatened the French wine industry and French way of life. But that was just the influx of an American product. Now, with McDonalds, we have the influx of an American way of life, which is to trivialize eating, to make it something that is fast, make it something that's to get done and over with. But it's striking to me that the last time I was in Paris the Parisians appeared to have embraced this kind of fast food phenomenon. You have developments of fast food croissanteries where this model French way of life and the croissanterie has been reduced to fast food. French bread is more and more treated on a fast basis rather than lots of local bakeries baking their own distinctive kind, so if the French succumb to this in the realm of food there is little that is safe from the expansion of this process.

Within this world, however, McDonalds has sufficient influence to actually change established dietary practices across whole regions. For example, according to "Behind the Arches", a book authorized by McDonalds in 1987, McDonalds in Japan faced a fundamental challenge of establishing beef as a common food. Their president Den Fujita stated “the reason Japanese people are so short and have yellow skins is because they have eaten nothing but fish and rice for two thousand years, if we eat McDonalds hamburgers and potatoes for a thousand years we will become taller, our skin become white and our hair blonde.” McDonalds also changed eating habits in Australia, Peter Ritchie, at the time McDonalds Australian president has stated he attributes “that change to the influence McDonalds has on children.” "Behind the Arches" concludes that rather than adapt to local tastes and preferences, “McDonalds’ foreign partners made major changes in marketing in order to sell the American system. Indeed, McDonalds is prepared to support such means as are necessary to sell the American system, the company supplies symbolic practical support and important ideological support to the military imperialism necessary for the onward march of mono-culture. For example, they provided food to US troops as a token of support for the genocide about to be perpetrated against the people of Iraq. (www.mwr.org.uk/justanother.htm)

McDonalds told Scottish sandwich bar owner, Mary Blair, that her shop in Fenny Stratford near Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, can no longer go by the name McMunchies because McDonald's is the registered user of the 'Mc' prefix, it emerged yesterday. Mrs. Blair, a 36 year-old Scot, who does not sell burgers or chips, said she chose the name because she liked the word "munchies" and wanted to add a taste of Scotland. The sign bears a Scottish thistle and a St Andrew's flag. But in a statement to Mrs. Blair's solicitors, said if someone, "either deliberately or unintentionally," used their trademark, they were “in effect using something that does not belong to them." The company that has quietly set about taking over the world ensuring that there is not a high street which does not feature its red and white sign and its golden arches, also the property of McDonald's, now wants to take over Britain's heritage. Telling the Scots that they cannot use the prefix Mc is like someone registering the name Singh and then ban its use in India. Where do they think Mc originated, Illinois? McDonald's say that the "unauthorized" use of the 'Mc' prefix may confuse the public." (www.mcspotlight.org/media/press/ind_24sep96.html)

McDonald's also affects culture in promoting their food as 'nutritious', but the reality is that it is junk food. It is high in fat, sugar and salt, and low in fiber and vitamins. A diet of this type is linked with a greater risk of heart disease, cancer, diabetes and obesity. Their food also contains many chemical additives, some of which may cause ill health, and hyperactivity in children. Meat is also the cause of the majority of food poisoning incidents. In 1991 McDonald's were responsible for an outbreak of food poisoning in the UK, in which people suffered serious kidney failure. With modern intensive farming methods, other diseases, linked to chemical residues or unnatural practices have also become a danger to people too.

As a global power McDonalds has negatively affected the world’s people economically, politically, and culturally. Criticism of McDonald's has come from a huge number of people and organizations over a wide range of issues. In the mid-1980's, London Greenpeace drew together many of those strands of criticism and called for an annual World Day of Action against McDonald's. This takes place every year on 16th October, with pickets and demonstrations all over the world. McDonald's, who spend a fortune every year on advertising, are trying to silence worldwide criticism by threatening legal action against those who speak out. Many have been forced to back down because they lacked the money to fight a case. Protests against the $30 billion a year fast-food giant continue to grow. The first step toward meaningful change is by far the easiest which is to stop buying it. They executives who run the fast food industry are not bad mean. They are business mean. WHERE WAS GOD?

