. . . is part of the reason why the City has closed the section of the Ledgewood Creek path by Hwy 12. It was not heavily used, and not developed, but that is why I found so many wildflowerd there.
20 May 2012: While walking the dog today at Ledgewood Creek around 7:00 a.m. I ran into another wanderer – a woman this time. She wanted to approach me, but I had no money, and I simply wasn’t up to it today. She had just frightened off the egret I had been patiently following, and my joints hurt, and I wanted to go home. That makes it 5 people I’ve encountered in the last 90 days who might have temporarily been living rough at the creek. It’s an unhappy circumstance that we have citizens without a place to go – I think about family members who have struggled, and my heart is heavy for these poor souls. Fairfield closed off a section of Ledgewood Creek 2 weeks ago, and I suspect this issue is to blame. Today I’m putting together a Ledgewood Creek set, and including pictures related to my personal unhappiness at the closure of the Hwy 12 section.
I think this actually is a part of splitting off two canals from the main line, but I wouldn't want to swear to it. Glad it's someone else's job to know exactly what they are and how they work.
Blurry thought it is, I wonder if this is the last pic of it in operation...

Perhaps Contraption at Kings Cross today 30/9- Victorian Themed Family day - livening things up a bit. The sun was very bright - so there is some squinting going on.

Perhaps one of the better distractions in my office is a mini etch a sketch. Students and professors alike appreciate the activity. #smallthings #happy

dr_jt_taylor: Man, I could never make anything on that thing. I was forever shaking it to start over.
turtlemyth: Hehe, it's there to help keep peeps calm, it works 😃
I generally find selective colorization distasteful and cheesy, but with this photo I gave it a shot.
It's still distasteful and cheesy. My apologies.
The Ground Lizard, missing for many years, but now back in full force. Clearly something has brought them back, perhaps a reduction in pesticide use, or the drop in the snake population...

Papin is thinking. About what, I don't know exactly. I just loved this pose with such a cute pinky outfit.