How many of us have heard that question "Where was GOD when the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were attacked?" Well I know where GOD was the morning of September 11, 2001, and He was very busy!

He was trying to discourage anyone from taking these flights. Those four flights together held over 1000 passengers and there were only 266 aboard.

He was on 4 commercial flights giving terrified passengers the ability to stay calm. Not one of the family members who were called by a loved one on one of the hijacked planes said that passengers were screaming in the background. On one of the flights he was giving strength to passengers to try to overtake the hijackers.

He was busy trying to create obstacles for employees at the World Trade Center. After all, only around 20,000 were at the towers when the first jet hit. Since the buildings held over 50,000 workers, this was a Miracle in itself. How many of the people who were employed at the World Trade Center told the media that they were late for work or they had traffic delays.

He was holding up 2-110 story buildings so that 2/3 of the workers could get out. I was so amazed that the top of the towers didn't topple when the jets impacted. And when they did fall, they fell inward. GOD didn't allow them to topple over, as many more lives would have been lost.

And when the buildings went down, GOD picked up almost 6,000 of his children and carried them home with him. Reassuring his frightened children that the worst was over and the best was yet to come.

He sat down and cried that 19 of his children could have so much hate in their hearts; That they didn't choose him, but another God that doesn't exist, and now they are lost forever.

He sent his children that are best trained for this disaster and had them save the few that were still alive, but unable to help themselves. And then sent many others to help in anyway they were needed.

He still isn't finished though, He held the love ones that were left behind in His arms. He comforts them daily. His other children are given the strength to reach out to them and help them in any way they can.

So when anyone asks, "Where was GOD on September 11", you can say "everywhere"! And yes, although this is without a doubt the worst thing I have seen in my life, I see God's miracles in every bit of it.

United States marks fifth anniversary of 9/11

September 11, 2006

The fifth anniversary of the deadly terror attacks in the United States will be commemorated throughout the country with less emnity than previous anniversaries and some milestones. Construction is under way on memorials to the victims and on buildings replacing those destroyed in the attacks. Would-be perpetrator Zacarias Moussaoui is behind bars for life. Only the rankling knowledge that the self-acknowledged mastermind of the 9/11 terror plot, Osama bin Laden, is still at large and that the fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan shows no sign of being over soon are likely to spoil the comforting notion that the country is finally recovering from the 9/11 trauma.

And 2006 is the year the public has been deemed ready to see films about the attacks, with at least three feature-length films on one or another aspect of 9/11 screened around the country.

After four years of planning and squabbling over the future of Ground Zero, where the World Trade Center towers stood before they collapsed from the impact of the attacking jetliners, construction has started on the 1776-foot Freedom Tower. It's the first of five towers, which together will bring millions of square feet of office space to the site.

Construction has also begun on the World Trade Center Memorial Museum, an underground gallery of exhibits planned next to the memorial that marks the destroyed twin towers' footprints. The 110,000-square-foot underground museum is expected to be one of the most visited in the world when it opens in 2009. A still-contentious aspect of the project is the cost, estimated at US $1 billion, which could mean cost-cutting changes to the design along the way. The complex, with its pools, waterfalls and galleries, was the product of a worldwide design competition that drew 5,201 entries and inspired tremendous public passion but too few contributions to the cost.

And in Pennsylvania, where a fourth jetliner crashed in a field after 40 passengers and crew members overpowered hijackers targeting the Capitol or White House in Washington DC, families of the victims and state officials have received approval for funding for a permanent memorial at the site. Some US $5 million in federal funds will be set aside to buy the field.

One of the 9/11 films released in 2006, "Flight 93," is about the passengers' resistance to their captors. Directed by Oliver Stone, "World Trade Center" is about two Port Authority police officers who are among the last survivors pulled from the World Trade Center. And then there’s Sony’s “102 Minutes,” which re-creates the time span between Flight 11’s crash into the first tower and its collapse.

On May 3, after a four-year trial, prosecutors's failed to get the death sentence for Sep 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui. Several former officials said putting to death the only man convicted for a role in the 2001 attacks would not have boosted the fight against terrorism since he was only a tangential player in the plot.

Despite a global manhunt and a posted reward of millions of dollars, Osama bin Laden, leader of the Al-Qaeda terror network and self-acknowledged mastermind of the 9/11 plot, continues to elude capture. He is thought to be hiding in the mountainous region in Pakistan near the border of Afghanistan. Moussaoui's last public words after his verdict was pronounced warned Americans that they would never catch the Al-Qaeda leader.

I think this is the perfect photo for this day in Donald Trump history, a metaphor of corruption hiding behind the 'curtain' of public image.

This is a 1981 textile by the Colombian artist Beatriz González. This curtain was based on newspaper and television images of then President of Colombia Julio César Turbay Ayala. At the time the political leader was often shown enthusiastically drinking and dancing at high class parties, apparently obvious to the political upheaval on the streets below and the violence perpetrated by his own government.

Beatriz González worked with a textile factory to create a repeating pattern and ran off around 500 feet of curtain fabric. It was sold off by the yard creating both a marketable commodity and an affordable means of protest during an era of political unrest. Julio César Turbay Ayala left office the following year.

What happened three days ago is a very bad story, a 63-year-old man shot two women in the face, one 48 years old, the other 49 years old, and then took his own life, all of which happened in a town in the province of Catania, one of them allegedly had an extramarital affair with the killer: in 2022 120 women were killed, 97 of them were killed in the family or emotional sphere, of these 57 died for hand of the partner or former partner. This tragic and sad incipit linked to the ever-present drama of feminicides, to introduce the photographic story that I made in the town of Savoca (Messina - Sicily) on 08/13/2022, of a very particular representation that was held last time in August 2018; is a narration that pits Evil (a devil armed with a long grappling hook) against Good (Saint Lucia, who holds a silver palm leaf in her hands), the Evil-Devil tries to seduce-distract Saint Lucia with own grappling hook, instead Saint Lucia remains impassive in front of her flattery: violence against women in this very suggestive representation finds distant and deep roots, Saint Lucia actually represents those women who in medieval times had to suffer the abuses perpetrated by the Baron of Savoca nicknamed "Barone Altadonna", which making use of the law "ius primae noctis" (from the Latin "right of the first night"), referred to the "right" according to which a feudal lord could rape a newly married woman on her wedding night. Therefore, this is a photographic narration that speaks of the eternal struggle that takes place between good and evil, which speaks of a dark period of history, speaks of the violence suffered by women but also by those who belonged to the poorest social classes, historical facts that have been handed down to us in the form of a story and associated-transmuted in the martyrdom of Saint Lucia, this is what happens in the town of Savoca (Sicily). This is a report of the living representation of the martyrdom of Saint Lucia (patron saint of the city of Savoca); the cult of the young Saint of Syracuse seems to date back to the fifteenth century, under the influence of Spanish traditions. The living re-enactment of the history of St. Lucia takes place on two consecutive days, Saturday and Sunday: here I try to tell some moments of Saturday, the day during which the celebration does not take place in its full beauty, it is the day during which "the silver palm" is delivered "from the Lucia of the previous edition" to the "Lucia of the current edition", it is the day during which the last details are tested, above all the "impassivity of the little girl who impersonates Saint Lucia", lovingly called "the Lucia".. And 'This is a historical event which speaks of Demons and Angels: Saint Lucy refused to marry a rich and powerful suitor (Lucy declared She was married in Christ), which reported the Christian faith of Lucia to prefect Pascasio that ordered his Praetorian Guard to drag Lucia with a rope to a place of prostitution; legend has it that the Holy became heavy, they then tried to drag it with the help of oxen, but it was impossible to move it from where he stood; failing in this, it was then given the order to cavarle eyes, but the young martyr (native of Syracuse) her eyes reappeared.

In the village of Savoca a young girl, affectionately called the "Lucy" is carried on the shoulder of a porter along the streets of the country (sitting on a pillow tied on the shoulder of a man, but in fact men are two); the young Saint remains impassive in the face of demonic temptations: the Devil, called in Sicilian dialect "u Diavulazzu, shake, shakes, turns his pitchfork in an attempt to "distract" the Saint.

The first day of this representation, on Saturday, in an old church in Savoca, the two girls who impersonate the Lucia, of the current year and the previous year, meet with the delivery of palm; the traditional event which we witness on Saturday, has all the appearance of an important rehearsal for the next day, on Sunday when the traditional festival will take place in all its beauty.

Sunday: on top of the procession there are the "Jews" (the emissaries of the prefect Pascasio) along with some Angels, is located immediately after the wagon drawn by two cows from which branches off a rope that will arrive to Saint Lucia (a girl of six years); between her and the cows there are Roman soldiers, who make their way through the crowd squirming like crazy; to hold the rope there are also male figures; the job of Devil (his mask is made of wood, whose invoice is dated, it seems, of the 400') is to distract the little Saint with the help of a long stick equipped of curved points, called "u 'croccu": Lucia hardly is deceived by the promises of the evil one, she will not abandon the state of her property concentration, aided in this by staring, almost in a trance, a small palm branch in silver , she brings devoutly in her hands.It's very important to mention the Baron Baldassarre (nicknamed Baron Altadonna), who applied without any hesitation the practice of Jus de seigneur: using this law the Baron obliged the young brides to spend the wedding night in his alcove. It 'very possible that in the representation of Saint Lucia of Savoca the character of the Devil tempting young Santa with his pitchfork, in reality is nothing but himself, Baron Altadonna, so allegorically described in this traditional Sicilian feast: the figure of the Devil if one takes into account what historians relate, does not belong more to the legend, but sadly to actual event happened.

E' una bruttissima storia quanto accaduto tre giorni fa, un uomo di 63 anni, ha ucciso a colpi di pistola in pieno volto due donne, una di 48 anni, l'altra di 49 anni, per poi togliersi la vita, il tutto accaduto in una cittadina in provincia di Catania, una di loro avrebbe avuto una relazione extraconiugale con l'assassino: nel 2022 sono state 120 le donne uccise, 97 di loro sono state uccise in ambito familiare o affettivo, di queste 57 hanno trovato la morte per mano del partner o ex partner. Questo tragico e triste incipit legato al sempre attuale dramma dei femminicidi, per introdurre il racconto fotografico che ho realizzato nella cittadina di Savoca (Messina - Sicilia) il 13/08/2022, di una particolarissima rappresentazione che si era tenuta l'ultima volta nell'agosto del 2018; è una narrazione che vede contrapposto il Male (un diavolo armato di un lungo rampino), al Bene (Santa Lucia, che stringe tra le mani una foglia di palma d'argento), il Male-Diavolo tenta di sedurre-distrarre Santa Lucia col proprio rampino, invece Santa Lucia resta impassibile davanti le sue lusinghe: la violenza sulle donne in questa rappresentazione molto suggestiva, trova radici lontane e profonde, Santa Lucia in realtà rappresenta quelle donne che in epoca medioevale dovevano subire gli abusi perpetrati dal Barone di Savoca soprannominato "Barone Altadonna", che avvalendosi della legge "ius primae noctis" (dal latino "diritto della prima notte"), si riferiva al “diritto” secondo cui un signore feudale poteva violentare una donna appena sposata durante la sua prima notte di nozze. Quindi questa è una narrazione fotografica che parla dell'eterna lotta che avviene tra il bene ed il male, che parla di un periodo buio della storia, che parla delle violenze subite dalle donne ma anche da tutti coloro che appartenevano alle classi sociali più povere, fatti storici che sono stati tramandati fino a noi in forma di racconto ed associati-trasmutati nel martirio di Santa Lucia, questo è quanto accade nel paese di Savoca (Sicilia). Questo è un report della rappresentazione vivente del martirio di Santa Lucia (Santa patrona della città di Savoca); il culto della giovane Santa di Siracusa sembra risalire al XV secolo, sotto l'influenza delle tradizioni spagnole. La rievocazione vivente della storia di Santa Lucia avviene in due giornate consecutive, il sabato e la domenica: qui tento di raccontare alcuni momenti della giornata del sabato, giorno durante il quale la festa non si svolge nel pieno della sua bellezza, è il giorno durante il quale “la palma d’argento” viene consegnata “dalla Lucia della edizione precedente” alla “Lucia dell’attuale edizione”, è il giorno durante il quale si testano gli ultimi dettagli, soprattutto si mette alla prova “l’impassibilità della bambina che impersona Santa Lucia”, chiamata amorevolmente “la Lucia”. E' questa una rievocazione storica che parla di Demoni ed Angeli: la storia rievoca di quando la Santa, si rifiutò di andare in sposa ad un suo ricco e potente pretendente (essendosi dichiarata Cristiana e sposa in Cristo), il quale per vendetta riferì della fede Cristiana di Lucia al prefetto Pascasio; costui diede ordine ai suoi pretoriani di trascinare Lucia con una corda fino ad un lupanare, un luogo di prostituzione; la leggenda narra che la Santa divenne pesantissima, si tentò allora di trascinarla con l'ausilio dei buoi, ma fu impossibile smuoverla da dove si trovava; non riuscendo in ciò, fu allora dato l'ordine di cavarle gli occhi, ma alla giovane martire (nativa di Siracusa) gli occhi le rispuntarono. Nel paese di Savoca una giovane ragazza, chiamata con affetto "la Lucia" viene portata in spalla lungo le vie del paese (seduta su di un cuscino legato sulla spalla di un uomo; in realtà gli uomini portatori sono due, dandosi il cambio l'un l'altro); la giovane Santa rimane impassibile di fronte alle tentazioni demoniache: il Diavolo, chiamato in dialetto siciliano "u Diavulazzu, agita, scuote, fa ruotare il suo forcone nel tentativo di "distrarre" la Santa ma, vani saranno i suoi tentativi. Il primo giorno di questa rappresentazione, il sabato, in una vecchia chiesa di Savoca, le due bambine che impersonano la Lucia, dell'anno in corso e dell'anno precedente, si incontrano con la consegna della palma da una bimba all'altra; l'evento tradizionale al quale si assiste il sabato, ha tutto l'aspetto di una importante prova generale per il giorno dopo, quando la domenica la festa tradizionale avverrà in tutta la sua bellezza. La domenica: in cima alla processione ci sono i "Giudei" (gli emissari del prefetto Pascasio) insieme ad alcuni Angeli, subito dopo si trova il carro tirato da due giumente dalle quali si diparte una corda che giungerà fino a cingere il fianco della bimba che impersona Santa Lucia (una bambina di sei anni); tra lei e le giumente ci sono i soldati Romani, che si fanno largo tra la folla dimenandosi a più non posso; a tenere la corda ci sono anche delle figure maschili che evitano che gli strattonamenti dei soldati romani possano giungere fino alla Santa (ricordiamolo, che è legata a quella corda); davanti alla Santa piroetta il diavolo tentatore, u' Diavulazzu (la maschera è in legno, la cui fattura è datata, sembra, del 400'), il cui compito è quello di distrarre la piccola Santa con l'aiuto di un lungo bastone dotato di punte ricurve, chiamato dialettalmente "u' croccu": Lucia difficilmente si lascerà ingannare dalle promesse del Maligno, non abbandonerà quel suo stato di immobile concentrazione, aiutata in ciò dal fissare, quasi in stato di trance, un piccolo ramo di palma in argento, che lei stringe devotamente tra le sue mani. E’ fondamentale menzionare tra i vari personaggi storici della tradizione, il barone Baldassarre, vissuto in Savoca in epoca medioevale, soprannominato barone Altadonna, che applicava senza remora alcuna la pratica della Jus primae noctis: avvalendosi di questa legge il barone obbligava le giovani spose a trascorrere la prima notte di nozze nella sua alcova. E’ fortemente ipotizzabile che nella rappresentazione di Santa Lucia di Savoca il personaggio del Diavolo che tenta la giovane Santa col suo forcone, in realtà non sia altro che egli stesso, il barone Altadonna, così allegoricamente descritto nella festa tradizionale siciliana: la figura del Diavolo, se si tiene conto di quanto narrano gli storici, non apparterrebbe più alla leggenda, ma a questo tristo personaggio realmente vissuto, che usava quotidianamente la moneta della prepotenza.
